"I'll be ready to wait for you, Lexi. No need to rush. We'll do it once you're ready. The child's business can wait."
Lexi subconsciously breathed a sigh of relief. Harry didn't cancel the wedding and Harry didn't ask why either because the man must have known why. Lexi was quite grateful to Harry for the man's wise attitude. Lexi and Harry both do not want to spoil the atmosphere by remembering what happened between him and Austin.
Lexi reached out, touching the man. "Thank you" he said sincerely.
Lexi was becoming more and more convinced of her choice. He and Harry could be happy. Sure. He's suing himself.
The burden on his heart was slightly reduced. Harry understood the anxiety and was willing to wait. It's a very good first step.
"Recycle your food, we'll go home after this. You need to rest. Or do you want to visit somewhere?"
Lexi shook her head, a broad smile imprinted on her face.
"I'm a little tired. We have to go tomorrow, too."
Harry's phone rang as the man was about to reply to Lexi. Lexi gestured for Harry to pick him up.
"It's a jewelry designer. Maybe they want to confirm that our wedding ring is done."
"When you talk to him, I go to the toilet first."
Lexi immediately moved on after getting a nod of her head from Harry.
"Hi,"
Lexi hid her shock at seeing a figure that had just come out of the toilet. Olivia's.
"Hi," Lexi greeted kindly. He stepped foot, went into the toilet. Through the glances of his eyes, he saw Olivia still flinching at the door until finally decided to join him.
"When we dated?" Olivia lit a water faucet, washed her hands, her question sounded like a stale base.
Lexi raised her head, looking at Olivia from the reflection of the mirror. The woman did something similar too.
"Yes. I was dating. Watching the cinema."
Lexi didn't ask back. He did not want to prolong his conversation with Olivia. He still did not understand what was on his mind when faking death. Can't that be called a criminal act.
"With that prince?"
Damnit damnit! Olivia still wants to talk and Lexi knows there's no reason for her to ignore Olivia's question. Questions won't hurt him and answers won't hurt him either. After all, he did not want to be childish by showing his dislike to the beautiful woman.
"Yes. His name is Harry."
Olivia laughed, a forced laugh to be exact. Lexi just stared at him quietly, not contracting with the woman's laughter at all.
"I'll remember his name. I heard you and the prince are going to have a wedding?"
"It turns out you've been very senile," Lexi's circus with a flat nose. "Harry, his name is Harry. I just said it a few seconds ago. Yes, we're getting married."
"Oh, my God, I'm sorry. Yes, Harry. Hm, I'm so happy for you. For you and Harry." Olivia put both hands on her chest showing her sincerity.
"thank you. But the invitation is limited, sorry, I can't invite you."
Olivia's face turned violent before the woman finally blew her laughter.
"I don't find any reason why I should be angry about it. From then until now, Steven and I had no relationship whatsoever."
"From then on up until now you still have the same feelings for her, don't you?"
Lexi smiled for the first time. Not a cynical smile or full of pretense.
"I don't know if you really understand how I feel about Steven. But, I'll bet, my love doesn't clap one hand."
Lexi's calm demeanor and the words she delivered in a striking manner provoked Olivia's anger, her nose and flowers deflated with eyes staring giddy.
Lexi knew that her words had made Olivia angry. Indeed that was his purpose to vent his frustration to the woman. He is not sure if his love is reciprocated. If Steve felt the same way, it was one he could not believe. He would never believe Steve loved him even before all these lies were exposed. In his mind was already ingrained how the rejection that Steve had done to him.
What she told Olivia was merely to protect herself from looking too pitiful in front of the woman. Turns out she was lucky enough that Olivia was hooked.
"If you're so sure, then why did you run away by marrying another man? Is it because I'm carrying her child?"
"Because you look so pathetic, Oliv and a guy like Steve aren't my favorite people anymore. Pay attention to your health and the nutrition of your baby, because what I saw the father of your seed seemed to pay less attention to you two. Excuse me, Olive." With her heart racing, Lexi lifted her leg. His steps were wide and somehow the door felt so far away
"Wait...."
Lexi felt her hands tremble, she cursed her timid and bold self. Cheap words and nets were two words he did not want to hear.
Olivia passed by him, standing before him. Their beads clashed and Lexi suddenly felt stiff.
"Oh, sorry..." Someone exclaimed to Olivia who was blocking the entrance.
Someone who just entered it makes Lexi rediscover her strength to step back.
Lexi runs off her legs before Olivia manages to chase after her. I don't know what scared him. Was it because of her overly cruel speech or because of Olivia's overly cruel face? I don't know, all he knows is, he has to get away from that woman. Must and immediately.
Bruk!
Lexi hit the chest that was so field, she got to know this scent and got used to it. He looked up and felt relief for a moment.
"You've been a long time, so I've come to make sure" Harry said, looking at Lexi's slightly pale face.
"You okay?" Harry summed up his cheeks and as quickly as his hand landed there, Harry lowered his hand.
Lexi shook her head, "I'm just a little tired. Can we go home now?" he looked back to make sure. Turns out Olivia wasn't after him.
I don't know what he was thinking about when he was serving Olivia. Of love? Now he wants to laugh. The love between him and Steven is over. Lexi's already closed the story with the guy. There is no more love between them. They are like dead trees and rain. Is not the rain no longer useful to a dead tree?
In the past, Steve was considered dead, but still feels alive. Now, Steven's real, but it doesn't seem real to him. Although the man is the main character in the story, it does not mean he has to end up with the main character. Happy ending isn't always about a united and happy lead, is it?
"of course. Let's go home." Harry embraced it doubtfully, worried that Lexi was feeling anxious. However, her fear was futile when she saw Lexi clutching her shirt as if the girl was afraid of falling.
"You sure you're okay? We can go to the doctor if you think something's wrong."
"I just need to sleep. Everything will improve after I wake up. Believe it."
Olivia stared at their departure with a slanted smile printed on her face.
"If I can't get my happiness, you won't get anything, Lexi."
