Mortal To Immortal (Book 1)

Mortal To Immortal (Book 1)
MTI 138 - Mood

Mo Shin and his men who were troublemakers at the marriage of Chu Fu and Jia Lin were already taken care of by the local security forces. It didn't take long for news of the chaos at the wedding to be heard all over Green Dewun City.

Yao Han no longer thought about or wanted to take care of them any further after crippling them by destroying their Dantian and practice abilities. Yao Han was still kind enough not to kill them by giving the Healing Serum.

According to him, it was better for them to be rewarded by the punishment in force in the city, even though it turned out that Mo Shin and his group members were from a neighboring city not far from Green Dew City.

Yao Han still had a dependant, which was to overcome the Rainbow Poison lodged within Chu Fang's body. From Chu Zi's explanation, the first child was injured and poisoned for protecting Chu Lun who had almost been used as a hostage tool.

Actually Chu Fang was still quite lucky after being exposed to the Rainbow Poison. Because he was a cultivator, his Qi protected the internal organs of his body even though it did not help much.

Even Core realm cultivators took three months to expel this ferocious poison in its entirety. While ordinary humans were exposed to this poison, it would be crushed into a pulp in less than five minutes.

The pill that Yao Han had given him earlier could only suppress the spread and ferocity of the poison for a while, for at least a month. In order to eliminate the entire poison, Yao Han needed to use the Poison God Technique.

However unlike before, Yao Han wanted to treat the Chu family members in a sealed room, there was only himself and Chu Fang. Yao Han even balked as Xu Yin forced her to come watch the treatment process.

In exchange for the girl not getting any more annoyed at him, Yao Han gave Xu Yin a poisonous dagger that was a high-level Mortal Heirloom that she had snatched from Mo Shin. The other treasure he had seized was a glass bottle containing a third of the liquid of the Rainbow Poison.

After closing the door of the room and locking it, the Dimensional Pagoda occupants came out to accompany Yao Han and set up a protective formation. Yutian turned into a one meter long jade snake, intending to help Yao Han.

Despite Yao Han's good mastery of the Poison God Technique and possessing the Nine Star Body, Yao Han still had not perfectly overcome a vicious poison of the level of the Rainbow Poison, so he still needed Yutian's help.

"Han'er, I'll take seventy percent of the poison in his body, the rest I leave to you."

"Good, Teacher."

Yutian bit into Chu Fang's right wrist and began to absorb the poison into his body. As the former Poison Gate, even though he was a jade snake, Yutian could absorb or release poison through his bite.

Less than five minutes later, Yutian released his bite. Yao Han took over the treatment. He did the same with Yutian, absorbing poison into his body.

The absorption of poison by Yao Han was a little longer, as he did not possess a pure spirit root of a poison element like Yutian or the Thousand Poison Body like Xu Yin.

If Yutian were to use the Rainbow Poison to improve the practice, Yao Han would later use it to strengthen his Nine Star Body in order to compensate for the excess of the Thousand Poison Body.

After successfully absorbing and converting the composition of the poison into Qi which forged his body, Yao Han felt a significant increase in strength. No wonder the Rainbow Poison included the ten most ferocious poisons from the Poison Heart Valley.

The unfortunate thing Yao Han was Mo Shin who could not be invited to work together to tell where he got the poison from. If Mo Shin got it naturally from the Rainbow Tail Scorpion in his nest, then it was much better.

The reason was one, this one poisonous demon was related to the existence of the Rainbow Soul Orchid Flower. If Yao Han managed to have the hints of the Rainbow Tail Scorpion nest, then there was a chance that he could find this magic plant to help Tian Jian form his physical body.

However Yao Han was not too disappointed, as both Bing Lizi, Tian Jian, Meirong and even Yutian had only once found the Rainbow Tail Scorpion nest once. Meirong had also once obtained the Rainbow Soul Orchid Flower, but it was already over two hundred years ago.

The Rainbow Poison within Chu Fang's body had already disappeared completely, Yao Han was draining the wood elemental Qi that contained life energy, which was, aided Meirong who threw the Phoenix Flame that enveloped Chu Fang's entire body and accelerated the recovery process.

"Tabby Yao..." Chu Fang made a soft voice, noticing Yao Han's presence beside him.

Yao Han smiled faintly, "Thank God, you're already conscious. I'll tell the others."

***

As there were no other interests left to be resolved in Chu Zi's house, Yao Han decided to immediately continue the journey with Xu Yin, without wanting to join Chu Fu and the Jia family's funeral.

Yao Han just said that he was in mourning for the calamity that befell them and nothing more. Chu Zi still knew himself to give the gift, which Yao Han originally wanted to refuse because it was unethical, but Yutian suggested to accept it.

"Thank you for the help you gave us, Physician Yao. We won't forget it."

Yao Han wanted to respond, but there was nothing to say. He closed his mouth again, then gave a faint smile, a slow nod, and cupped his hands respectfully as a farewell greeting.

To be honest, Yao Han's feelings were a little bad after dealing with Mo Shin and his group, especially after hearing the story behind their revenge-based attack. Whether he was aware of it or not, Yao Han's good judgment towards the Chu family slowly faded.

After leaving Green Dew City, Xu Yin put back his iron mask. The beautiful girl wanted to invite Yao Han over to talk to drive away the boredom, but seeing Yao Han's look on the face that seemed to be unable to talk to, Xu Yin undoed her intentions and kept quiet during the trip.

Yao Han briefly glanced towards a large, shady tree, planning to take a break by meditating below, but along with that came a telepathic message from Meirong.

"Han'er, go towards the south, there is a group of cultivators surrounded by dozens of half-stealthy humans."

Through the vision of the Heavenly Senses, Meirong learned they were members of a sect because they wore similar uniforms. And if he had not mistakenly remembered, the uniform was like the one used by the members of the Purple Star Sect.

Directly Yao Han darted towards the direction in question as the Purple Star Sect was the shelter of Hua Feng, the son of the leader of the Flower Hill City, Hua Ren. His actions made Xu Yin cluck in annoyance and swore.

"Once again he just left me! What's wrong with his mind, anyway?!"
