Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman

Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman
Ch.2 - Sword

Fu Chen was currently carrying fruits carried by a horse from his father's garden, intending to sell them at a tavern.

He was accompanied by his sister and Sin Lou, the three of them intended to sell the fruits in the taverns of Aunt Fei that they already knew.

Aunty Fei's shop can be quite spacious, even though it only has one floor but Aunt Fei's tavern is always crowded with visitors. There is not only selling fruits but also other foods and drinks such as wine.

When Fu Chen who was with Fu Mei and Sin lou arrived there, he found that Auntie Fei's tavern was more crowded than usual.

"Who are these people? I had never seen their faces in this Village before" Sin Lou said in surprise, moreover, most of the people who came to the tavern owned by Aunt Fei this time had a sword or a machete tucked in their waist.

"I think they are warriors who are resting, or maybe these warriors are just curious about our Village who is given the opportunity to participate in the selection of the Sacred Sword Sect."

Fu Chen felt that this was a natural thing, because the previously unheard Village actually got the chance to follow the selection of the Sacred Sword Sect would make others curious like the Village.

"Chen'er is right, they are warriors who want to know the condition of our village..." Aunt Fei confirmed Fu Chen's statement, then told the two to take down the fruits that were still in the wagon.

Fu Mei herself went to the back of the store to help wash the dishes there, this is one of their regular activities every weekend.

After they finished weighing the fruit they brought, Fu Chen and Sin Lou went to the carousel table to fetch a wage. While waiting for Aunt Fei to count the wages, Fu Chen noticed everyone in the tavern.

"Well, isn't he a thief? Why is he here?" Fu Chen asked Aunt Fei while pointing at someone who was cleaning the table.

"I asked him to work here, at least now he won't steal anymore to get food."

Fu Chen nodded a few times before turning his gaze elsewhere.

Fu Chen's gaze then locked onto a handsome swordsman who was enjoying his meal. If noticed, the swordsman looks 35 years old with long hair and thin bangs that are split in half, the length of which reaches down the ear adds to the handsome of the swordsman.

But Fu Chen's attention was not focused on the warrior's face. Fu Chen actually noticed that his sword seemed smaller than the other swordsmen in the tavern. The shape was slightly curved, the length of the sword was approximately one and a half meters if noticed.

Fu Chen also noticed every detail on the sword, he had to sharpen his gaze in order to notice the sword more clearly.

On the scabbard there are some carvings that are like in the gold layer, the carving is in the form of a bird with fire that blazes through its wings and tail, and the carving is in the form of a bird with fire that flares through its wings and tail, there were also symbols and writings that Fu Chen could not understand.

The swordsman was actually aware of Fu Chen's gaze watching his sword, but he wanted to finish the food he had ordered first.

The warrior got up and walked towards the chariot to pay for the food he had spent, there were also Fu Chen and Sin Lou.

Fu Chen only realized that the warrior he had noticed was walking towards him. He rushed to turn his body, cold sweat began to appear on Fu Chen's forehead, his heart also reacted by beating faster.

Fear haunted his mind right then and there. He realized what he had done could offend the swordsman. The footsteps that sounded increasingly clear in his ears made Fu Chen's heart beat even faster.

But when a hand touched Fu Chen's shoulder, his feelings only felt better, his mind slowly calmed down and his heart returned to normal. Fu Chen felt that there was a warm energy entering his body and that made him feel comfortable.

The swordsman smiled gently at Fu Chen who glanced at him, the swordsman's gaze then turned to Aunt Fei.

"How much did all my orders total Aunty…?"

"Eh.. wait a minute, I'll count it.." While waiting for Aunt Fei to count, the swordsman turned his gaze back towards Fu Chen.

"What's your name Young Man?" The swordsman felt attracted to Fu Chen because all this time only a handful of children were interested in his sword.

"F-Fu Chen sir. and this is my friend, Sin Lou.." Fu Chen replied with his head still bowed, his hands he put on the knees that meet each other. He deliberately mentioned Sin Lou's name so that the young man was involved in the problem.

Sin Lou only realized that there was a warrior sitting next to Fu Chen when his name was mentioned. He was still busy watching the warriors carrying the great swords on their backs and waists.

If he succeeds in becoming a swordsman, Sin Lou intends to choose a weapon that is large enough to look gallant.

Fu Chen choked on his own breath as the swordsman placed his sword on the table, he did not dare to simply answer the question.

"I-I.." Fu Chen could not finish his sentence because Aunt Fei had approached the swordsman back.

"The total is 2 pieces of silver swordsman." said Aunt Fei after calculating the swordsman's food bill. The warrior took out a piece of gold and put it on the table.

Aunt Fei's breathing was slightly stifled looking at her.

"Th-this…"

"What's Bi…? Does this tavern not accept gold coins?" The swordsman said casually, deliberately giving out gold coins so that he would be more free to talk to Fu Chen.

"Bu-not so swordsman.but maybe it will take a little longer for the change…"

"No, Auntie, I'll be waiting for you."

Aunt Fei seemed hesitant, but the swordsman came back convincing so that the swordsman got his chance to talk to Fu Chen.

"Well.young man. Ah, I mean.. Chen'er, are you interested in a sword like this?" the swordsman changed his voice to be softer and pointed at his sword that was on the table.

"I-iya swordsman," Fu Chen replied stammeringly.

The coach smiled hearing that. "Do you know what sword I'm carrying?"

Fu Chen shook his head, he himself did not know how many types of swords there were in this World.

The sword was known as the Katana, in the Eastern continent itself there were not many who used it because people preferred a double-edged sword that was slightly larger in size and thicker when compared to the Katana.

The swordsman said the Katana sword was not in the interest of many people in the eastern continent because of its fragile shape. In addition, the Katana sword is a little more difficult to use than the double-edged sword in general.

"Master himself why choose this sword if it is indeed said to be fragile?" Fu Chen ventured to ask.

"Haha...if you've loved one thing so much, will you turn to something else?" The swordsman smiled faintly, "If it were, then you wouldn't be able to understand the meaning of the thing you love."

"It is basically we who sharpen a sword, not a sword that sharpens us. The strength or fragility of a sword depends on how we use it."

Fu Chen frowned when he heard it, he was unable to interpret the swordsman's remark any further.

"You don't have to worry, you have a long way to go to understand this, you are also very young...How old are you now?"

"Emh. seven years, I think another two months will be eight years." Fu Chen replied with a little thought.

"I'm eight years old!" Sin Lou who had just watched.

The swordsman smiled faintly hearing that, Fu Chen's age was still very young yet he had a bone quality that the swordsman could not measure. He wondered what this child would be like.

It was true, the swordsman had checked the quality of Fu Chen's bones when he touched the child's shoulders.

"You want to hold this sword?" the warrior thrust his sword.

"REally!?" Sin Lou replied excitedly.

Sin Lou felt interested in grasping a real sword, even though it was not his dream type. The scabbard was very beautiful with gold and red in each carving, making Sin Lou's eyes slightly sparkling.
