Ch.58 - Checking Headquarters II

Xiao Jung and Fu Chen hid behind the trees when they arrived at the Black Bear headquarters. The base is lined with pointed wood and there is a surveillance tower inside.

Xiao Jung's eyes caught all the guards there looking very relaxed. Those guards were only level with third-rate warriors. Xiao Jung then turned his head towards Fu Chen, he nodded his head as if giving a gesture.

The two then quickly slipped to approach the two gatekeepers who were busy chatting. Quickly, each of Xiao Jung and Fu Chen knocked the two guards unconscious and dragged the two to hide.

Xiao Jung glanced at the guards who were in the tower afterwards, there were only three people and all of them were asleep. Xiao Jung intended to make their sleep a little longer so that they wouldn't wake up because of the noise that might occur.

"Follow me," Xiao Jung said and jumped over the wooden fence and was followed by Fu Chen.

Inside there it turned out to be quite quiet and it made Xiao Jung's forehead wrinkle. He looked around, there was no one he saw standing guard around the base.

Not wanting to stall any longer, Xiao Jung told Fu Chen to stand guard below while he climbed the tower. Xiao Jung tied up the slumbering tower guards, he also tied the cloth in their mouths.

"Senior, I heard the chatter of some people inside there, maybe they are warriors in charge of guarding this headquarters," Fu Chen said without turning his head towards Xiao Jung, perhaps, his gaze focused on the building in the middle of the headquarters.

"Let's check it out."

It was easy enough for the two of them to get inside the building, the guard there was completely loose. Xiao Jung guessed that most of the other members were doing their act.

They both searched the source of the sound and found that it came from a room that was thought to be a room.

"To be in this place really makes me sick. The chairman even forbade us to touch the girls, this is really unfair" Grumbled one of the guards.

"Because it's our job, you should be happy because we don't have to bother out there" said the other guard.

The previous guard was grieving, he was not happy about not being able to do anything in this place.

Xiao Jung eavesdropped on their conversation from behind the wall while putting together a plan. Right now, the task of the two of them was just to inspect this headquarters and rescue the prisoners.

"Chen'er, find the prisoners' location on the crib! I'll take care of them" Xiao Jung said and was replied to a nod by Fu Chen.

Fu Chen immediately left Xiao Jung and traced every passageway in the building. Xiao Jung then slightly breathed in, he then knocked on the door of the guards room.

Geck! Geck!

"Excuse me, sir, I came to deliver food," Xiao Jung said from outside in a slightly feminine voice.

The guards' eyebrows frowned upon hearing it. They never asked for food by anyone. The two guards who were talking looked at each other before one of them opened the door.

"Who's the Ohok?!" The guard bounced with his eyes wide when a kick hit his stomach after opening the door.

Xiao Jung walked in casually, he then raised an eyebrow for a moment, "Oh... are there five people?" Xiao Jung said as he shook his waist.

The clement!

Xiao Jung twisted his body to lock the door behind him then grinned widely. All of the Guards who were there became on standby, they took out their respective weapons.

"Who are you?!" The guard that was bouncing. His chest still felt tight due to the kick earlier.

Xiao Jung still calmed down then glanced at the man, he said, "I came to pick you up, there are a lot of people you should meet."

The guards were furious instead of playing, they began to attack regardless of the narrow enough room.

Meanwhile Fu Chen had discovered the location of the prisoners in the husks after quite a long time surrounding the building. But he could not act rashly because there were five guards there. It was not a problem for Fu Chen to defeat them, but it was another matter for him not to make a fuss.

Fu Chen stared at the dagger he had taken from the gatekeeper. He watched the guard for a moment, they were all gathering and talking to each other. Fu Chen thought that maybe he could kill one or two of the five guards using his Shadow Steps.

Fu Chen recalled the third exam he went through, the situation back then was exactly the same as the one he was now facing. Fu Chen revealed a faint smile before muttering, "I'm sorry senior. The path we choose is not the same…"

Using his Shadow Steps, Fu Chen had appeared near the guards, then the dagger in his hand stuck into the neck of one of the guards. The guards were too late to notice, yet they had no time to pull the sword a punch had lodged in their stomachs and heads.

Not wanting to stop, Fu Chen approached one of the guards who was still falling on the ground while grimacing in pain. With a single swing of his hand, the dagger in his hand he threw and stuck it right on the guard's forehead.

Unknowingly, the remaining three guards took a few steps back. It was only less than 20 seconds for the young man before them at the moment to kill his comrades.

The prisoners who saw it as well, they did not feel better even though the young man killed the guard. They all crammed into the corner of the cell with fear.

"You... What are you doing here?" Said one of the guards with a trembling tone.

Fu Chen was silent, he thrust out his palm, then said, "Give me the key!"

The guards were stunned, the voice of this creepy young man sounded like a child. One of the guards then approached Fu Chen arrogantly. He was confident enough to defeat this brat in front of him.

"Who do you think you are, boy? You're only lucky that we weren't ready before" said the guard with a big smile. He felt victorious because the boy in front of him was not struggling.

The guard did not know that Fu Chen was holding the heat on his body at the moment. The sensation was even hotter than usual. All his training used to be meaningless, the heat in his body seemed to make him want to explode.

"The answer is my question, boy!" The guard immediately swung his hand to slap Fu Chen.

The young man who had been silent since then now raised his head, his hand moving quickly clutching the guard's hand with a piercing look.

"Give me the keys! Don't make me repeat it again or…"

Kreeks!!

"Aaaargh!!"

The sound of broken bones was heard on the sidelines of Fu Chen's words.The young man clasped the guard's hand in his hand and made the hand crumble.

Fu Chen's eyes were then fixed on the two guards who were still standing some distance away from him. As if understanding the intent of the young man's gaze in front of him, the guard picked up the key inside his shirt pocket with a trembling hand.

The guard kneeled down as he put his hand up to hand over the key. His body did not stop trembling as the sound of footsteps approached him.

Fu Chen did not care about the guard's condition, he began to approach the cage there.

One of the women in clothes that looked neater than the others ventured to approach Fu Chen from inside the cage.

"Sir.. save me! My family is a rich merchant, I will pay you whatever you ask if you take me out" said the woman, taking her hand out of the cell, trying to reach Fu Chen who was outside.

The woman's words then made the people in other confinements do the same. They told each other to persuade Fu Chen and make noise in the room.

"Shut up!" Fu Chen who was having a hard time restraining his emotions snapped at all of them with an intimidating look.

The prisoners shut their mouths shut. The atmosphere became silent, even they were forced to hold their breath for a few moments.

"I'll get you out of here. So calm down, and follow my words," Fu Chen said softly and opened one of the confinements.

Krieet!

The sound of the cage door creaking as it opened. The prisoners did not leave immediately because they were waiting for orders from Fu Chen. The young man then opened one by one the cage there.
