MTI 145 - Uncle and Nephew

Xu Yin was again taken aback by Yutian's sudden appearance in the form of a jade snake. He and Yao Han were talking about the 'someone' in question, knowing that it just appeared.

"Teacher She?" yao Han whispered very slowly.

"Let me explain to this girl. You must be tired of answering questions from her."

"Teacher sure?"

"Sooner or later, they'll know the truth. Telling this girl now or later doesn't make any difference."

"As for the teacher."

Xu Yin watched Yutian in the form of a jade snake with great interest. Actually he was curious about this snake because besides being rare, as Xu Yin recalled, the Jade Heaven Ruling Snake belonged to a type of spirit beast that was bound by blood contracts or another name was the Dao Animal.

It was simply impossible for a Dao Beast to appear without a cultivator performing a blood contract seal and Xu Yin did not see Yao Han doing that to bring up this jade snake.

Yutian was present in the form of a jade snake with the smallest body size and wrapped around Yao Han's arm, making Xu Yin who was watching him feel anxious.

His true form is a man in his mid-twenties, all-green appearance ranging from his hair, eyes, and clothes. What was unique was the purple pattern around his eyes and the pupils of his eyes that were like the pupils of snake eyes.

Xu Yin was very surprised, her eyes and mouth were wide open. His shock as the jade snake was able to transform into a human was mixed with Yutian's extremely handsome and dashing appearance.

"Reserve yourself, little girl." Yutian flicked his finger in front of Xu Yin's face who was stunned to see her face.

Xu Yin closed her mouth and blinked her eyes a few times. His eyes could not be separated from Yutian's face.

"You look a lot like your mother, little girl. You remind me of Liu Yin's sister. Even your name is the same as her."

"Eh?" Xu Yin was even more shocked because Yutian mentioned about her long-lost late mother.

"How do you know about my mother?"

Yao Han first reacted, "Don't talk carelessly. You talk to my teacher, show me your manners."

"Your teacher?" Xu Yin reflexively distanced herself, still while staring at Yutian, "Why is your teacher disguised as a spirit animal?"

Xu Yin thought Yutian was Feng Xian, because Yao Han indirectly introduced Yutian as his teacher and as far as the girl knew, Yao Han was an East Wind disciple, Feng Xian.

Yutian patted Yao Han on the shoulder, preventing him from responding to Xu Yin any further.

"Not so, little girl. I'm not the Senior Feng you know as East Wind. This is the first time we have met, but may have heard my name in the Valley of the Poison Heart. My name is She Yutian."

Yao Han was anxious himself with Xu Yin who spoke disrespectfully to his teacher, but he restrained himself because the girl still did not clearly know about Yutian actually.

"Uncle Yutian?"

"You really are Uncle Yutian?! Uncle is still alive?!" Xu Yin's eyes widened, almost in disbelief at the shock she had gotten back then.

Yutian made a simple hand seal and flicked his hand, setting up a protective formation to prevent their conversation from sounding out.

"You'll believe more when you see this." Yutian touched Xu Yin's forehead which did not have time to dodge, sending quite a lot of memories into the girl's mind.

In his mind, Xu Yin looked at the picture of some events that Yutian had gone through. She Liu, Xu Lao, Xu Gang, even Liu Yin. Xu Yin also saw the memories of the fight between Yutian and Meirong, as well as when Yao Han was gathering together with his three teachers at a residence on the mountain peak.

Five minutes later, Yutian removed his index finger. The first thing Xu Yin immediately asked made Yutian laugh in amusement.

"Who's the beautiful red-robed woman I saw earlier?"

"If you've heard of the cause of the war twenty years ago, you should be able to guess who he is."

"I mean Uncle... The Fire Sword Goddess of the Sky Mountain Sect?" Yutian nodded confirming, "If Uncle is still alive, what about the Fire Sword Goddess?"

Yutian told her some things that Xu Yin needed to know in the meantime. At the end of the story, Xu Yin still could not accept her teacher uncle ending up being a spirit beast, but she was grateful that Yutian was still alive. Yutian was the second person after his mother that Xu Yin expected him to see directly without going through the jade slip.

"You inherited eye color and grew into a pretty girl like your mother." Yutian chuckled lightly rubbing Xu Yin's purplish green hair.

The girl's cheeks blushed, "Uncle was too complimentary. Uh, I almost forgot." Hurry Xu Yin prostrated herself in front of Yutian, "Xu Yin saluted Uncle Yutian."

Yutian chuckled then asked Xu Yin to get up, "Thank you for your respect, but next time there's no need to be formal."

"Good, Uncle. But I was curious...why didn't the Fire Sword Goddess appear with Uncle?"

Yutian did not reply, but turned to look at Yao Han who had been silent.

Note:

Yutian with Xu Gang and Liu Yin did not raise each other as brothers. Yutian was actually a senior directly from Liu Yin. So the son of Xu Gang and the late Liu Yin (Xu Yang and Xu Yin) could be referred to as Yutian's 'nephew. The same was true of Yutian's position in addition to being She Liu's direct disciple, as well as Xu Lao's 'niece', since Xu Lao was She Liu's senior.
