Mortal To Immortal (Book 1)

Mortal To Immortal (Book 1)
Ep. 109 - Magic Feathers

In the process of regrowing her hands, Hua Ren did indeed feel pain as well as heat. The pure Qi of the wood element and water Yao Han suppressed that unease. But after the process was over, Hua Ren seemed to forget the pain he previously felt from being amazed at the miracle Yao Han showed.

For some time, Hua Ren dissolved with a feeling of pleasure to regain his intact left hand. He is no longer a disabled person.

"Han'er, you really are a prodigy."

Yao Han smiled faintly, "Mayor is too much, my abilities are actually limited if not for the help of the red feather earlier."

"May I know what fur is? Where'd you get that magic thing?"

"I can't tell you in detail, Mayor. You better not know it because it could endanger our lives, even the townspeople..."

Yao Han just told the feather it was a gift from his teacher. There were two strands of feathers he had and now one was left.

He had to lie because it was for Hua Ren's sake as well. After all no one was harmed if he lied to Hua Ren.

The leader of the Flower Hill City gulped nervously, he could see the seriousness of Yao Han's words and look in the eyes, "Alright, alright, I understand. Thank you so much for your precious help."

"Mayor is too proud. At least with this you no longer have trouble moving. I want to help you before I continue my journey."

Hua Ren's smile faded, "Ah, do you want to leave again? How-how long? Are you going back to Flower Hill Town?"

Yao Han explained he 'must' travel to see the wider world. Ever since he became a cultivator seven years ago, you could say he was no longer part of Flower Hill City.

Just because he had once lived and grew up in Flower Hill City, making Yao Han's destination the first time after leaving Star Moon Island was his hometown.

Right now, if Yao Han wanted to return home after being content to wander, then the house he was heading to was the residence of his first teacher, Feng Xian on the highest mountain peak of Star Moon Island. His family that he had now were his teacher and teacher uncle.

Yao Han couldn't be sure if he would return to Flower Hill City or not, but perhaps he would come again if there was some spare time.

"So then, I get it."

Hua Ren still hoped that Yao Han would stay forever in Flower Hill City and make this small town develop into a big city.

Although she was young, but with the abilities Yao Han currently possessed, Hua Ren felt Yao Han was suitable to become a substitute mayor of her in the future. However he realized, Yao Han was no longer the youngster he used to be so he could not prevent his departure.

"Han'er, you might think that I'm shameless, moreover I can't repay all the kindness you did. But I want to ask you for your help once again."

"The mayor should not say it."

"If on the way you meet Feng'er, can you help him in practice?"

"Feng gege's? Hm, he joined the sect. It is likely that we will meet while he is on a mission outside the sect. Or I could go to his sect and look for him. Take it easy, mayor, I'll help her, but what kind of help?"

"Enough by giving him the resources of pills. Feng'er's talent is limited, I hope that at least he can reach the Foundation Realm even if it only forms the Mortal Foundation."

In the Dimension Pagoda, Meirong and Yutian compactly snorted in annoyance. The word 'enough' never existed in the dictionary of the cultivator's life. Nonsense if Hua Ren was satisfied with Hua Feng who could only form the Mortal Foundation, because the cultivator's practice journey would stop there.

If not for Yao Han, Meirong and Yutian would not have held back and made calculations on Hua Ren by burning or poisoning him.

"All right, Mayor."

"One more time I thank you Han'er."

Given the past, Yao Han and Hua Feng's relationship was fairly close before the mayor's son became part of the sect.

After Hua Ren relayed his request, Yao Han thought of helping Hua Feng to reach at least the twelfth level of the Basic Realm and had a chance to form the Earth Foundation, instead, so that there is another additional opportunity in the future to reach the Core Realm by forming the weakest core, the Yellow Core.

***

Yao Han's five pure spirit roots had already reached the peak of the seventeenth level of the Basic Realm. Yao Han only needed to break through a boundary wall as thin as a strand of hair to break through the eighteen level Basic Realm.

Right now, Yao Han was sitting cross-legged on the edge of the river behind the small forest of Flower Hill City. On three sides, stood Bing Lizi, Meirong, and Yutian. They had just created a formation wall, so that others could not see Yao Han and all his activities.

Half an hour later, from Yao Han's body radiated a fierce Qi followed by a dazzling bright golden blue light. The light then enlarged and formed a towering pillar of light. Thanks to the magic formation, the light pillar was only a hundred meters tall and could not penetrate into the sky.

Tian Jian and Bolang who were not far from the magic formation could only clack in admiration. Yao Han was the first cultivator they knew of to have successfully reached the eighteenth level of the Basic Realm, even though it was for fire elemental pure spirit roots alone.

The blue-golden pillar of light from Yao Han's body lingered for quite a while before slowly disappearing. Yao Han did not immediately open his eyes, wanting to solidify the practice and familiarize himself with his new strength.

Based on the experience on Star Moon Island, Yao Han would re-emerge the light pillar four times while raising the practice of the other four pure spirit roots.

"Fwildah..."

Yao Han exhaled a long breath and smiled widely. His body felt lighter as well as stronger.

As he stood up, the voice jade that he made the necklace's eyes lit up brightly, a sign Feng Xian contacted him. Yao Han felt astonished because it was only a while ago that he communicated with Feng Xian the last time.

'Maybe there's some important news...'

Sure enough, the news that Feng Xian had delivered had not only shocked him, but Yutian as well. Nothing else was news of Xu Yang, the first son of the Poison Heart Valley Patriarch.

Yutian was silent for quite a while before sighing deeply.
