Mortal To Immortal (Book 1)

Mortal To Immortal (Book 1)
MTI 46 - Restaurant Cultivator

Not long after Yao Han left his room, there was a woman who looked to be in her forties approaching him.

He introduced himself as Manager Luan, the manager of the Fire Star Inn of the Moonlight City branch. Manager Luan felt that Yao Han was indeed not an ordinary person because not everyone could or dared to rent a room in the inn because it was quite expensive.

People in general prefer the cheapest rooms and stay less than three days, but Yao Han can rent medium quality rooms for five days.

This showed Yao Han had a strong background, regardless of his extremely young-looking appearance. Seeing Yao Han directly by hearing the information from the reception girl was indeed different.

"If there's anything I can help you with, Young Master can say it."

"Manager Luan is too shy." Yao Han smiled faintly. He was not used to being treated so courteously by people older his age than him, "Oh, Manager Luan, I heard there is a Cultivator-only restaurant in this city, can you show him his direction to me?"

Manager Luan pensively for a moment. As Meirong had guessed, Manager Luan said the restaurant Yao Han was referring to was called Nagarasa Restaurant, located quite far away from the inn as it was closer to the city gate.

Yao Han thanked him after getting a hint of where he should walk towards the restaurant.

Manager Luan looked at Yao Han who was getting further away in confusion. He thought Yao Han was a newcomer, but had Yao Han entered the city through the city gate, he should have known the location of the restaurant.

"Where did this Young Master come from?"

***

Yao Han was not in a hurry towards the restaurant, so he walked leisurely while observing the surrounding scenery. While passing through the Jade Treasure Shop, Yao Han paused for a moment.

"My feeling or is the store more crowded than it was yesterday?" his mutter saw the atmosphere of the Jade Treasure Shop in the morning.

"They definitely announced about the sale of pills of higher quality than usual. So people are scrambling to get it."

Meirong's opinion gave another meaning that the customers who came to the Jade Treasure Shop that morning bought pills made by Yao Han.

After observing for a moment, Yao Han continued on his way, then a short while later, Yao Han arrived in front of the building consisting of five floors. From the building there is a mouth-watering delicious aroma that arouses taste.

"Hmm. only this time I smell this good," Yao Han murmured.

There were four guards at the entrance. Two on the right two on the left of the door. The four powers of the Mortal Foundation peak stage.

The four guards briefly looked at Yao Han as he walked in, while Yao Han did not care about them, he rather imagined the taste of every meal in this restaurant.

Just a few steps into the restaurant building, Yao Han was approached by a servant girl.

"Welcome, Young Master. Is there anything I can help you with?"

"Are there any rules for eating here?"

Learning from the two previous experiences in the shop and inn, Yao Han concluded that the restaurant had special rules, because looking in front of the building there were guards and this restaurant was a cultivator-only restaurant.

The girl immediately understood Yao Han was a new customer and first ate at Nagarasa Restaurant. He explained this restaurant provides a menu and the price is different every floor. The price will be more expensive along with the height of the floor chosen.

Nagarasa restaurant only accepts spirit stones as payment, or it could be pills at the same selling price.

Yao Han wanted to choose directly to the fifth floor, after all he had many spirit stones. However, in order not to attract unnecessary attention, Yao Han undoes his intentions.

Looking at the first floor which was quite a lot of people, Yao Han chose to eat on the second floor. There, half the table was already filled and the servant girl escorted Yao Han to the table beside one of the windows.

People briefly noticed Yao Han for a moment before turning their attention.

It didn't take long for Yao Han to choose three kinds of menus that caught his eye.

"Please, Young Master waited for a moment. While waiting, Young Master can taste the wine we provide." The servant girl pointed towards the urn on the table.

Yao Han nodded slowly while covering his awkward smile.

'Arak, yes...'

Yao Han then recalled that Feng Xian had once wanted himself to also make wine for him other than the Silver Grass Tea.

'Maybe in the Jade Treasure Shop there is information on how to make wine." Yao Han thought of going to that shop again.

Yao Han asked Nagarasa Restaurant's background further to his two teachers.

"This culinary enterprise was founded by the sect of the same name, the Nagarasa Sect..."

As Meirong recalled, this sect belonged to a seven-star great sect that was on the verge of rising in level. If there had been no meaningful problems for the past twenty years, it should have been an eight-star great sect.

"There are some restaurants that also sell special dishes for cultivators, but still outnumbered these restaurants." Yutian added.

The chefs working in this restaurant were not ordinary cooks, they were also cultivators referred to as Cultivator Chefs. Each person is equipped with special knowledge so that they are sensitive to basic food ingredients, namely magic plants, demons, and sometimes spirit animals.

"Hm, interesting. At first glance it looks like an Alchemist, yes..." Yao Han stroked his chin.

"More or less like that."

Before long, a different servant girl brought Yao Han's order, "Young Master, please enjoy."

Yao Han nodded slowly. After the waiter left, Yao Han inhaled the scent of food deeply, before starting to eat it. The first to be targeted by Yao Han was seafood, which was the crab.

One mouthful left Yao Han speechless for quite a while, "Enak once."

Yao Han ate voraciously, every few times the mouthful he stopped to close his eyes, trying to live the taste of food with wisdom.

Yao Han held back happy tears because of that good taste. It felt very much different from the roasted stealth meat he used to eat on the Moon Star Island because it was only seasoned.

"Han'er was enjoying the food too much to forget to offer us," muttered Yutian quietly.

Meirong clucked softly, "Let it go. Are you hungry? You're pathetic."

Yutian refrained from refuting Meirong's remarks.

The few maids who saw how to eat Yao Han chuckled. Yao Han's reaction was common to the person who first ate at the restaurant.

"This is heaven..."

Yao Han stroked his stomach after he finished eating. Despite only eating three kinds of dishes, Yao Han felt very full due to the taste factor he had never tasted before.

Yao Han called the waiter to order the same menu.

"Han'er, aren't you enough?"
