Ch.96 - Exercise II

On the second day, Li Chun asked Fu Chen and the others to do the same task, again Li Chun did not explain anything so as to make Sin Lou feel quite relaxed.

On this second day Fu Chen was still trying to warn his friends to be careful but his words were like the wind. Sin Lou who felt his understanding had improved slightly thanks to the advice from Li Chun had now begun to be confident to lead the way.

The three young men began to dare to venture into the forest deeper and capture the larger game animals.

The next day Li Chun also gave the same task and it continued for four consecutive days. Li Chun's plan was nearing its end point, he had made Sin Lou and Kyoto ignore Fu Chen's warnings and made the boy lower his guard.

The three young men's relationship with Li Chun was getting closer even though Li Chun had not yet appointed them as his students.

"Teacher Li, what is our duty today?" Sin Lou faced Li Chun while saluting him, he felt excited as he already had plans to enter the deeper parts of the forest.

"How many times have I said, don't call me teacher!" Li Chun sighed softly, "Just do as you normally would."

"Good!" The smile on Sin Lou's face widened rapidly.

Sin Lou approached Fu Chen who was cleaning his sword then asked him to prepare, "Let's hurry! Our target today is the bear! Hahaha.." said Sin Lou excitedly, before Sin Lou managed to find a bear nest and he intends to take the skin because in his village the price of bear skin was quite expensive.

Although Fu Chen looked calm at the moment, he was always gathering clues and trying to connect them to each other. From the first moment Li Chun gave this easy task Fu Chen felt that there was an awkwardness that he could not reveal.

now Fu Chen only needed to follow Li Chun's game while paying attention to the steps he took. Although a little doubt at least Fu Chen was still convinced that Li Chun had a plan that could help him develop.

The moment the three young men had left Li Chun the arrival of a guest, he was the elder Li Han who a few days earlier had returned to his residence due to some sort of affair.

Li Chun slightly raised his head to look at the figure of elder Li Han jumping among the bamboo branches, "Tua Bangka why are you still back?" Li Chun looked unhappy.

Li Han just laughed softly, "My business there is done, so I want to see the development of those children."

Currently Li Chun only told him that he wanted to know the way Fu Chen understood the situation and solved the problem, Li Chun wanted to see how that child would deal with this world.

"I still haven't done anything to them, they are still too early to follow my training," Li Chun said with a wry smile. "When how many times have I said so, I will only train disciples who are the level of a Combat General."

Li Han's forehead twitched, "You think it's easy to find someone as great as that in their teens? Basic, if there was one, I wouldn't give it to you."

Li Han grumbled softly but his sense of regret was only momentary because he wanted to discuss more important matters. Li Han wanted to make sure once again what Fu Chen and his friends were doing during these four days and what Li Chun was planning to do.

Li Chun did not say much, saying that their actual training would start today. Li Han suspected that Li Chun was just lazing around and had only intended to give training because he had come, but Li Chun insisted that this was one of his plans.

"You wanna bet with me? If you win then I'll give you one glass of this Holy tea." Li Han took out a jade bottle from inside his pocket then showed it to Li Chun.

Li Chun frowned, he knew Holy Tea was a rare herb that could clear one's mind. The price of this herb is very expensive, one bottle held by elder Li that alone can be used for up to half a year.

Li Chun thought for a moment, an opportunity like this certainly could not be missed but he himself was still suspicious of what kind of bet Li Han had proposed. "Before that, what kind of gamble do you want?"

"It's easy," Li Han smiled widely, The bet of the two is about Li Chun's plan. Li Han made a bet on whether Fu Chen would maintain his belief or join in the game of Li Chun.

Li Chun's smile widened quickly after hearing it, with a spirit he said that Fu Chen would fall into his game. "Then I risked my Arak Mustika."

Li Chun looked serious but his mouth was trying to hold back a laugh. Li Chun really regretted Li Han's stupidity for underestimating him too much, Li Chun believed that with Fu Chen's unbroken mentality he would get Li Han's Sacred tea easily.

"Well, now let's wait for the boy." Li Han grinned thinly then kept his Sacred Tea back.

Meanwhile, there was a great chase in the middle of the forest. Because Sin Lou had asked his friends to part with the reason of looking for more game animals, now he actually got into trouble alone. A swarm of bees was chasing him with rage.

Previously Sin Lou thought to take honey from the beehive he found, but instead of getting honey he actually made the queen bee angry and chased after him. Sin Lou did not know that the beehive he was using belonged to a hundred-year-old bee demon.

"Hua... How is this? Fu Chen where are you?! Save me!!" Sin Lou ran over frantically while searching for the whereabouts of the Other, tears rushing in imagining if he was caught by the swarm of bees.

Fu Chen jumped between the branches of the tree while waiting for the moment to help Sin Lou. Fu Chen took out a twig and passed the qi on to her, seeing the Queen of Bees chasing Sin Lou unaware of her position, Fu Chen threw the twig towards the Queen of Bees who was in the front row, who was at the very front, then Fu Chen moved quickly to pull Sin Lou.

The queen bee who was unaware of the attack was forced to have a scratch on her skin and gave Fu Chen a slight chance.

"F-Fu Chen... You helped me…?" Sin Lou still shed tears.

Fu Chen continued running and ignoring Sin Lou's words, he was looking for a way to keep the bee demon from chasing him. Fu Chen took a glance back and found the Queen of Bees only scratched, but he was quite sure that at least the attack would give serious injuries. Fu Chen no longer knew what Sin Lou was thinking until he was so strong.

Not long after, Fu Chen saw Kyoto binding a rabbit. Fu Chen shouted out loud enough for the boy to realize his whereabouts.

"QUICK RUN!" fu Chen's shout made Kyoto a little surprised as well as confused.

"Huh? What-what!!" Kyoto slightly tilted his fist but when he saw the swarm of bees behind Fu Chen his eyes became wide-eyed. His trembling hands slowly took the dagger under his cloak, for the rest of his life he had never seen a bee as big as a human baby like that.

"Free! This bee is a demon!" Fu Chen realized what Kyoto wanted to do and immediately stopped it.

Kyoto pegged for a moment, his attention locked on the Queen bee who looked so angry behind Fu Chen. The queen bee looks so scary that Kyoto can not move her legs, Kyoto only realized when her hands were pulled by Fu Chen.

"W-what happened-?" Kyoto kept back his dagger and ran alongside Fu Chen.

"There's no time to explain, now we have to find a water source or anything to hide!" Fu Chen clenched his teeth, Fu Chen felt hesitant to use the science of lightening his body, fearing that Sin Lou and Kyoto could not keep up with his speed.

"Water?" Kyoto remembers he once found a small lake around here then asked Fu Chen and Sin Lou to follow him.

After a while they arrived at the location of the lake, Sin Lou was a little reluctant to enter because the place looked terrible. "Are you sure?" Sin Lou gulped roughly.

"There's no other choice!" Fu Chen then pulled Sin Lou's arm into the water to let the bees leave them. To Fu Chen's knowledge the bees in general were very fond of water so their chances of freedom were greater.

The herd of Bees chasing the three young men then stopped right above them. The humming sound from the wings of the bees was even heard into the water. Seen in the eyes of the Queen bee who was so sharp directed into the lake, his gaze seemed to hold such a deep anger and revenge.

After a while later, the bees are forced to leave as they must also keep their hives back before the arrival of other enemies.

"Yumaha!"

Fu Chen, Sin Lou and Kyoto displayed their faces to the surface, their faces flushed with hunting breaths. Holding your breath for a few minutes in the water is not easy.

"Are we safe?" Sin Lou gulped his saliva violently then adjusted his difficult messy breathing.

Kyoto spread his gaze around, a moment later he widened his eyes in surprise. "S-it looks like we still have to run." Kyoto said in a trembling tone.

"What-What-I" Sin Lou choked on his own saliva when he saw a bunch of crocodiles start approaching them. His body felt weak but his life was also being threatened.

Fu Chen deftly helped his two friends to swim to the outskirts but the crocodiles just got more aggressive and started chasing them.

"BABY!!"
