Mortal To Immortal (Book 1)

Mortal To Immortal (Book 1)
MTI 142 - Nearly Fainted

Yao Han's wooden house contained four empty rooms, two of which were filled. One room was occupied by Xu Yang and Xu Yin, another room was occupied by seven members of the Purple Star Sect.

A little strange indeed, middle sect members like them were willing to be asked to wait by someone unknown, even though this someone had previously come to help deal with the dozens of half-stealthy humans surrounding them.

But the adult man among them had a slightly clearer thought, because Yao Han whose appearance suddenly showed a high ability for him. This man was named Zi Dan, one of the elders that belonged to the Purple Star Sect and was of peak stage Earth Foundation power.

For a middle sect like the Purple Star Sect, a cultivator like Zi Dan became one of the important pedestals and held quite a high position, as well as having considerable influence in the sect.

At first he had thought Yao Han was one of the members of the Northern Ice Fortress who was traveling because it showed one of the ice element magic which he thought was high level, but after seeing Yao Han make a wooden house out of rare wood element magic, made him rethink.

Within the room, Zi Dan was silent while second-guessing Yao Han's identity and background. While the six disciples who were with him were sitting restlessly while discussing about Yao Han.

'Can I master both ice element magic as well as wood element magic simultaneously..I have never heard of any cultivator like that young boy? Or perhaps...he was an undercover senior cultivator? But where did he come from?' Zi Dan felt his head ache thinking that.

Another thing that made Zi Dan a little curious was Yao Han's practice. He read his practice of being in the ninth level of the Basic Realm, but after seeing the two magic Yao Han showed, Zi Dan doubted the Yao Han practice he had read, but after seeing the two magic spells, Zi Dan doubted the Yao Han practice he had read about, making him a little more certain Yao Han was a senior cultivator in disguise.

Not yet the appearance of Yao Han after such a long wait, made Zi Dan and the six disciples who were with him become restless. While Zi Dan was still trying to be patient waiting, one of the disciples suggested that they leave quietly.

Zi Dan reprimanded the disciple because his suggestion could make Yao Han who could be from a higher background than them become offended. After all they should have thanked him after Yao Han's help and there had been no urgent need to return to the sect.

Not long after, Yao Han appeared while smiling awkwardly. Zi Dan had just taken a closer look, it turned out that the aura around Yao Han made him quite intimidated, whereas Yao Han had done nothing.

"Sorry to keep you waiting for a long time. My traveling companion's condition is much worse than I've heard. It was fortunate that he was able to get through his critical period."

Yao Han's remark made Zi Dan think of some things, but a little hesitant he asked, then asked another thing.

"Young brother, what exactly happened to that young man? Is he really your friend's brother?" Zi Dan hesitated a little this was a mere coincidence.

"really. My friend said she was looking for her brother who ran away from the sect, even though his condition was bad. But thank goodness the sky still has mercy to bring us together. If it had been a day, his life would have been lost."

Zi Dan did know a little about Xu Yang's condition, the young man was injured as well as poisoned. Zi Dan also relayed they 'meet' with Xu Yang on the way back to the sect. Xu Yang's condition at that time was already severely injured from dealing with dozens of half-demon humans.

'Brother Xu's fate was unlucky and lucky at about the same time...' Yao Han nodded then let out a long sigh.

Yao Han's estimation, Xu Yang's condition worsened because he had to deal with dozens of half-stealthy humans and use a high level of poison that shouldn't be used. Another possibility was Xu Yang's already deteriorating condition before dealing with that half-demon human.

Not only were the higher-ups of the Poison Heart Valley, Yao Han was not even thought out with the contents of Xu Yang's head. Desperate to study the Sky Poison Book was one thing, but recklessly leaving the sect alone was another, even suicidal. Yao Han might be seen leaving alone, but there were Dimensional Pagoda residents who were together and guarding him.

"Young brother, did you say your friend was from a sect? Which sect do you mean?" Zi Dan had a bad premonition after knowing Xu Yang, the young man who was trying to help them from the siege of dozens of half-stealthy humans came from the sect.

"Oh, they are from the Valley of the Poison Heart."

Yao Han replied casually without any burden, while the seven people in front of him breathed in shock.

"Toxic Heart Valley?!"

Zi Dan's countenance faded, while the other six had already nearly fainted just hearing the sect's name. Now Zi Dan understood the uneasiness of the six disciples who were with him and should have agreed to leave secretly. They had just dealt with one of the biggest sects of the black stream.

"You.. you..." Zi Dan pointed at Yao Han timidly, "You're from the Poison Heart Valley as well?"

Yao Han was a little surprised by their reaction, but he immediately cursed at her. The name of the Poison Heart Valley was indeed frightening to middle sect members like them.

Other than crossing the stream, the difference in strength between the two sects made them so frightened. Just a little mispronounced could make the Purple Star Sect flat into land and live history.

"Relax, Senior Zi, I am not from the Poison Heart Valley. I am a free cultivator, neither originating nor bound by any sect. If senior is worried that we'll do you bad, it won't happen, I can guarantee it."

Zi Dan gulped nervously, fear making his brain unable to think clearly. Either Yao Han was telling the truth or not.

"I met my friend by accident, as well as my friend's sister. And seniors would be even more surprised if I said they were both children of the Poison Heart Valley Patriarch." Yao Han chuckled.

It seemed like Yao Han had to practice when he should joke or not because his words just made Zi Dan and the others barely faint. Meeting an ordinary member of the Poison Heart Valley alone was already a problem, let alone the son of a Patriarch.

"Seniors and brethren need not fear the Valley of the Poison Heart. Aren't you trying to help one of their members? If they're looking for trouble with you, I'll come face to face with them."

Zi Dan almost cursed with Yao Han's speech that was so light. On the other hand he had forgotten to dig up information about Yao Han's identity.
