Two years later

Ibrahim's family gathered in the living room after dinner.

"How do we open our new hotel in Malaysia ?" ask Papa to Zack.

"Walking smoothly Pa." Zack said that he arrived this afternoon from Malaysia after the opening of their new hotel.

"Are you sure you don't want to give Johan the role of director at our new hotel in Malaysia ? because according to Papa Johan deserves to hold that office."

"I know Johan deserves it, it's just that I haven't been able to make a suitable replacement to replace Johan in his current position."

Papa nodded in understanding. "Papa understands that about it, you're also a bit overwhelmed if no Johan helps you."

"Well since we've all gathered together, Mama wants to say something especially to Sinta." Mama Rani interrupted the conversation.

Sinta turned her head towards Mama who from earlier was just seriously watching a television show.

"Why Mama ? it seems like something serious." Sinta asked.

"Two days ago, Mama and Papa had a guest. The guest's goal initially surprised Mama. But after we thought, Mama and Papa agreed on what the guest meant." Mama said full of mystery.

Sinta frowned. "What the hell does Mama mean ? I don't understand." Sinta said confused.

Mama smiled looking at Sinta. "The guest came to this house to propose to you to be his wife and we accepted the proposal."

"Huh !!!" Sinta gawked at Mama Rani's words, still not believing what she had just heard.

"I mean, Mama and Papa accepted the proposal of the man who came to propose to me ?" Sinta added after coming out of her shock.

"Yes and your engagement will be live tomorrow night." Answer Mama Rani.

"His engagement is tomorrow night ?!" Sinta was surprised.

"Yes you're tomorrow afternoon with Mama going to the salon to prepare for the engagement. Mama's already prepared the dress you're going to wear for your engagement."

Sinta took a deep breath to neutralize her mixed feelings between surprise, disbelief and anger hearing this unexpected news.

"Mama, Sinta doesn't want to marry a man I don't know and again why did you accept the man's proposal without asking me first ?" Sinta said protest.

"We knew him very well, therefore Mama and Papa immediately accepted." Papa said adding.

"You know him but I don't."

"How can you say you don't know him when you don't know the man who came to propose to you ?" Mama Rani asked.

"Are you dating a guy ?" Zack asked, curious.

"It's not just that if I want to get married later I want to marry a man of my own choice." Sinta says.

"But sorry dear invitation for the event tomorrow night is already spread, we can not cancel the event tomorrow night." Mama Rani said in a regretful tone.

"Mama, I don't want to." Rengek Sinta's.

"This is just the engagement of Sinta is not married, live first if it is not suitable you can refuse to continue to the marriage." Advice Zack.

Sinta was silent thinking about Zack's words that were right, thinking if she refused this engagement her family would bear the shame of the invitation that had been spread.

"All right." Sinta had to agree.

Mama Rani smiled with relief. "Thank God, Mama's happy to hear that."

"You yourself how's Zack ?" ask Papa Arian to Zack.

"I mean Papa ?" Zack asked back, not understanding.

Zack just fell silent with a grim face.

"You know you're still looking for information on Alanna." Papa said bluntly.

Mama put on a serious face looking at Zack. "Until when do you keep silent like this ? it's been going on for a long time, son." Mama gave advice.

Zack breathed a heavy sigh. "Honestly I don't know how to deal with Alanna." Zack said grimly.

"But if you still love her, you must act unable to just keep silent. Alanna's a good, beautiful woman must be a lot of other men out there who want her too." Mother warned.

Zack's jaw hardened hearing Mama Rani's words.

"I know Ma."

Sinta's engagement event was held in the ballroom of the Ibrahim family's main hotel. Invitations began to enter the ballroom door.

Waiting for the invited guests came Sinta waiting with a sullen face inside the hotel room located near the hotel ballroom room where the event was held.

"Have, no need to put on a face like that, your face looks ugly even though your makeup is good." Tegur Mama Rani's.

"I can't put on a happy face when I don't like the guy." Sinta defended herself.

"You must love it, parents' instincts usually won't go wrong." Mama Rani smiled reassuringly.

"Come on, I'm not sure." Mumbles Sinta.

"Mama come out first, want to see the invitation that has been present." Mama Rani got up standing walking towards the door of the room.

My mother reappeared shortly afterwards. "We're out now, the invitations are all present."

"All right." Sinta stood up lazily from her chair.

They entered the ballroom room that had been filled with invited guests. People's eyes were fixed on the two of them who had just entered the room.

"We're straight ahead, your future fiance is already waiting from earlier." Mama Rani told me.

Sinta simply nodded in agreement without making a sound. Sinta and Mama Rani join Zack, Papa and Johan who have been waiting for them at a table near the cover stage.

The event was opened by the MC, Sinta's attention was on Johan.

She did not have any feelings at all for me, she even came to my engagement without any sad look on her face at all.

Sinta let out a long sigh, lamenting the tragic fate of her romance.

Too swept up in his thoughts, he even forgot to ask at the table where his future fiancee was sitting.

Applause of all invited guests disperse Sinta's daydream.

"Don't daydream, the MC has allowed you to go on stage. It's time to exchange rings." Mama Rani told me.

Sinta stood up reluctantly, followed by Johan who also stood up. Johan walked around the table to Sinta, grabbed Sinta's hand and walked side by side to the engagement stage which was beautifully designed and luxurious.

Sinta looked at Johan with a sad face, trying not to cry and shed her tears.

He even voluntarily escorted me to the stage with such a smiling face. She must be happy and relieved because the woman who had been bothering her would be engaged to another man.

"Is it that happy ?" Sinta couldn't help but ask once they had stood in the center of the stage.

"I'm very happy of course." Johan smiled for the umpteenth time tonight. The record for most where Sinta can see Johan's smile in just a few hours.

"What about you ? you're not happy on the night of our engagement ?" Johan added, asking.
