Mortal To Immortal (Book 1)
Ep. 63 - More Familiar

"Brother Yao, did you master wood element magic?" Honghao first regained his senses from his shock.

"Hm, yes. Is something wrong?" Yao Han looked puzzled by the reaction of the two young men in front of him.

"Eh, you didn't notice? Wood element magic like you pointed out is extremely rare, as it is generally only for healing."

Hearing that, Yao Han reacted casually, "I thought what was up, it turned out to be that."

Shenghao and Honghao felt that something was wrong with the contents of Yao Han's head. They thought maybe because Yao Han was a disciple of the East Wind figure who was so famous, that he seemed ordinary with what others considered to be something extraordinary.

Meirong and Yutian who heard the small conversation of the three just chuckled. The two of them were not surprised by Yao Han's casual attitude.

"You are not only talented, but also great at mastering rare wood element magic. I can't believe Senior East Wind mastered this one magic. You're really lucky, Brother Yao." Honghao clucked in admiration, so did Shenghao.

Yao Han realized Shenghao and Honghao were misunderstanding, so he tried to straighten out and unlock a little of his secrets.

"I don't know how much wood element magic my teacher mastered, but it wasn't from him that I learned this magic."

"If not from Senior Feng, then who did you learn from, Brother Yao?" Shenghao and Honghao did not think of anyone else's name at all because learning from Feng Xian the East Wind had already become extraordinary.

"Simply put, I taught myself of the legacy Senior Chen left behind."

Shenghao and Honghao both frowned, "Who is Senior Chen?"

"Eh, you don't know him, yeah... His full name is Chen Long, one of the Four Paths, the Southern Dragon."

"South Dragon?!" Shenghao and Honghao let out a soft cry. The second eyes widened while staring at Yao Han like looking at a hundred year old demon.

"You also learned from him, Brother Yao?! It means that Senior Southern Dragon has finally reappeared after a hundred years of disappearing?!" Honghao asked with hunting breath. He was much more surprised than when he first learned Yao Han was a Feng Xian disciple.

Yao Han shook his head slowly. To his surprise, Honghao did not pay much attention to Yao Han's words earlier. Yao Han patiently explained that Feng Xian gave Chen Long's legacy as a collection of wood elemental magic and studied it himself without his teacher's guidance.

"Hm, so it looks." Shenghao muttered in understanding, he looked calmer than Honghao who was still a little confused and surprised, "I'm almost hanging if you really meet and learn from Senior Southern Dragon."

"It's been an open secret that he hasn't been seen for over a hundred years, but I hope that on my way out the Moon Star Island I can meet him or the other two seniors so that I can learn from them."

Shenghao coughed at Yao Han's carefree explanation.

"If it's someone else speaking, it can only be considered a joke. Yet you are different because of your unusual background, Brother Yao."

For some cultivators, being able to see or meet directly with one of the Four Guards was a boon. Being able to learn one or two things from one of them is good luck. Being a disciple of one of them was incredible and Yao Han obtained all three of them.

"Now I trust you completely, you love learning things. It is not enough to be a disciple of Senior Feng, you also want to learn from the other three Four Conferred Elders? Is your teacher not upset to know this?"

"That's why don't you get caught." Yao Han chuckled, covering up the truth. It was Feng Xian who encouraged himself to learn from the other Four Conferred Knights, "Too far to think about whether I could learn from them or not because of their existence alone no one knew until now."

Honghao grimaced as he rubbed his left rib that Shenghao had just elbowed. He looked at his senior slightly glaring at him, making Honghao slightly shudder in fear.

"You are this.. You know not your request is so disrespectful? Don't be so presumptuous." Shenghao whispered but placed emphasis on each of his words and Yao Han could still hear what he was saying.

Shenghao might not have reacted so if the person was not Yao Han. He was worried Yao Han was offended.

Unlike what Shenghao thought, Yao Han was not offended at all, he instead discussed with his two teachers.

"My teacher didn't say I shouldn't teach this magic to others. However, I can only give you at most ten types of wood elemental magic, Brother Honghao."

"Oh, no problem. That's more than enough for me." Honghao smiled widely, not trying to cover up his enthusiasm.

Shenghao restrained himself from reprimanding his junior brother once more, on the other hand he was also happy that Honghao had gained new knowledge, let alone coming from a figure like Yao Han.

Upon hearing that Feng Xian the East Wind had disciples, Shenghao initially thought Yao Han would be just like his teacher, especially in terms of nature.

Regardless of his background, it turned out that Shenghao and Honghao were surprised that Yao Han was the opposite of the teacher whose nature was widely known.

Perhaps because of that, Shenghao and Honghao became quickly familiar with Yao Han with his friendly and relaxed mannerism. They both became more open about themselves.

Of the two, Yao Han knew their fate was not much different from her, not knowing who their parents were.

Not just the two of them, but almost a quarter to a third of the young members of the White Lotus Sect were orphans or used to be babies who seemed to be deliberately 'dumped' into the White Lotus Sect.

At night, Yao Han played the flute as a form of entertainment for the three as well as the residents of the city.

Shenghao had almost forgotten about Yao Han's unique ability this one and once again he was amazed as Yao Han was deep in Dao Music. Shenghao did not know how difficult Dao Music was, but deepening the many types of Dao was definitely not an easy matter.

Upon learning Yao Han learned the Dao of Music from Feng Xian, Shenghao and Honghao were taken aback. Something that they had completely unthinkable towards the number one alchemist figure in the Blue Moon Continent.

After being satisfied to play the flute, Yao Han took out a small pouch. As an alchemist, Honghao instantly recognized the plants inside and was casually eaten by Yao Han.

Honeygrass was neither a rare nor an expensive magic plant, but Honghao was the first to make it as a snack in his spare time as Yao Han did. In less than a day, Shenghao and Honghao received some shock from Yao Han.

"Brother Yao, has your teacher never commented on this unique habit of yours?" Honghao couldn't help but ask.

"Once again, he even called me a lunatic because of this." Yao Han actually laughed out loud as he held onto his stomach, making Shenghao and Honghao smile awkwardly.

"Do you guys want to? I still have a lot." Yao Han offered honey grass.

Shenghao and Honghao compactly replied, "No, thank you."
