At three o'clock in the afternoon they left the hotel for Alanna's house. Alanna called her mother on the way to her house. The phone is connected on the third ring.
"Hallo's Mom ?" Alanna said while pressing the loudspeaker button on her phone screen.
"Hallo son, Tumben called Mom at this hour."
"I'm on my way home."
"You just got home from the office ?" Mom asked, thinking Alanna was on her way home from the hotel to her apartment.
Alanna smiled at her mother's words. "No Mom, I'm on my way home to Surabaya." Alanna.
Surprised I heard the words of Alanna who suddenly said she was in Surabaya. "Why didn't you tell Mom you were coming home ?"
"I'm calling right now isn't this the same as telling Mom ?"
"Yes you're right but I mean from a few days before you're going home son." Mother explained what she meant.
"O. That's what I mean." Alanna understood.
Zack who was driving the car just kept quiet hearing their conversation.
"Mother's home, right ?" Alanna asked.
"Mom's outside, son."
"Where's mom ?"
"There's in the market, buying kitchen necessities."
"Mom's house keys bring ? don't you keep it in a regular place on the porch ?"
"Mother brought her son, since you were in Jakarta I've never put the keys to the house there."
"Honey, we're going to the market to pick up Mom." Zack's whispers interrupted their conversation.
Alanna agreed. "Mom, we're going to the market to pick up Mom." Alanna said to Mom.
"We ? You didn't go home by yourself ?" Ask mama.
"Yes Mom, I'm home with Zack."
"That's it."
"I turn off the phone first, I'll call you back when you get to the market."
"Yes fine." Mom said before turning off the phone.
"Which way are we going ?" ask Zack.
"Mas still remember the market that we went to both before returning to Jakarta ?" Alanna asked back.
Zack recalled for a moment before nodding. "Yes, I remember."
"We go to that market."
"okay." Zack then turned his car towards the market direction Alanna meant.
Zack parked the car in front of the market as directed by Alanna.
Alanna called me back to tell me where they were waiting. Soon, Mom is seen coming out of the market, walking closer to their car.
Looking at the approaching mother, Alanna went straight out of the car on Zack's tail which immediately took the groceries out of Mom's hand and put them in the trunk behind the car.
"Mom's got a lot of shopping, too." Alanna.
"That's a two-week need."
"Will you go home ?" ask Zack after saving the groceries.
"Yes, Zack, let's go straight home."
"Well, Alanna and I can sit in the back seat." Zack opened them the back door of the car.
Mother entered first and then followed Alanna after they entered Zack immediately closed the car door and stepped forward to open the driver's car door. Zack glanced at the rearview mirror in front of him making sure they were sitting comfortably before turning on the car.
"You're not bothering Nak Zack ?" ask Mom on their way home.
"What's it bothering ?" Alanna frowned not understanding the meaning of Mother's words.
"Son Zack would have come if you had come back here the same time you first came, what if he was busy working."
"It's okay, Mom, I'm the one who forced Alanna to accompany me so I've arranged my schedule before coming here." Zack convinced Mom.
Zack stops the car in front of Alanna's house. They walked out of the car to the front door. Not long standing waiting for Mother who was unlocking the front door.
"Come in with you." Mother said as she pushed the door into the one that was followed by Alanna and Zack from behind.
"Where are these expenses stored ?" ask Zack.
"Put it on the kitchen table, son." Answer Mother smiling kindly.
"Good Mom." Zack steps into the kitchen to get Mom's groceries off the market.
Mother's gaze was turned on Alanna who carried nothing but her handbag in her hand ."I just realized that if you don't have a suitcase, you'll spend the night instead of ?"
"Mom doesn't remember the last time I was here back in Jakarta I didn't bring anything, so I had a lot of clothes in my wardrobe in my room." Alanna reminded.
"Well, is it ? Mom doesn't remember. I didn't open your wardrobe when I tidied up your room so I didn't know there were too many clothes in your closet."
Zack returns from the kitchen after putting the groceries down. I looked at Zack.
"Do you want to drink, son Zack ? I'll make it."
"I'll just get coffee, ma'am." Answer Zack.
"Let me make coffee for Zack's mas." Alanna offered to walk towards the kitchen.
Zack approached Mom with a face that turned serious.
"Mommy still has work to do ?" Zack asked.
"Actually there, I want to tidy up the groceries earlier. Why kiddo ? is there something you want to talk about ?" I asked curiously to see the look on Zack's serious face.
"Yes, Mom, there's something I want to talk to you about about something serious.
"We sit down, son." Take Mom to walk to the chair in the middle room.
Mother sat first then Zack followed sitting in a chair in front of Mom.
"What's up with Zack ?"
"It's about me and Alanna Ma'am." Zack started to open the conversation.
"Well, what's wrong with you guys ?"
"Actually me and Alanna have long been legally and religiously married." Zack said slowly and firmly.
Silent, Mother was silent to hear Zack's words the first reaction was seen only the look of a surprised face from Mother.
The attention of the two was distracted seeing Alanna who walked over with a cup of coffee in her hand.
"It's your Zack coffee mas." Alanna puts her coffee mug on the table with Zack and sits down to join Zack and Mom.
I looked at Alanna seriously ."That's right son of the one who told Zack's son that you were married without Mom's knowledge ?"
Alanna who had prepared mentally for this moment nodded in agreement. "Yes mother, that's exactly what Mas Zack said." Alanna said try to calm down.
"Why should anything good be kept secret ?" Mother asked in a dislike tone to know who between the two of them.
"Mother this is not Zack's fault, mas Zack did not want our marriage to be hidden in fact I forced mas Zack to agree this marriage in secret from Mother." Alanna honestly didn't want Zack to be blamed for what he did.
"Why do you want to hide something important like this from Mom, son ?" I asked inexhaustible thought Alanna would do such a thing.
Alanna just felt guilty. "Sorry Mother."
"Don't entirely blame Alanna Bu, my older age and thought should not have agreed to Alanna's wishes back then. I should have met Mom to propose to her, only when Alanna said she agreed to the terms had forced me to agree and planned to tell Mom afterwards.
"But when I first met Mom's health was not good made me think to postpone telling Mom about our marriage because given Mom's health condition." Zack explained.
"You have parents, son Zack ?" Mother asked still with an unhappy face because she had been lied to.
"There's Mom."
"Still alive all ?"
"Yes Mom, Mom and Dad are alive."
"They were present at your wedding ?"
"Yes ma'am, they were present because our marriage was taken care of by my parents and held in our house."
Mother frowned in surprise at Zack's words. "They didn't question why Alanna's parents weren't present ?"
