The Man Full of Wounds

The Man Full of Wounds
Chapter 109

"Mas Zack, I'm not kidding." Alanna ketus.

"I'm joking, something like this isn't something you can joke around with."

"I'm not your wife, I probably was, but I'm not anymore and Zack knows that." Alanna said firmly. "Better mas Zack tell me what's up to calling me this."

Zack put on a serious face, away from Alanna walking towards her desk folding both her hands on her chest while leaning against the edge of the table.

"You know a man named Mohammad Fasli ?" Zack asked.

"Yes, I know him because he also works at this hotel. We met a few times." Alanna answered, although confused by the direction of Zack's conversation, which suddenly changed.

"Meet a few times or drive you home a few times ?" Zack asked while correcting Zack's words.

"I've known him not too long ago and I'm telling the truth, we've only met a few times." Alanna explained. "Wait a minute, where did Zack know he was dropping me off ?" Alanna added suspiciously, after noticing Zack's words.

Zack chose to be quiet and not answer Alanna's question.

Alanna walked up to Zack with a suspicious look. "Mas Zack didn't follow me, did he ?"

"What relationship do you have ?" Zack answered without answering Alanna's question.

"Jawab, was my question ?" Alanna demanded an answer.

"Yesterday I accidentally saw you walking with him, the man drove you all the way to the bus stop. I've answered your question so you have to answer my question now." Zack demanded back.

"We're just limited friends no more but it's not Zack's business anymore if I turn out to have a lover."

"Stay away from that guy, you don't want me to fire him just because he's approaching don't you ?" Zack threatened Alanna.

"Why would Zack act like that ?" Alanna started getting emotional.

"That's my right, this hotel is mine so I can do as I please." Zack said arrogantly.

"But this is not a professional name mas !"

"I don't care, as long as it's related to you."

"Why is Zack behaving like this ? mas Zack can't manage my life. We're not married couples anymore. ?"

"Who told you we're not married anymore ?"

"Mas Zack doesn't remember sending me the divorce papers and I signed them ?"

"Indeed I sent you a divorce filing file but did I ever send you a divorce deed ?"

Alanna was surprised to hear Zack's words and just realized it turns out that until now the divorce deed has never been sent to Zack.

"So we're still husband and wife because I never put the file in a religious court so legally you're still my wife."

"Maybe legally we are still husband and wife because we have not issued divorce papers but Zack religiously we have been said to be divorced." Alanna was still insistent with her opinion.

"Well you remember once again baby, did I ever say divorce or talaq to you ?"

Alanna thought for a while before answering. "Never." The answer is with a heavy heart.

"In our religion the word divorce issued wife is not legal unless the husband said it and as I remember and you know I never said it.

"Even if we are separated, I still support you by birth except the new mind I gave you last night so there is no basis why we are not said to be husband and wife, he said, I'm still your husband and I deserve you completely."

Alanna was silent where she stood, all the words that Zack put out were right to make herself speechless.

"I need time to accept this situation that I think is very sudden." Alanna finally spoke a while later.

"All right, I'll give you some time." Zack relented.

"If there's nothing else Zack wants to say, I'm back to work first." Alanna was about to turn away.

"I'm not done talking." Zack stopped Alanna.

"What else is it ?" Alanna back emotion.

"We're going back to Jakarta."

"I plan to go home but not yet."

"You're going home with me, like it's not like you have to come home with me." Zack said firmly. "And one more thing, you better go straight to your apartment, I don't like you working here much less as a waiter." Add still with the same tone.

"But I don't remember I used to work as a hotel waitress when we first met ?"

"But that's when you're not my wife yet." Zack added.

"But mas -." Alanna protested, cut off by Zack.

"I don't want to be denied, dear."

Alanna let out a long sigh, she was very familiar with Zack's nature. There was no point in arguing if Zack had already spoken in such a tone.

"Well, I'll go straight home but I have to change clothes first." Alanna had to give up. "What would I say if the head of the room section asked ?"

"Tell me if you're stopped, the rest let me take care of it."

Alanna nodded in understanding before turning away leaving Zack who kept staring at her back until it disappeared behind the door.

As Alanna guessed, she met the head of the room section once out of changing into a hotel uniform.

The head of the room section approached Alanna with a frown looking at Alanna who had changed clothes.

"Why did you change your clothes when sif noon was not over ?"

"I was called our Boss and stopped sir, so I now want to go home ?" Alanna answered honestly.

"Why can it ?" ask the head of the room section in wonder.

"He doesn't like me working here as a waiter."

"I mean ?" the head of the room section is confused.

"You can ask him directly if you want to know, if there's nothing else I say." Alanna turned around without waiting for a response from the head of the room section.

Alanna walked through the lobby to the front door of the hotel.

"Alanna !" A male voice called out to him, stopping his footsteps. Alanna circulated the look looking for the origin of the sound. Seen from far away Fasli ran a little towards him.

"You're going home already ? isn't today you still working sif noon ?" fasli asked curiously as soon as he arrived before Alanna.

"I'm at a standstill, from today on I don't work anymore." Answer Alanna.

Fasli was surprised to hear that. "Why can it ?"

Alanna shrugged both of her shoulders. "Of course." He said resignedly, not knowing where to start if he wanted to explain to Fasli made Alanna choose to be quiet.

"Who fired you ? General Manager ?"

Alanna shook her head. "Not."

"Then who ? Manager Room Division ?"

Alanna let out a heavy sigh, slightly caught off guard by the demands of Fasli's question. "Our boss is direct, Zack Ibrahim."

Fasli frowned confusedly. "Why can it ?"

"I'm not sure why either, I'm going home first if there's nothing you want to ask."

"I'll take you to the bus stop." Fasli.

"Not to mention it's still afternoon." Refuse Alanna.

"It's okay, I'm happy to accompany you."

"But I'm uncomfortable."

"Why ? Do you have a girlfriend or someone you like ?" Fasli asked, seeing from Alanna's attitude that kept her distance.

"Sorry it's my privacy but I beg you to keep your distance from me, I'm a little uncomfortable." Alanna decided to stay to tell me why.

Fasli was speechless at Alanna's words, slightly struck by her refusal.

"I'm sorry if I make you hurt, you're a good person there are a lot of women who will like you."

Fasli smiled wryly. "But you're not included."

"I'm sorry, excuse me and maybe this is our last meeting." Alanna said before stepping away.

Fasli could only resignedly see Alanna who walked away without being able to do anything.
