Mortal To Immortal (Book 1)
MTI 031 - Not Enough

One of the things Yao Han learned from Yutian was the Body Forging Technique, which served to strengthen the physique, be it bones, skin, muscles, and internal organs. To learn this technique, it requires a spirit root containing earth and metal elements or one of the two.

Two of the five pure spirit roots that Yao Han possessed were earth and metal elements respectively. Without learning any of these physical strengthening techniques, Yao Han would have even greater physical strength as his practice improved.

The pure spirit root of the earth element made Yao Han's flesh and muscles become stronger, thus increasing his defense. While the pure spirit root of the metal element made Yao Han's bones become stronger.

In general, without having to learn physical strengthening techniques and not having spirit roots containing earth or metal elements, every cultivator would experience an increase in physical strength since entering the tenth level of the Basic Realm.

The advantage of this technique is that the person who learns it will have a greater physical strength several times over than the one who does not, as long as the difference in practice is not too far away.

The merging of physical strength and cultivation practice would result in two to three times the stronger attack power.

The weakness is that the process of forging the body is very painful. The amount of Qi required was also large, much greater than the amount of Qi required to improve the practice.

Not a few cultivators were unwilling to learn physical strengthening techniques because of this weakness. Usually the one who studies it because of innate talent or to cover up his weaknesses in practice.

Despite being told the weakness of this technique, Yao Han still asked Yutian to teach him. It would take a long time to master this technique that Yutian possessed to its peak and could disrupt the speed of improving his practice.

Feng Xian and Meirong had also once reminded, but did not try to stop because knowing Yao Han was the kind of person who liked to learn many things.

Yutian was finally willing to teach this technique because of two things. First, two of Yao Han's five spirit roots were earth and metal elements. Second, the practice manual used allowed Yao Han to accumulate a lot of Qi in a short period of time.

The Body Forging Technique that Yutian had learned the past few hundred years included a high-level technique, named the Nine Forging Gate which consisted of nine stages. The beginning of Yutian learning this technique was when both of his pure spirit roots were in the tenth level of the Basic Realm.

Yao Han started to learn this technique when his three pure spirit roots were at the ninth level of the Basic Realm and finally understood how terrifying the amount of Qi collected was just to complete one percent of the first stage.

However, it was no mean matter to him and as his three teachers suggested, Yao Han did not make this technique a major practice in practice.

Uniquely, the lightning strike which as a sign of the active eyes and special body of Yao Han also helped in the process of increasing Yao Han's achievements in the Body Forging Technique.

When Yutian checked back, it turned out that Yao Han's settlement in the first stage reached five percent, whereas previously it had only reached four percent.

At first, Yutian thought it was a coincidence. However, a few months after, the same lightning also struck back Yao Han as he completed ten percent of his Body Forging Technique.

It happened repeatedly every five percent completion and made the three Yao Han masters accustomed. The lightning not only increased the successful completion rate of the Body Forging Technique, but it also helped to increase the distance of the translucent eyesight in particular.

Sometimes Yao Han gained an increase of one or two percent for the forging of his body and an additional distance of several meters for see-through vision.

Five years had passed since Yao Han started life as a cultivator and stayed with his three teachers. Now Yao Han was fifteen years old and all five of his spirit roots were in the Twelfth level of the Basic Realm.

Raising the practice from the first level of the Basic Realm to the twelfth level within five years was incredible, moreover he had five pure spirit roots at once plus a body forging exercise.

An achievement that had never been carved by the best disciple of even the greatest sect and Yao Han became the first in the history of the cultivation world of the Blue Moon Continent.

Yao Han's Qi capacity offset the Qi of late stage Earth Foundation cultivators. In terms of the purity of Qi, no cultivator of any Basic Realm could rival him, not even a Foundation realm cultivator, because lightning strikes made his Qi even purer.

Meirong's practice had already reached the peak stage Sky Foundation, whereas Yutian who had two pure spirit roots needed more Qi and his practice had slightly entered the peak stage Sky Foundation.

From birth, Yao Han had never left Flower Hill City to see the vast world. Living on Star Moon Island was also due to the fate that was tied to him. However, Yao Han's knowledge of the Blue Moon Continent was fairly good, having heard many stories from his three teachers.

Feeling enough with the strength and ability he possessed to protect himself, Yao Han intended to leave the island to wander. His first destination was Bukit Bunga City, his hometown.

There was nothing important he wanted to do there. He only wanted to see the condition of the city and its inhabitants, as well as the house that Grandma Yue had passed on to him after five years of not being occupied.

"Let's wait two more years, and I'll let you go."

That was Feng Xian's reply when Yao Han asked for his permission. That answer broke Yao Han's spirit, as he was confident of obtaining permission easily. Feng Xian felt Yao Han was still not strong enough, even though his practice was already very high for a child his age.

A very unreasonable reason according to Meirong and Yutian, was because if Yao Han was a disciple of a sect, he was more than enough to go on missions or go wandering around just looking for experience.

"You need to recall that Xiao Han is not a sect disciple."

A row of sentences followed by a cynical look from Feng Xian made Meirong and Yutian silent, no longer daring to refute. Given Feng Xian was much more senior and his position as Yao Han's first teacher.

Yao Han almost always obeyed what his three teachers said, but not this time. Not that he wanted to rebel, so he tried a different approach. Yao Han seduced subtly using the series of words he learned from Yutian.

No matter how many times Yao Han appealed, Feng Xian remained unanimous with his decision. Feng Xian realized that his rejection was excessive, so he made some compensation in the form of some offers that Yao Han was difficult to refuse.

Over the next two years, Feng Xian would direct and teach Yao Han some knowledge, just like Meirong and Yutian had done these past five years.
