The Man Full of Wounds
Chapter 23

While preparing to leave for work Alanna receives an incoming call from a new number. "Hallo with whom is this ? " Alanna asked when the phone line was connected.

" This is alanna ? " ask the voice of the woman from across the street.

" Yes with me, who is this ? " it's a wonder Alanna never gave anyone a mobile number.

" This is Zack's mom." The voice of the woman from across.

" Aunty Rani. " Alanna was a little surprised. "What's aunty ?" alanna asked curiously because she called Rani's mom.

" Aunty wants to invite Alanna to fit kebaya clothes for your wedding, did not have time to design a new kebaya dress because the wedding time is near." Obviously mama Rani.

"When is aunty for kebaya fittings ? because I went to work. " Tanya Alanna is not feeling good to Rani's mom.

"This morning, aunt will pick you up. Auntie told Zack and he gave her permission, this is what she wants, too."

"Okay my aunt is waiting. "

"Yes, I'll see you in the afternoon, Alanna." Said Rani's mother then disconnected the phone.

After receiving a call from Rani's mother, Alanna rushes down from her apartment to the bottom floor because Mr. Risno is waiting to take her to the hotel.

While outside the apartment building Alanna was not sure the car parked in front of the apartment building was the car that would pick her up because the type of car was different from the usual pick her up. Decided to contact Mr. Risno asking for his whereabouts when the car door opened and Zack got out of the car.

" Come in, Mr. Risno can't take you because he has to take you away to take care of the wedding preparations." Zack explains the whereabouts of Mr. Risno.

" I can take a taxi, you don't have to bother picking me up. " Alanna refused.

" Come in, Alanna, I don't want to fight with you early in the morning and in a public place. " Zack said firmly did not want to be denied to make Alanna speechless and forced to obey and enter.

" Down me at the crossroad near the hotel, I'll walk from there. " Say Alanna when the car is running.

Zack just silently heard Alanna's words while driving the car on the highway. "You're going with mom this afternoon." Zack told me.

" Yes I know your mother called me, told me." Alanna replied to Zack in a flat tone, still angry at Zack.

" I'm busy today there's a meeting outside the office so it's just you who's going for a shirt fit." Zack told me.

" If you're busy not bothering to pick me up, you can ask Johan to drive me."

" Johan has other business to do so he can't take you. "

" So that means you're forced to come pick up because no one can ?" Alanna began to speak in an offended tone that Zack disliked. "If you don't have to come, I can take a taxi." Added Alanna slightly raising her tone of voice began to emotion.

" I didn't say that ! " Zack said firmly. "Don't jump to Alanna's own conclusions. "

" From the beginning of this relationship was only because you were forced to marry me, I was forced to approve of it and you were forced to take care of me because I am your future wife." Alanna began to speak with a raspy tone trembling withstanding the tears that from yesterday in her hold.

" Why are you saying that ?! " Zack said furiously not liking Alanna's words.

"Down me in front." Cut Alanna when the car has approached the intersection near the hotel. With Zack forced to stop his car even though there was still something he wanted to say. "I got off first, thanks for the ride." Alanna's moving out.

Zack restrains Alanna by holding her hand. "We'll talk again, I don't like it when we keep fighting like this." Zack suddenly said softly, Zack's hand raised holding the back of Alanna's head, pulling close to her face and kissing Alanna's forehead gently making Alanna speechless widening her eyes in surprise at Zack's unexpected actions. "Be careful when crossing the street." Zack added after releasing his kiss which was countered with a nod of the head by Alanna who had not found her voice in surprise, then got out of the car.

A knock on the door distracts Alanna from the computer screen in front of her. "Come in ! " Alanna replied.

The door opened and Johan appeared from behind the door. "The big lady is waiting for you, she's in Zack's room. " Johan told me.

"Sir Zack isn't his today there's a meeting outside ?" alanna asked wondering why she still sees Johan at the hotel.

" Yes he had a meeting this morning only on retreat after lunchtime." Johan replied. "Why Alanna ? you need anything with Mr Zack ? " johan asked back.

" O... No. No, I'm just curious to see you here." Answer Alanna.

"Well then, I'll go first." Pamit Johan left the room.

After Johan left Alanna went out to the special elevator to the floor of Zack's room. When the elevator door opened Alanna went straight to Zack's room because of lunchtime, it was no wonder that Zack's secretary wasn't at his desk.

Tok tok tok tok tok tok

Alanna knocked on Zack's door.

"Lake in." Zack said from the inside.

"Excuse me." Alanna said as she entered and closed the door behind her.

" Come on over here, Alanna." Rani's mom called to come closer. "Why do you feel so sorry to go into Zack's room ? she's your future husband. " Mama Rani asked Alanna again.

" This is right at the aunt's workplace, who knows Mr. Zack there is an important guest and suddenly I entered without excuse is not polite." Clearly Alanna then sat joined on the sofa beside Mama Rani.

" Don't you say there was a meeting outside Zack's office this morning ? " ask mama Rani.

" In the day of the day ma. " Zack answered briefly but his gaze stared at Alanna who was sitting before him.

"Why are you two ? " mama Rani asked Zack and Alanna, looking at the behavior of those who did not talk to each other and sat far apart. "You guys got into a fight ?" Guess mama Rani.

"Just misunderstand ma, nothing serious." Zack answered while Alanna was silent.

"You're staying a few days getting married and still having a fight." Mama Rani scolds not like.

"You Zack as a man and a more mature one should have given up a little." Mama Rani blames Zack for making Alanna feel guilty. "Done your problems, mama wait in Alanna's car, let Johan take you down." Mama Rani got up from her seat and walked out of the room leaving Zack and Alanna who were still silent in their respective places.
