" I am so sorry for you." Alanna didn't know what to say. "What did he die of ?"

"Mariana left because of the car accident I was driving, the single accident, the car I was driving hit the power pole." Zack said grimly.

"Gosh my god." Alanna was surprised, reflexively shutting her mouth at Zack's words. "Why can it ?"

"We had a big fight I chose to leave and he caught up with me forcing me to get in the car. In the car we had a fight back, I lost concentration while driving because of our quarrel so the car hit the power pole at high speed and unfortunately he was not wearing a seatbelt." Zack told me with a grim face reminiscing about the event.

"What made you guys fight ?" Alanna asked curiously.

"I found him making out with another man who turned out to be his girlfriend at a hotel in Surabaya, the accident happened in Surabaya."

"Oh my God !" Alanna is shocked to hear Zack talk about her bleak marriage past.

"Mariana and I met and met at my business partner's wedding, and then she asked to meet several times. I felt like I fit in with his nature and personality after meeting and telling stories a few times. She's the first woman I've had a serious relationship with, even though I never touched her. I thought at my age I had to think about marriage, and then I proposed to her to get married.

"My parents didn't approve of my plans to marry her but I stayed with my stance to marry Mariana. After marriage we chose to stay in the apartment on the grounds that my parents did not like Mariana. I think our marriage is fine, one day Mariana told me she was pregnant. I was so happy and happy to hear the news, thinking my parents would have loved to hear the news and would have accepted Mariana's presence as their daughter-in-law.

"Truly I feel guilty about making a decision without their consent. Because of my busy life, I have not had time to give news of Mariana's pregnancy to my parents. One day I did not find Mariana in the apartment when I came home from a business trip abroad and also could not contact a mobile phone. Decided to contact Maya and was surprised to hear Maya's words."

"What did Maya say ?" Alanna asked.

"She said Mariana was in Surabaya meeting with her lover. I was angry at Maya when I heard her say that, angry that she had slandered her own brother and cut off the phone but she kept sending me messages containing the address and name of the hotel where Mariana was staying. That night I also went to Surabaya by car, wanting to prove that Maya's words were wrong and very ironic that I got. As Maya says, I found Mariana making out with her boyfriend in a hotel room." Zack laughed bitterly reminiscing about the event.

"Then what did Mas Zack do ?"

"I was so emotional and subconsciously beat up the man, making him almost faint if only Mariana hadn't stopped me. After beating up the man, I immediately left the two of them, not expecting Mariana to catch up and force her way up and the accident happened."

"Mas Zack must have been injured in the accident. When we first met Mas Zack was injured, the wound was still the result of an accident with Mariana ?"

"Yes, I survived but was seriously injured. I was in a coma for a few days after a complicated head surgery due to a brain hemorrhage. After waking up from the coma had to undergo a long treatment that took almost two months

"I was devastated and felt guilty about Mariana's death, after being told I could get out of the Hospital I decided to be alone and chose to stay at a hotel in Surabaya although of course my parents did not agree."

"And I met Mas Zack." Alanna added.

"During Surabaya, I did not expect to be reunited with Maya. The night I touched you, the next morning Maya called me, invited me to meet. I rejected her but her insistence on saying she wanted to talk about Mariana forced me to agree to her

"She told me that Mariana was pregnant when she first met me. She is impregnated by her lover but their relationship is not approved by the Mariana family. The Marianas forced him to approach me. Our meeting at my business partner's wedding was their family's original plan. They want to save the family business that is almost bankrupt. Despite being married to me Mariana never broke up with her lover. When I was out for work there was his chance to meet his girlfriend."

"But why did Maya leak the matter to mas ?" ask Alanna wonder.

"As you've said before, Maya is interested in me, she wants to draw sympathy from me but I actually hate her. Hating him even more because he wanted to trap me by putting stimulants into my drink. Since that incident, everything related to Mariana I have lost, I also do not want to be in touch with anyone who has anything to do with that woman. The guilt and regret I have felt over Mariana's death has gone away after knowing all the truth, but again comes the guilt to you for touching you by force and making me decide to take responsibility for it."

Hearing Zack's story made Alanna realize something. "Because of this mas Zack once said that a marriage based on love does not necessarily make a marriage last ?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"But not everything ends in betrayal." Alanna convinced. "Mas can see for themselves the marriage of Mas Zack's parents who still survive. Don't they love each other too ?"

"Not everyone can be as lucky as them." Zack said grimly.

Hearing Zack's words makes Alanna not know what else to say, Zack who has been traumatized by a bitter past makes her a pessimist about it. Zack is traumatized to love someone back.

Alanna stood up feeling like there was nothing to talk about anymore. "I went to my room first, and I wanted to fill my bag with clean clothes." He walked towards his room and soon reappeared with a bag of clothes in his hand.

"Yes, mother Kasian. We've been out too long."

"All right then."

Zack just escorted Alanna to the front door of the Hospital and said she would come back at night. He had to leave now because there was still work to be done.

"Where's zack ?" I asked her when I saw Alanna alone.

"He just drove me to the front door, he had to come back because he had a job to do and said he'd be back by night." Alanna explained that she had been sitting on the sofa inside the room of the care room.

"Actually Zack what does Zack do ?" I asked Mom suddenly.

Alanna thought first before answering her mother's question. "He's one of my bosses at the hotel where I work." Alanna answered, not too detailed about Zack's work.

"O.. that's." Javan Mom.

"Mother rest, don't think much." Alanna scolds her mother.

"Yes, I know." Said Mom fixing her sleeping position.

Zack came at night as he said last day, carrying a basket of fruits.

"Not to bother so much." Mom said smiling when she saw Zack come in.

Zack gives up the fruit basket on Alanna and sits on the couch. "Eating a lot of fruit is good for the healing process. How's Mom doing now ?"

"It's better than yesterday, I hope to get out of here soon. I'm tired of lying in the hospital."

"We just hear how the doctor's advice tomorrow, if the Doctor says it's healthy means we can go home but if the Doctor says it still has to be treated means I have to be patient. You have to be really healthy and you can just go home." Alanna said to her mother.

"The bethel said, Alanna, I have to be really healthy first think about going home." Zack said he agreed with Alanna.

"Yes, I know." Mother said give up.

"Mas Zack has dinner ?" ask Alanna.

"Not yet."

"Then you go out to eat, I want to rest early too." Said Mother.

"Okay, our mother's gone first." Alanna said while taking her bag.

"We go first, Mother." Said Zack who also got up to his feet, walking out together.
