Chapter 99

The car that Zack drove on the highway followed by a police car from behind, they drove to the location given Johan who was still following Maya's car without their knowledge.

Zack's concentration off the highway was diverted when he heard his cell phone ring.

From the screen of the mobile phone is written an incoming call from Johan. Zack slowed down his vehicle and pulled over on the side of the road.

Seeing Zack's car stop, the police stopped their car right next to Zack's and got off to find out why Zack stopped his car.

"What's up, Mr Zack ? why did your car stop here ?" The head of the police team leading Maya's arrest asked.

"There's a call coming in from my personal assistant who's watching Maya." Zack explained while showing the screen of the phone.

"Hurry up and pick up the phone, maybe he wants to give us the latest information."

Zack directly presses the green button on the phone screen and presses the loudspeaker button once the phone connection is connected.

"Hallo Johan." Zack.

"Hallo Mr." Reply Johan from across.

"What about there ? any recent info ?" Zack asked.

"They stopped at a small inn not far from the SPBU at the last location I gave you." Reply Johan.

"Are you sure they're staying there ? or maybe they just stopped for a while." Zack asked clarifying.

"I told people to check into the reception and they said Maya rented a room for one night."

"Alright, we'll catch up with you soon."

"Good sir." Johan said and the phone line was cut off.

"This is our chance to catch him immediately, we better get moving." Said the head of the police team.

"Okay sir, we're moving now." Zack agreed, closing the car door again while the head of the police team stepped quickly into their car.

Their cars drove to the location Johan meant.

Zack's car and the police stopped right next to Johan's car parked on the side of the road not far from the inn where Maya was staying.

Johan stepped closer to Zack's car as soon as Zack shut off the engine.

Zack opened the car door and then got off. "He's still in the inn ?" ask Zack along with the police who joined him to hear from Johan.

"Still sir, but the inn didn't tell you which room he was staying in because they said it violated the privacy of their guests." Reply Johan.

"Let us ask, you can follow us behind." Said the police team leader.

"Good Sir." Zack.

The head of the police team stared at the members. "We're moving now."

"Ready Sir." Sahut them simultaneously.

With his heart pounding Zack follows the police and Johan who also follows from behind.

As soon as they entered they all immediately stepped closer to the reception desk.

"Sorry sir, can we help you ?" Greet the receptionist with a friendly smile.

"We from the police wanted to ask the whereabouts of a woman inside this inn." The chief of the police team showed their identification on account of those who did not wear official clothes and only wore free clothes.

The friendly smile of the female receptionist faded. "Can you show me the face of the woman you're looking for ?"

The team leader noticed Maya's photo. "This is a picture of the woman, she just booked a room in this inn."

"She just booked a room for one night."

"What room was he staying in ?"

"Room number eight sir."

"Show me the room." The command of the police team leader.

"Good Sir." The receptionist.

The receptionist walked out of her desk into a hallway with neatly lined room doors followed by police, Zack and Johan.

"This is the room, sir." The receptionist.

"You knock on the door, if he asks who ? you said room service." Commanding the team leader at the female receptionist.

"Good Sir."

The receptionist knocked on the door several times.

"Who ?" Mayan voice from within.

"Service room." Answer receptionist.

Pause a long time before the sound of the door lock in the turn on the door of the open room.

The police pushed the door wide open.

Maya immediately pushed in with a surprised look at the number of people who stormed in.

"What is this ?! why did you guys just go into my room !!" Maya shouted furiously after coming out of her shock.

Zack steps into the room, Maya turns to look at Zack with a look that returns surprised.

"Zack ?! what are you doing here ?" Maya asked with a voice trembling in fear.

Zack smiled coldly mockingly. "I'm the one who should have asked why you could be in a small inn like this ? fear of escaping ?"

"A. a. a. ap, what do you mean I don't understand." Maya said nervously.

"You can explain everything at the police station, you can call your lawyer to defend yourself for now you have to come with us." Cut the Team Leader to Maya.

"Where's the arrest warrant for me, you can't just arrest me without the letter." Maya dodges.

The head of the police team took out a letter from the pocket in his black leather jacket and smiled mockingly at Maya while unfolding the paper noticing the letter to Maya.

"We're not stupid, there's no way we're going to arrest the perpetrator without a warrant for Ms." Team leader Ejek.

"But but-."

"Nothing but." Cut the head of the police team firmly, turning to his members. "Capture him and take him to the car now !" Add it firmly.

"Well sir !" They answered in unison, two people immediately holding each of Maya's hands making her unable to make contact and the other standing guard behind.

"Dele !! you can't do this to me !!." Maya screams thrashing. "I did what until you guys caught me like this ?!" He continued shouting, taken out of the room by the police who flanked him.

"You can call your lawyer to defend yourself, but for now you have to follow us to the police station." The police chief said calmly.

"Zack ! I didn't do anything to Alanna, she fell on her own instead of me pushing her." Maya said she tried to turn to Zack, who was behind her but was hard pressed by the police.

Zack's jaws hardened hearing Maya's words, trying not to get carried away by the emotion of hearing Maya's words.

"So you're saying, my wife deliberately threw herself down which made our son insecure ?"

"Yes !" Shouting Maya.

"It's smart that your mouth twists the facts." Zack said coldly.

"Not much of a story, miss." Cut back the police team leader to Maya. "You guys quickly drag him ! he was too noisy to make a fuss and attract a lot of people." He added because he saw some people starting to come out of the door of the room that had been closed.

Maya is dragged by the police out of the inn to a car parked outside the inn.
