Chapter 41

Alanna woke up early with puffy eyes from crying. His feeling this morning was not good even though he had been crying all night. As a result this morning Alanna saw her appearance in the dresser mirror was messy, puffy eyes and swollen from crying in addition to the eyes of the panda due to lack of sleep.

"I can not go to the office with this appearance, I better call Mr. Ariel to ask for leave today." Muttering Alanna moved to take the phone that was on the bedside nightstand.

The sound of the door opening, Zack came inside with a neat appearance wearing a blue dongker suit.

"I have to leave now, actually I don't want to go with our circumstances like but there's a meeting that can't be delayed there and I can't leave that task to Johan." Zack explains, Zack who saw the situation Alanna knew that his wife was crying and sleep deprived overnight, making her feel more guilty. "I'm going to tell Johan to ask for a leave of absence for you today, you rest at home." Zack added.

Alanna just silently did not reply to Zack's words or looked directly at Zack, she had not set her feelings that were still chaotic because of yesterday's incident.

"You don't want to come down for breakfast ?" Zack was still trying to get Alanna to talk.

"No mas, I have no taste for food." Alanna finally made a sound.

Zack was a little relieved because Alanna was willing to talk to him even with a flat tone forced.

"You have to eat, if you don't want to go down for breakfast I'll get people to take your breakfast to the room." Zack insisted, looking at his watch that showed the time for him to leave now. "We'll talk about this matter after I get home later, I've got to leave now." Pamit Zack, wants to hug Alanna before leaving but hesitates to see the attitude of Alanna who is still angry and chooses to turn away.

"Alanna didn't come down for breakfast ?" rani asked when she saw Zack approaching, while Papa Arian and Sinta were enjoying their breakfast.

"No ma, please tell people to take breakfast to our room."

"You guys are fighting ? this morning Mama saw you coming out of the guest room, last night you slept in the guest room ?" ask mama Rani curious.

Hearing Rani's mama's question makes Papa Arian and Sinta turn their attention to Zack, curious about Zack's answer.

"Yes ma, there was a little misunderstanding between me and Alanna, she wanted to be alone so I chose to sleep in the guest room." Zack acknowledged.

"Sir Zack seems to be sleep deprived." Sinta made a sound as she looked at the black shadow under Zack's eyes.

"Yes." Yeah." Zack admitted while massaging his forehead that from last night hurt.

"Zack in a household whose name is a husband and wife quarrel is common, we just live how to solve the problems that occur, there must be someone who relents and who thinks logically." Papa Arian gave advice.

"Yes, I know that."

"It's time for you to leave." mama Rani reminded.

"Yes, I'm leaving first ma, pa, don't forget to have breakfast for Alanna."

"Yes, mom knows."

Zack turned away, outside Johan was waiting for him to stand next to the car that would take them to the airport.

"Johan please call HC's staff to take care of Alanna's leave today." Zack orders before getting in the car.

"Good sir." Replied Johan obediently.

A day in the room made Alanna a little bored, his breakfast was delivered to the room this morning not long after Zack left and at lunch Alanna decided to eat downstairs along with the others, at lunch papa Arian and mama Rani did not mention the issue of her quarrel with Zack, they behaved as usual to make Alanna a little relieved.

This afternoon there is no activity that Alanna does other than just sitting on the sofa staring at the scenery outside through the bedroom window overlooking the park while thinking about Zack's past.

Think about what caused Zack's marriage to end. Whether she had a child from her previous marriage and where she is now, Alanna suddenly remembered Maya's words in Surabaya that said Mariana's grave had not dried up, maybe he died ? Alanna wondered in her heart.

Suddenly remembering her mother made Alanna decide to contact her via video call. Until the last ringing of the phone call was not picked up, Alanna was a little worried, decided to call back and the phone was connected when the third ring.

"Why's the phone just picked up ?" alanna asked when she saw her mother's face on the phone screen. "Mom's in room ?" alanna was surprised to see her mother sitting on the bed.

"Yes, from yesterday afternoon I wasn't feeling well." Mother said in a soft voice.

Alanna noticed her mother's face looking pale. "Why didn't Mom call me ?"

"Mom thought she would recover after the break but it turns out that until now there has been no change."

"Mom ate already ?"

"Not yet, just drink a few glasses of warm milk."

"But you don't have to work ?"

"It's okay Mom, I can ask for a leave of absence, I don't have to worry about that." Alanna convinced her mother. "Mommy, I've got to get ready maybe to get home tonight."

"Yes, be careful on the road, son." Mom's message and phone call disconnected.

Alanna rushed to pack her clothes into the suitcase, carrying only a few pieces of clothing to carry, after finishing immediately down to look for Mama Rani but did not find her even in the kitchen was not there.

"Maybe she's in her room." Alanna muttered back up the stairs to climb up.

Tok tok tok tok

Alanna knocked on Rani's mom's room door. "Mama !" Alanna called.

"Come on Alanna." Mama Rani said from the inside.

Hearing her, Alanna went into the room.

"What's Alanna ?" ask mama Rani.

"Mama, I want to go back to Surabaya."

"Why ? because of your fight with Zack ?" mama Rani was surprised by Alanna's words.

" No ma, my mother in Surabaya is sick from yesterday and no one takes care of her." Alanna explained.

"Oh....! it's so messy with your mother, so when are you leaving ?" mama Rani is concerned.

"Now ma."

"Have you booked a plane ticket ?"

"Not yet, the plan after notifying the new mama then book a plane ticket."

"Have you told Zack ?" ask Mama Rani back.

"Yet ma, I'm afraid to interrupt his work."

"Then you call Johan."

"I don't have Johan's phone number."

"Then let me contact them and ask Johan to add to your leave."

Hearing the words of Rani's mother made Alanna breathe a sigh of relief. "Thank you mama." Alanna smile.

"Yes, hurry up and get your mother there. Mr. Risno is downstairs, he'll take you to the airport."

Alanna returns to her room, picks up her cell phone to book a plane ticket, after the transaction is complete Alanna then picks up her suitcase and goes downstairs.

At the front door there is already Mama Rani and Mr. Risno waiting, Mr. Risno immediately took Alanna's suitcase and brought it to be input into the trunk of a car that has been parked on the front door terrace.

"Alanna go first ma, never paid equally papa."

"Let's mom tell me papa, be careful on the road, let me know if you've arrived." mama Rani's message.

"Yes ma." Alanna said before turning around to walk towards the car.
