Mortal To Immortal (Book 1)

Mortal To Immortal (Book 1)
MTI 005 - The Helper

Yao Han was already in a sitting position while noticing the figure of the owner of the heavy voice that shocked him. A man who seemed to be in his mid-thirties.

His body was strapping, wearing white clothes with some black stripes. His long hair was black, as were his sharp eyebrows, his thin mustache and his short beard.

His face was firm, his eyes were sharp, and his manners were dignified. The strange aura emanating from the figure of the man made Yao Han intimidated.

"Did I scare you? Relax, I don't intend to hurt you."

Yao Han only realized that the man was carrying a large tray on which there were many dishes. Without being prevented, Yao Han's stomach rang out quite loudly.

"You'd better fill your stomach first, then we'll talk." The man placed the tray before Yao Han. The boy looked confused, as the man brought him food as if he knew he was going to wake up.

"Can't you talk? You just kept quiet." The man's voice seemed flat as he asked.

Yao Han then regained his senses, cleared his throat softly before replying, "Sorry Uncle if I'm being disrespectful. Did you bring me here?" Yao Han's voice was soft and slightly hoarse.

The man raised his eyebrows and laughed, "Uncle? This is the first time anyone has called me that..."

"If you don't like it, what if I call you by your call?"

The man chuckled, "I am not your master, there is no need to call me Master. You can use Uncle's call on me."

"Good, Uncle. My name is Yao Han, may I know Uncle's name?

The man was a little astonished because Yao Han introduced himself first without being asked, "My name is Feng Xian. And it's true I brought you here. Don't talk anymore, eat first."

Feng Xian sat on a chair, not far from him. Yao Han felt a little awkward, then started eating the dishes that Feng Xian had brought. There are vegetables, fruits, and the most tempting are pieces of roast meat that emit a delicious aroma.

Yao Han ate quite voraciously, as his stomach was extremely hungry. Never had he been this hungry and already had some dishes he had spent.

"No need to rush. You can choke and your stomach will also have trouble digesting food. If this food isn't enough, there's still so much food I can give."

Yao Han grimaced in embarrassment, actually the food that this Feng Xian gave him included a lot to be able to eat in a short period of time.

Yao Han resumed eating. She focused on her little activities because Feng Xian was staring at her, making her uneasy.

"Uncle, is there anything you want to ask?"

"Yes, there are some things that make me curious, but you can answer them later. Focus on your food, we'll talk later. If you're looking for me, I'm outside the house."

Feng Xian left Yao Han puzzled with his strange demeanor. Without thinking any further, Yao Han continued to fill his stomach.

In less than half an hour, Yao Han managed to finish off all of the food. Her stomach is slightly swollen.

"Ah, what a pleasure..." Yao Han leaned against the wall of the room while stroking his stomach. This was the first time Yao Han had eaten such a good meal, as he usually ate a simple meal.

After some time, Yao Han only felt a difference in his body. His strength recovered, but it was much stronger than he remembered.

"Eh, what is this?"

Amidst his confusion, something flashed through Yao Han's mind, a memory of his encounter with the all-white man, Bai Tian. He pondered for a long time and then took a deep breath.

Yao Han smiled widely knowing the dark brown-colored thing that was on his wrist. A bracelet whose original color was a uniquely golden engraved jade green, the space bracelet Bai Tian had given.

"Hm, if according to Uncle Bai I am now far away from home. This Uncle Feng's house.. Where are you, huh?" yao Han muttered while observing the contents of the room he was in.

There were not many items, so the room looked very simple. Faintly, Yao Han smelled a scent from the outside of the room.

"Drug aroma... This Uncle Feng seems to be a healer." Yao Han tried to guess.

After feeling quite fit, Yao Han got off the bed. He was shocked at his body while trying to stretch his muscles.

"Uh, how long have I been unconscious? Why does my body feel so stiff?"

Yao Han thought at least he was unconscious for only a few hours, as his meeting with Bai Tian was only a short while.

After feeling enough, he decided to go out to look for Feng Xian. The contents of the house were also not much, but neatly arranged. Yao Han briefly paused in front of a room as he smelled a strong medicinal scent as he passed by.

Upon reaching the main door, Yao Han was shocked. His eyes widened, as well as his mouth when he saw the scene in front of him.

In front of Yao Han's house was a large pond. Above the pond was a slightly curved wooden bridge connected to the front porch of Feng Xian's house.

Yao Han took a closer look. The pond looked clear, containing many multicolored lotus flowers and koi fish swimming leisurely. There was also a rainbow-colored butterfly that strangely exuded a powerful aura.

The pool was bounded by black rocks quite large and almost the same size as each other. The courtyard around the pond looked beautiful and grew a green expanse of grass with a wide variety of plants that Yao Han had never seen.

Beside Feng Xian's mansion was a smaller and simpler building. On the opposite side, there was a large garden. The plants in the garden give off a strong pleasant aroma.

Too late admiring the beauty surrounding Feng Xian's house, Yao Han forgot his main purpose, until a voice resuscitated him.

"That-the! Comehere!"

Yao Han discovered Feng Xian was tens of meters away from him, sitting on a stone chair. There was also a round stone table and another empty stone chair. Yao Han walked over quite quickly, but slowed down when he realized that there were two different colored animals on the stone table.

"Why are you standing there still? Come here, sit with me." Feng Xian knew the direction Yao Han was looking at but gave no response. Feng Xian himself was painting. His painting canvas had only finished a third.

Yao Han sat down slowly with his eyes observing the two animals on the stone table. One was a beautiful red bird with five quite long tails. Another one was a jade-green scaly snake with long grey stripes on both sides of its body.

"Uncle Feng, where are we now? The scenery here is very beautiful," Yao Han praised.

"We are currently at the top of a mountain in the middle of an island called Moon Star Island."
