Ep. 96 - The Sword of Heaven

Bing Lizi was just about to take Yao Han to her residence in the snowy area, but she was startled by the appearance of three spirit beasts on both the shoulders and the right side of the young man.

The man nicknamed Northern Ice was not too surprised to see the Night Wolf, but it was different when he saw the Phoenix and Jade Snake. Not only Bing Lizi, Yao Han was also surprised by the appearance of the three.

"Xiao Han, you're really good at having those two high-level spirit beasts." Bing Lizi clucked in awe let alone the two of the three spirit beasts that Yao Han possessed were at the late stage Golden Core Realm.

"Uncle Master Bing, who you see as the Phoenix and the Jade Snake are two of my teachers besides Master Feng. While the Wolf Tonight is my follower."

"Teacher?" Bing Lizi raised both eyebrows, "It's surprising you have Brother Feng as a teacher, but you also studied on these two spirit beasts?"

Yao Han wanted to answer but came to a halt as his teacher's two bodies emitted two different-colored lights. Meirong and Yutian revealed their human form making Bing Lizi stunned by the appearance of both.

"Junior Hong Meirong saluted Senior Bing."

"Junior She Yutian greeted Senior Bing."

"Hm? Hong Meirong's? Yutian She? You guys know me?" Bing Lizi was quite impressed the two called her Senior.

"Senior Bing may forget, but we've met several times before. Our last meeting was over a hundred years ago" Meirong said.

"Hm?" Bing Lizi stroked her chin while looking at Meirong's pretty face, trying to remember, "Ah, I remember. You are Hong Meirong, the Fire Sword Goddess of the Sky Mountain Sect as well as the prettiest woman of your generation, not even one has been able to match your beauty for five hundred years."

Hearing Bing Lizi's praise, Meirong lowered his head, "Senior is too complimentary."

Bing Lizi's gaze turned to Yutian, "You She Yutian? You surnamed She must have something to do with the Valley of the Poison Heart."

"Yes, Senior. Junior is one of Master She's direct disciples who is also known as the Snake Grandmother of the Poison Heart Valley."

"You mean She Liu? Formerly her nickname was the Snake Princess because she was once the most beautiful woman of her time, now she is called the Snake Grandmother? Hm, then, you should be the Poison Gate of She Yutian, the most handsome man of a generation with the Fire Sword Goddess..."

"It's an honor to get compliments from Senior Bing."

Yao Han slightly glanced at Yutian, 'Don't Master She always expect praise because of her good looks? Now why is he acting so awkwardly?'

Bing Lizi stared alternately at Yao Han, Meirong, Yutian, and Bolang several times before stopping at Yao Han.

"Xiao Han, what kind of luck do you have? Being Brother Feng's disciple was one thing, being a disciple of the Fire Sword Goddess and the Poison Gate of two opposing streams was another. Being a disciple of three streams at once. This was clearly a rare miracle."

"Uncle Master Bing, I have always been grateful to the heavens for having such great teachers." Yao Han smiled widely.

"Yes, yeah, yeah. You have to tell me a lot." One of the things Bing Lizi wanted to know was the reason Meirong and Yutian had another form as two high-level spirit beasts.

"No problem, Uncle Master Bing. But it takes a little while."

"Just relax, my free time is too much, so we're free to exchange stories." Bing Lizi laughed softly, "Let's come with me to my residence, here's not a convenient place to tell stories."

Together with his two teachers and Bolang, Yao Han followed in Bing Lizi's footsteps. On a leisurely journey towards Bing Lizi's residence that passed through several trees, Meirong asked the old man about the barrier formation that the Heavenly Sense's vision could not penetrate.

"I actually installed it. When I sensed that someone was trying to pass through the wall of energy I was creating, I tried to check it out. Who would have thought I got a surprise by meeting old acquaintance students and you guys." Bing Lizi laughed as she patted Yao Han on the shoulder, "In my residence, you will meet someone later."

"Is he Ancestor Chen or Ancestor Xi?" yao Han asked enthusiastically. Being able to meet Bing Lizi was already an incredible thing for Yao Han especially if he met the other two old men within a day.

"Not both, but Meirong and maybe Yutian should know this guy. And stop calling them both ancestors, Xiao Han. You should know that the youngest among the Four Hunters is Brother Chen, his age gap with your teacher is about a hundred years. If she finds out about your call, she'll probably cry."

"Let me guess, you guys thought it was the magic plant that caused the area around here to cool, didn't you?" Getting a soft nod answer, Bing Lizi let out a small laugh, "You guys are not wrong, there is indeed an Ice Soul Lotus growing around my residence, a dozen in number, but it is not the magic plant that caused this phenomenon. She was only five hundred years old anyway."

"Is it possible that this is due to Uncle Master Bing?"

Bing Lizi smiled broadly, "Much more or less like that, but it actually happened by accident."

"What does Senior mean?"

"I'll tell you the story when I get to my house. Well, that's the place." Bing Lizi pointed forward.

Yao Han and the two both frowned. They could clearly see what Bing Lizi called his residence, but it was not in the shape of a house as in general but a large cave under a small hill.

"Seniors... You live in that cave?" Yutian's question represented Yao Han and Meirong's heart.

"Right, you may be confused, I'll explain later. First we go inside and meet the people who live with me."

The closer to the cave of Bing Lizi's residence, Yao Han and the others could feel the Qi density increasing.

His appearance resembled that of a man in his thirties. His face was handsome and dashing, his brows thickly shaped like a sword, his eyes sharp as well as firm.

"Senior Tian..." Meirong's eyes widened as he recognized the figure before him. Yao Han and Yutian turned to Meirong for a moment before staring at the figure.

"I mean Teacher Hong... The Sky Sword King Tian Jian?"

The figure stared at Yao Han's entourage in turn, "Who are you? How do you know about me?"

Meirong took a step closer, "Senior Tian, I am Hong Meirong."

"Hongs... Meirongs? The Goddess of the Fire Sword?!" Tian Jian's eyes widened, "Why you-" Tian Jian's gaze turned to Yutian, "You.. aren't you She Yutian's Poison Gate? Why would the Fire Sword Goddess and the Poison Gate come together here?" Tian Jian then looked at Bing Lizi, "Senior Bing..."

Bing Lizi smiled faintly realizing Tian Jian needed an explanation, "Relax, we have plenty of time to tell each other."
