Chapter 49

In the morning, Alanna was getting ready to go shopping after sending Zack a message to come and drop him off.

Zack came forty minutes after Alanna sent the message.

"Mas Zack is fast too." Alanna said as she walked out of the room to find Zack waiting for her in the living room. "Who opened the door ? Mommy ?"

"Your question is strange." Zack said with a frown did not directly answer Alanna's question. "You're just two at home if you're not Mom."

Zack's words made Alanna sober and laugh at his strange question. "Ha ha ha.. . Sorry mas ha ha... ." Alanna spoke on the sidelines of her last laugh.

"It's been a long time since you've seen you laugh like this." Zack said with a smile to see Alanna laughing.

"really ?" alanna asked stopped laughing but still smiled broadly.

"Yes." Yeah." Zack poked her hand gently rubbing Alanna's cheeks which were blushing with laughter.

"Let's see Mom." Alanna reminded even though she did not reject Zack's touch.

"If Mom sees that I have to admit that I am your husband." Zack said in a jaily tone teasing Alanna.

"Mas Zack ! not funny to know !" Alanna pouted hitting Zack's chest.

Zack's turn was tickled. " He.he.he.. . I'm kidding."

"We're leaving now ?" ask Alanna.

"Can."

"Then I say good to Mom." Alanna said she turned to walk towards the kitchen and soon reappeared. "I'm here, we're going now."

Alanna becomes a guide during the trip to their destination and Zack does not expect it turns out their destination is a traditional market.

"We shop here ?" zack asked unsure.

"Yes, we're shopping here." Alanna answered Zack's question with confidence.

"I thought we were going shopping in the mall."

"Shopping here is also good, not inferior to shopping in the mall and certainly cheaper."

"I don't have a problem with the price."

"It should be nice to have a frugal wife, not spend much money on her husband." Alanna teases Zack.

"It's my duty as a husband to support my wife and child so it doesn't matter if my wife spends my money." Zack said with a serious face.

"Yes...! mas Zack, I'm just flirting with you, don't take it seriously." Alanna said gemes.

Zack smiled faintly at the look on Alanna's face. "Today you're very cheerful, I really like it."

"Thulkah ?"

"Yes, this is how Alanna was when I first met who made my gloomy day brighter with her cheerful smile."

"The words of Zack put me to shame." Alanna admitted.

"He.he.. " Zack chuckled amusedly at Alanna's words. "My wife is innocent" she added pulling Alanna into her arms, hugging her in an anxious embrace.

"Mas we should shop." Alanna said moments later waiting for Zack to let go of her embrace.

"I miss the smell of your body, it's been four days we've not been together, I've been so longing to hug you while sleeping." Zack said in a slightly raucous voice.

"We're going home tonight, I'm glad."

"Actually I'm still worried about Mom's situation but honestly I'm also happy that we're going home." Zack took off his embrace.

"I also actually do not want to return to Jakarta just forced Mother, make me forced to agree to her wishes." Alanna says. "It does not need to be discussed anymore, we better just shop, want to come or want to wait in the car ?"

"I'm coming along." Zack answered while opening the car door, followed by Alanna.

Inside the market Alanna was busy looking, bidding and buying kitchen necessities, Zack just walked by her side carrying two almost full and certainly heavy grocery bags.

"It seems like the right decision to come with you to enter the market." Zack says.

"Why did you ?"

"If I don't come, you'll have to bring all these groceries yourself." Zack replied showing both bags almost full.

"O.. that." Alanna. "It's common, especially when working in a hotel as a waiter."

Hearing this makes Zack sad about the life Alanna lived. They finished shopping when both bags were full.

"There's a lot of your groceries." Mom said when they got home and put their grocery bags on the kitchen table.

"Mom's kitchen needs." Alanna said as she took out the groceries from inside the bag.

"Son Zack had lunch here, didn't he ?" ask Mother.

"Sorry Mom, I'll eat at the hotel. I have work to do before I return to Jakarta."

"Isn't it Sunday ? Son Zack also works Sundays ?" ask Mom curious.

"Sometimes but it's a job I really want to do tomorrow just because I came home suddenly so I have to work on it and finish it this afternoon before I go back to Jakarta." Zack explains making Alanna and Mom understand.

"So you want to go ?" ask Alanna.

"Yes, I'll go first. We'll meet at the airport at eight. Call me when you're on the street."

"Then I go first Ma'am, Alanna." Pamit Zack's.

"Be careful on the road, sometime if there is a chance Nak Zack visit here huh ?"

"Sure, I'll come with Alanna to visit Mom." Zack said with a smile. "I'll excuse you, ma'am." Zack came back and was nodding back by Mom.

Alanna's busyness with her mother from morning to evening and began to improve to leave back to Jakarta when it started in the afternoon did not take long because when Alanna came not much clothes. Time showed at seven o'clock the night when he started saying goodbye to Mom.

"Mom should take her medicine regularly." Alanna's message to her mother.

"Yes, I know."

"Alanna's coming at the end of next month. I'll try every month to come see Mom." Alanna says. "I'll go first, Mom." Alanna hugged her mother.

"Yes, be careful on the road, let me know when you get there." Mother's message before Alanna leaves.

"I'll let you know when I get there." Alanna turned to walk towards the taxi car that had been waiting for her.

Arriving at the airport, Alanna called Zack. The first ring of the phone is directly connected.

"Hallo mas Zack."

"Hallo Alanna, where are you ?" Zack asked.

"Already at the airport mas, mas now where ?"

"It's still on the road, but it's not long before, it's already seen the airport."

Hearing Zack's words made Alanna go back out to the airport's main door. "I'm outside."

"Yes, I saw you." Zack said then the phone call was cut off. There was a car that stopped not far from Alanna standing, and Zack got out of the car.

"Mas Zack." Alanna walks over and turns Zack in between by a man who, if Alanna doesn't remember wrongly, is the General Manager of the Zack hotel where she was staying, gets out of the car after Zack.

"You came over ?" Zack asked as Alanna was already in front of him.

"It's also just arrived at the mas." Alanna replied not knowing how to behave in front of Zack when someone else was with them.

"How is Miss Alanna ? I'm General Manager of Pak Zack's hotel in Surabaya." The man introduced himself.

"Good news, thank you." Alanna replied stiffly as there was a man older than her calling her polite with the call of Madam.

Knowing Alanna was uncomfortable with the situation made Zack make a sound. "If you'll excuse me, thank you for driving me."

"Together Mr. Zack, glad to help you." Reply General Manager smiled kindly.

Zack then takes over holding Alanna's suitcase, pushes her away and puts her hand on Alanna's back, leading her on her way to the plane on the runway.

"Welcome Mr. Zack, Mrs Alanna." Welcome the friendly flight attendant.

"Thank you." Alanna said as she entered but Zack made no comment.

"Sit down Alanna." Zack said he took Alanna to his seat and she sat down next to him.

Alanna realized that Zack was not carrying a suitcase when he was on the plane. "Mas didn't bring Suitcases ? What about clothes ?"

"As left at the hotel, mas does not allow room number two was rented to hotel customers so the clothes are stored in the room. From Singapore you brought nothing." Zack explained.

"So when in Singapore and Surabaya mas buy clothes ?" alanna asked in surprise.

"Only when in Surabaya mas forced to buy several pieces of clothing but when in Singapore mas did not buy because the clothes mas already in the hotel suite in Singapore hotel."

"O.. that's." Alanna understood.

"Welcome Mr. Zack, Mrs Alanna." A male voice suddenly cut through their conversation which turned out to be the Plane Pilot. "We meet again Mrs Alanna, this is our second meeting after the first when you were on a flight for your honeymoon with Mr. Zack." Add the pilot to Alanna.

"Ah ! aye." Answer Alanna remembered. "It's nice to see you back." Alanna said with a friendly smile.

"When do we go ?" zack asks the pilot even though he knows what time it will take off, not liking Alanna who is too friendly on the plane pilot.

"As per Mr. Zack's plan." The pilot replies, realizing that Zack dislikes being too friendly with his wife, the jealous nature of a husband who doesn't like it if his wife is friendly with another man. "I'm sorry to get ready." Pilot's exit before entering the cockpit.

"You've had dinner ?" ask Zack to Alanna.

"Not yet, if mas ?" Alanna asked back.

"not yet. We only eat snacks on the plane when the plane has taken off. We will arrive at our new home for dinner."

"Yes, I can." Alanna consented.

Not long after, a notification was heard from inside the cockpit of the plane that the plane was getting ready for takeoff and passengers were expected to wear seat belts. Ten minutes later the plane was en route to Jakarta.
