Chapter 53

"I'll think about how to tell Mom." Alanna.

"I will also help you think of ways to explain this matter."

Alanna nodded at Zack's words. "Where's my phone ?"

Zack turned his chair back to his desk and opened the drawer with Alanna still on top of his lap. Put the phone on the table for Alanna to take.

Alanna's attention was on the picture frame on the table. Zack placed their wedding photo next to a picture frame of himself that Alanna had brought from Surabaya at Zack's request.

"Mas saved this photo here ?" Alanna asked while taking her cell phone.

"What photo ?" zack asked, not understanding what Alanna meant.

"The photo I asked to take from Surabaya." Alanna explained.

"O. that photo." Zack said as he looked at the photo that Alanna meant. "Actually mas also want to put it on the desk mas work in the office but because only one so mas prefer to put it here."

Alanna was happy with Zack's words and actions, even though she knew there was no meaning to them. Zack had already stressed from the beginning of this relationship that he could not possibly love Alanna. Alanna moves to get off Zack's lap, intending to no longer disturb Zack's work.

Zack tightly hugged Alanna's waist, holding her back. "What do you want ?" Zack asked.

"I want to go back to the mas room, I don't want to interrupt the mas work."

"Done calling Mom you'll have to take a little nap" Zack told Alanna.

"Yes, I know."

"Good." Zack takes off his arms, allowing Alanna to get down, walking towards the door to get out.

While in the room, Alanna immediately called her mother. Ask the news and ask if his mother regularly takes her medicine. After calling Mom, Alanna lay in bed and soon drowsiness came to put her to sleep.

After dinner, Alanna returns to her own room as Zack re-enters her study. Even if Zack doesn't come to the office, he does his job at home.

Alanna intends to talk to Zack, discussing the issue of him not being given permission to work. So Alanna decided not to sleep and waited for Zack to return to the room.

The door opened and Zack entered at ten in the night, astonished to see Alanna who had not yet slept.

"Why haven't you slept ?" zack asked Alanna, sitting joined on the couch.

"Waiting for Zack." Alanna smiled softly.

"Why ? is there something you want to talk about ?"

"Yes, about our conversation this afternoon."

"You still want to work ?"

"Yes, Zack thought about it ?" Alanna asked back, curious about Zack's answer.

"Mas hasn't decided yet." Zack is honest.

"May I let it work." Then Alanna clasped Zack's hand. "I'll be careful when I work."

"What about our deal before marriage ?"

"Why our deal ?" alanna asked astonished by Zack's words that suddenly moved the direction of the conversation.

"I agreed to keep our marriage a secret until you were declared pregnant, and now you're pregnant so our marriage will no longer be kept secret."

"Alright, I'm following Zack's decision."Alanna agreed. "Then what about my job ?"

"Because our marriage is no longer a secret, how could you work as the head of the room section if your husband is actually the owner of the hotel ?"

"Can't really ?" Alanna asked back. "Is there anything that prohibits me from working as the head of the room section ? isn't it because my husband owns a hotel that it doesn't matter that I work in any part ?" tamba Alanna analyzed.

"But maybe the hotel staff won't be comfortable, let alone Ariel who is your direct superior, they won't be comfortable and feel like being watched." Zack explained.

Alanna understood what Zack meant, but she also wanted to work. "But, I'd love to work." Alanna went back to persuading Zack.

Zack fell silent, thinking of all the possibilities that might happen. "Alright, I allow you to work but on condition." Zack said finally after a few minutes of silence.

"What condition ?" Alanna asked excitedly.

"You need to stop working when your stomach starts to grow." Zack said firmly. " I don't want to risk you both." Zack added, not wanting to be denied.

"But it's only a few months away." Alanna Protest.

Alanna thought after hearing Zack's sensible words. "Okay, I agree." Alanna finally said. "Thank you." added Alanna happily while hugging Zack.

Zack smiled back at Alanna's embrace. "Now you must sleep." Zack said as he let go of his embrace.

Alanna obeyed Zack's words, zack heads to the bathroom to clean up and change into a nightgown, following Alanna to bed but first turns off all the room lights and turns on the sleeping lights on the bedside nightstand.

Zack lay sideways facing Alanna, pulling her closer and hugging her body. "Sleep". Zack whispered softly, peeking at Alanna's forehead before she closed her eyes and fell asleep.

The morning after breakfast, Zack and Alanna get ready for work.

"You're in the car with me." Zack said as they walked towards the front door. When he arrived outside, Risno was waiting, standing next to the parked car. Mr. Risno then opened the car door when he saw Zack and Alanna who were walking closer.

"Thank you, Risno." Alanna said with a friendly smile as she walked in and sat in the back seat with Zack.

"Together Miss Alanna." Reply Mr. Risno then closed the car door, walked forward opened the driver's door and turned on the car, out of the house area to the highway.

"Why didn't Johan pick you up ?" alanna asked on the way to the hotel.

"I told him to go straight to the hotel."

"I was a little nervous about the hotel staff's reaction to seeing us get off in the same car, what they were going to say." Alanna said as she stared out through the window of the car beside her.

"Why ? you're afraid they're talking negative things about us ?"

Alanna looked at Zack. "Not us, but I. They must be thinking something about me. They must think I seduced or framed you into marrying me." Alanna said with a sad face.

"You think too much about other people's opinions." Zack scolds Alanna. "Let them tell you as they please, there's no way you can explain one by one to every person who tells us about our relationship."

"I know, it's just that it bothers me."

"Don't be too stressed, pregnant women shouldn't be too stressed." Zack reminded, holding out a hand rubbing gently on Alanna's cheek. "Later to think about how to keep the hotel staff from talking about you." Zack calms Alanna.

"Thank you Zack." Alanna smiled with relief at Zack's words.

Not long after the car stopped in front of the hotel entrance, Johan stood in front of the entrance waiting for their arrival.

Johan opens the car door from the outside, Zack out of the car after Alanna with the help of Zack.

"Thank you for that." Alanna said with a smile after coming out who was greeted by a gentle smile from Zack.

"Congratulations to Mr. Zack, Miss Alanna." Say hello to them.

"Good morning to Johan." Reply Alanna smiled.

Zack walks into the hotel with Alanna beside him, puts her hand on Alanna's possessive back and Johan walks over from behind.

The attention of everyone who was in the hotel lobby led to them making Alanna a little awkward.

"Not to be awkward." Zack whispered in Alanna's ear as she felt Alanna's stiff back under her palm.

Alanna looked at Zack. "Obviously, you ?" alanna smiled wryly.

Seeing the look on Alanna's face made Zack giggle. "Hehehe little, for I am near you but from afar those who see may not realize it."

Hearing Zack's words made breathing a sigh of relief. "Good."

Along the way past the hotel lobby to a special elevator came the whispering sounds of staff commenting on their proximity.

Johan immediately pressed the ride button when he was standing in front of the special elevator door, not long after the elevator door opened and they entered.
