Mortal To Immortal (Book 1)
Ep. 87 - Ape Joke

In the main hall of the White Lotus Sect, gathered four adults with extraordinary strength. They were Wu Bai the Earth Pillar as well as the Great White Lotus Sect along with his three direct disciples.

"So..is the time near?" Wu Bai made a soft voice but it sounded so clear in the ears of his three disciples.

"Yes, Mahaguru. The Jade Treasure Tower had also sent out invitation letters to all ten-star white sects and prepared all the necessities for this meeting." Wu Yi the Steel Dragon replied representing his two younger brothers.

Wu Bai took a deep breath and nodded softly, "So so..." Wu Bai glanced at Wu San, "What do you think of the meeting this time?"

"While the disciple had no premonition whatsoever, Mahaguru. However, the disciple was a little worried since the meeting this time was different than before."

Wu san's words made his two brothers turn towards him, then Wu Yi opened his voice again, "Mahaguru, if third sister says so, should we not send representatives at this meeting?"

Wu Bai smiled faintly, "That will make other sects suspicious and that will especially make our sect's name no good in the eyes of other white-flow sects."

"Seeks a hint from Mahaguru." Wu Er who was silent from earlier finally opened his voice.

Wu Bai was silent for a moment while closing his eyes. His three students waited for the decision he made.

"This meeting was different from the previous one. Tell you what, in order to prevent San'er's worries from happening, we'll send more escorts to our representatives at this meeting."

"Okay, Mahaguru." The three answered compactly.

"If so, it's time to pick them back up to prepare. San'er, I leave it to you."

"Murid is ready to carry out his duties." Wu San looked down respectfully.

"They must still be together with Senior Feng's disciple. Send him some presents you think you deserve."

"Okay, Mahaguru."

***

Three days passed after Yao Han and his friends were doing charity work in Flower Hill City, the condition of the townspeople changed drastically. Hua Ren could see the townspeople who for several years since the demon attack were moody and sad to be cheerful and excited again.

Hua Ren was a little disappointed knowing Yao Han would not stay for long in Flower Hill City. He still hoped that Yao Han would stay longer even settling in Flower Hill City within a period of a few years to restore the condition of the city to its original state.

With Yao Han's existence, Hua Ren felt it was not impossible for Flower Hill City to become more advanced in such a short period of time. He had also briefly thought of making Yao Han a successor mayor of himself in the future.

But Hua Ren had to undo his intentions because he understood Yao Han was not the same as he had been since becoming a cultivator. The young man would travel the world looking for more experience while increasing his strength.

Hua Ren had a premonition, Yao Han would become an influential cultivator at least in the Green Forest Country region. Yao Han would become the pride of Flower Hill City which was only a small town that was on the verge of being wiped out.

"Among the many places in this city, this is my favorite."

Yao Han took Shenghao and the others to a small river behind a small forest on the outskirts of Flower Hill City, where he used to be alone to meditate.

"For the size of a ten-year-old commoner, you're among those who dare to come here alone, Brother Yao." Honghao commented about Yao Han's childhood which was responded to with a soft laugh.

There were several things Yao Han realized around the place, including the small forest near the river getting busier and more wild animals. The small river there is also still clear and the flow is still quite swift.

Yao Han walked closer to where there used to be a large stone that he always used as a meditating seat that now no longer existed.

For a while, Yao Han dissolved into his childhood memories, until then came to a realization as he felt the presence of someone approaching towards them.

"Some are approaching." murmured Yao Han who heard the three people nearby. Shenghao and the others followed Yao Han's gaze in one direction in the sky.

"Can you see it, Brother Yao?" Shengho was reminded of the strength of Yao Han's Heavenly Eyes. Judging from Yao Han's reaction, Shenghao was certain that this person was not a bad person.

Yao Han nodded slowly and mentioned his physical features. Shenghao and Honghao were surprised then exclaimed simultaneously, "Third Master Uncle!"

The figure that was referred to as Third Uncle by Shenghao and Honghao started to enter within the visibility of the two. After their distance of only a few meters, this figure lowered his flying speed and floated down slowly.

It was Wu San, the Witty Ape, the third disciple of Wu Bai the Earth Pillar, who was also the fourth strongest cultivator in the entire White Lotus Sect. His head was shaved to a slippery bald spot, his cheeks were fat, and his body was fertile. If not for the robe he was wearing, people would have thought he was a monk who liked to eat a lot.

"Uncle Master..."

Shenghao and Honghao approached Wu San then gave their greetings.

"It's nice to see you guys are okay."

Wu San looked at the two best disciples of the White Lotus Sect proudly. It was hard to cover up his excitement seeing the development of those two disciples who had already nearly reached the fifteenth level Basic Realm not long after going wandering out of the sect.

Wu San's gaze was sidetracked as Yao Han walked over. The look on his face changed from happy to shocked to see Yao Han's figure. Haven't had time for him to put out words, Yao Han already greeted him first.

"Junior Yao Han greeted Senior Wu San. It was an honor to meet the third direct disciple of Mahaguru Wu Bai, the Wicked Ape as well as the best Talisman Cultivator of the White Lotus Sect." Yao Han cupped his hands while slightly bowing as a salute of respect.

Wu San was quite stunned by Yao Han's greeting until he was made to be silent for a moment then laughed softly.

"Don't hesitate, Young Brother. Honestly I was surprised to hear that Senior East Wind finally had a disciple. It's nice to meet you." Wu San returned Yao Han's greeting.

"Senior can call me Xiao Han like my teacher called me. Being called Young Brother feels too high for me who was a kid yesterday afternoon."

"Ah, how could that be, at least let me call you Little Brother, how?"

"No problem, it's better I guess."

Wu San laughed softly. He had to admit that meeting Yao Han in person was different compared to hearing Shenghao's explanation through the jade slip some time ago.

Wu San had met Feng Xian once and upon seeing Yao Han for the first time, the aura the young man had reminded Wu San of the figure of the East Wind. What he did not expect anymore, Yao Han's nature and attitude was much different than his teacher's.

Wu San had only not known Yao Han any further, as there were actually some moments that made Yao Han so similar to Feng Xian.

Yao Han also introduced Bolang as his traveling companion. There was nothing special that Wu San saw from the man other than his practice in the Core Realm. Yao Han had indeed intentionally not mentioned Bolang's true identity as the Night Wolf was slightly wary of Wu San's presence.

Wu San's arrival without notice was to pick Shenghao and Honghao back up to the sect. Without objection he also told Yao Han the reason why the two disciples had to return, which was to represent the White Lotus Sect in the meeting of the ten-star white sect's best disciples.

"I've heard of it... Meeting Young Cultivators, the ten-star sect tradition of the white stream since thousands of years ago..."
