Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman

Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman
Ch.99 - Advice

Li Han realized that Sin Lou and Kyoto's fruit was gone when he glanced at the two children. He was very surprised when both of them said casually that the Celestial Goddess Peach fruit was now inside their stomachs.

"Based on a stupid boy! Didn't you hear my explanation?!" Li Han yelled at the two boys out of worry. To eat the Celestial Goddess Peaches fruit at least one had to prepare their mental as well as physical endurance.

"I heard, but look! There is no one -!" Sin Lou puffed out his words as his chest hurt.

Kyoto also experienced the same thing, the breath of the two boys sounded heavy with the body starting to feel cold hot.

"T-Luck, what's-.. ugh!" Sin Lou widened his eyes as he felt so much qi energy gushing out from his stomach.

"I had expected this to happen.." Li Han sighed softly before approaching Sin Lou and Kyoto.

"What's going on?" fu Chen asked a little worriedly.

"The fruit's efficacy has already begun to work," Li Han replied before asking Sin Lou and kyoto to focus on the flow of qi in their bodies. Li Han would help the two children stabilize the overflowing qi energy.

"You'd better see Li Chun soon, he said he wanted to tell you something" Li Han said.

Fu Chen glanced at Sin Lou and Kyoto for a moment out of worry but he was sure Li Han would help them both. "Okay, please help."

Fu Chen then immediately searched for Li Chun's whereabouts, initially Fu Chen wanted to search inside the house but immediately broke off the intention of feeling uncomfortable and went back to looking outside first.

It turned out that Li Chun was relaxing behind his house while being accompanied by a jug of wine. Fu Chen approached slowly, not wanting his arrival to disturb Li Chun's composure.

"Oh, it turns out you haven't consumed that peach. What's your excuse?" li Chun asked because Fu Chen looked fine.

"Do I have to answer that question?" Fu Chen asked back and still acted calm.

"Haha not really," Li Chun laughed softly, "Your attitude is too stiff boy. However I am your teacher, show some respect when dealing with me."

Fu Chen did not answer anything, he just nodded slowly and waited for what kind of talk made Li Chun ask to see him.

"You're still wary of people like me because of your background, huh? What a pathetic boy," Li Chun said before verticaling the wine he had poured into the small cup.

"Tomorrow morning meet me as usual! Prepare all the Tang clan martial arts you have learned all along. Although it wasn't too close at least I used to know one person from that clan." li Chun's voice sounded softly as he said his last sentence.

"Mu-just me?" Fu Chen felt that it was unfair that his friends did not practice.

"The two friends won't be able to follow the exercise for the next few days, they have to finish the peach absorption properly."

Fu Chen nodded in understanding, it is true that some high-level resources take longer to absorb, but it is also influenced by what knowledge is used to absorb them.

Fu Chen then left Li Chun because there was nothing more to talk about. As Li Chun requested, Fu Chen chose not to sleep and began to recall every understanding his father had taught him. Although the technique Fu Chen mastered was not much, it was more than enough for him now.

Time went by quickly, Fu Chen immediately came to Li Chun as the morning began to pick him up. Fu Chen had seen the condition of his two friends, it turned out that Li Han was still there to help them.

When Fu Chen came, it turned out that Li Chun had also warmed up as usual. Li Chun then took a bamboo cut as big as a thumb with a length of one meter. Li Chun did not want to be stale, he asked Fu Chen to follow him out of the bamboo forest.

Fu Chen nodded slowly, he realized Li Chun wanted to make it easy and did not want to hear the reason for running out of qi while fighting. Fighting against a Sacred warrior-level figure definitely made Fu Chen have to exert everything.

"I will not use my strengths as a Sacred Warrior or any other ability. This is purely a sword practice and you are free to do whatever it takes to make me admit defeat," li Chun said as he passed the border of the bamboo forest.

Fu Chen took a deep breath while closing his eyes, trying to gather concentration before making an attack. Although Li Chun promised to use only his sword techniques but the difference between them was like heaven and earth.

"Hiroshi Calmness.." Thin smoke came out of Fu Chen's mouth as he uttered it. Fu Chen's body shot out like the wind with a sword ready to be pulled out. However, the surprise attack turned out to be successfully fielded by Li Chun.

"Oh. a good start," Li Chun said as he raised his eyebrows and smiled faintly.

Fu Chen jumped back realizing his attack was unsuccessful but a moment later he again attacked, "Shadow Steps…"

Fu Chen's figure suddenly disappeared then reappeared with an increasing number. Fu Chen's shadow looked like it was circling Li Chun while pointing his sword.

At first Li Chun thought it was an illusion but a moment later he realized it was a reflection of Fu Chen's movements. "Haha, incredible speed for a boy like you. So, what else are you waiting for? Come over!"

Li Chun glanced at every shadow of Fu Chen circling around him in anticipation of an impromptu attack that might happen again.

Fu Chen's shadow then disappeared in the blink of an eye but Li Chun could easily tell where Fu Chen was going to attack from.

"God!" Li Chun smiled faintly before twisting his body and fending off Fu Chen's attack coming from above.

Fu Chen was quite surprised to see it until reflexes jumped back a few meters and kept their distance. Fu Chen regained his breath while staring at Li Chun sharply. The bamboo used by Li Chun was not damaged even though Fu Chen was sure to have swung his sword strongly.

"Your attacks are too easy to read." Li Chun was still relaxed.

Fu Chen was aware of the difference in his campaigns but he would not give up until here. "How about this. Combination moves, Hiroshi First, Shadow Steps…"

This time Fu Chen no longer used surprise attacks, he swung his sword from the front while trying to outwit Li Chun.

Li Chun only needed to make a few simple moves to dodge Fu Chen's attack, at first he was a little interested because Fu Chen continued to attack without giving a gap but after receiving dozens of attacks Li Chun realized the technique used by Fu Chen felt a little strange.

"Did you underestimate me by using techniques like this?" The flow of the fight instantly changed, Li Chun who had previously only survived now started fighting back.

"Changing a technique without knowing its true potential is a great sin for a swordsman. And you, the boy without the sword knowledge dares to combine the high-level sword techniques with the lowly knowledge of the Sacred Sword sect."

Li Chun increased the strength of each swing of his hand and made Fu Chen desperately try not to be pushed or fall.

"Aagh!" erang Fu Chen as several blows hit his body.

"Your biggest mistake is that you're greedy! The one who mastered a thousand techniques would not be superior to the one who studied several sword techniques."

Li Chun ended his attack with a hard blow to Fu Chen's hand as well as a kick that made the young man fall.

"Giggly!!" Fu Chen coughed softly.

"Your hands are not worthy to hold a sword! The sword is not used for pleasure, there is the burden and responsibility of every sword that is pulled from its sheath." Li Chun turned his back to Fu Chen then returned in the initial position he was standing in.

"Remember! Your swordsmanship won't develop if you always try to change his appearance. The sword is not an art, the way you use the sword will show you what you're like." Li Chun took a breath for a moment and asked Fu Chen to immediately attack him back.

Fu Chen slightly gritted his teeth, despite feeling annoyed but Fu Chen had to accept every advice of Li Chun in order for him to develop. Everything Li Chun said was true, so far he only looked at a technique only in terms of beauty and no intention to explore it further.
