"You're not the guy I asked to make juice for my daughter." Pax stared intensely at Steve. Stare from top to bottom and then back to Steve's bead.
"My partner is serving other guests, Mr. Willson."
Pax grinning. The upper corner of his lips slightly raised. It looks very faint.
"You know me?" Pax stared at the glass Steve had placed in front of him. Linger there, as if you can guess what content is contained in the drink. Steve was sweating, he was panicking. However, he tried to control himself to keep looking calm and his efforts were successful. Pax raises his glass up. "You made it?"
"Yes" he said briefly.
"Yes?" Pax nosedived his eyebrows. "Yes, the answer to the first or second question?"
"Give me the juice. I have to taste it first."
Steve gave the peach juice. Pax took him into his mouth. Sip slowly. Assess the taste offered by the drink. Pax nodded his head as he placed the glass on the tray. "You can give it to my daughter."
"Mrs. Willson..." Someone's call made Pax turn his head. "Well, you were present too. You even declined my invitation three times. Does it have to be a king or a president who invites you directly to attend?" Augusto Perez Sarcas.
Pax stood up to greet the man. Hands out to shake hands with the minister. "You invited me at the wrong time, Mr. Perez." Pax coded his wife through the tail to get out of the seat. Alena, who had captured the code, decided to join her daughter, Lexi, at the table next to them.
"Yes, your activities are very solid." Augusto responded to Pax.
"Sit down, we can talk. I heard you were interested in my ancestral oil refinery in Texas. Put another glass down." Pax gave an order to Steve who was about to turn around. Steve immediately put the glass on the table. Drinks that are also poisoned.
"Please sit down, Mr. Perez." Pax pulls a chair. The two were also involved in conversation. Steve immediately left his target table, approaching Lexi, the spoiled princess.
"Recurring to our business deal." Augusto raised a glass, Pax did the same. Then the two clink each other's glasses. Augusto sipped his drink, while Pax only held it in his hand.
"You don't drink?"
"I haven't enjoyed alcohol in a long time." Pax answered honestly as is. Before he married his wife, Alena, he had indeed stopped consuming the illicit drink. "Alright, Mr. Perez, I have to step down." Pax followed by Augusto. The two shake hands and Augusto suddenly loses his balance. The minister fell to Pax who was unable to hold the man's body.
"DAD!" Lexi shrieked in shock at the sight of her father who had fallen on the floor. "Oh my God, I think someone attacked you." The girl's bead was battered by tears. A breath of reflex relief came out of his mouth as soon as he saw his father was alive and well. His mother and several men removed Augusto from Pax's body. Pax immediately stood up, clearing away the dust stuck to his clothes.
"You okay?" Alena put away the dust on her husband's arm, looking at the man she loved with worry. Pax shook his head as he landed a kiss on his wife's forehead to allay the woman's worries.
The medics who were always on standby at the palace appeared to do an examination.
"What did Mr. Willson's right. Mr. Perez is dead."
There were moans and shivers of surprise from the invited guests. Augusto's death was unexpected. Many of them didn't believe it because they saw how healthy and fit Augusto was a few minutes ago. It is surprising to Augusto's close friends and relatives that for as long as they knew, Augusto Perez had no history of the heart at all.
While all focused on Augusto, Steve picked up Pax's and the minister's glasses and left. Mission complete.
Augusto was immediately taken to his family residence. The royal event continues. Pax returned to talk with King Philip and other important guests, including Gustav Milles, the US president.
"Augusto is my friend. As far as I know, he's a man who cares a lot about health."
"Death does not look healthy or sick, Mr. President." Pax answered wisely. "Maybe tomorrow is your turn, Mr. Milles," he added, who immediately got a fierce look from the president.

"I'm at the royal palace, Mother." Lexi secluded herself to the palace garden. There is a pool with water that is destroyed from a statue of a pair of cupids. Lexi was tempted to see the clarity of the water. He also took off his shoes, sat by the pool and buried his feet in the pool. "The country is very beautiful and magnificent. Some rooms are actually open to the public, someday if I already have income, I'll bring mom and dad to visit here."
Daphne who was across the phone nodded her head. The woman smiled a simple smile. "Is the show over?"
Lexi shook her head, "No, I just came out for a minute to call you. Do you miss me, Mother?"
Daphne again and again laughed, "Of course. It's been two days we haven't met. Did you enjoy the show?"
"Yes, that's it, Mother. Prince Harry asked me to dance. He's a gentle and caring young man."
"It must be very handsome."
Lexi's speechless. His face was suddenly grim, implied by the sadness there. However, within seconds the mimicry changed again. "My father is still the best, Mother. Nothing beats its charm." Lexi showed off her rows of white teeth. "I miss him, Mother. Missed your son."
Steve, who was watching Lexi from earlier, was stunned to hear the girl's words. He saw Lexi lowered her head, wiping the puddles of tears that fell down her cheeks.
"It's been almost four months. I can't accept that fact yet. I really miss him a lot. I wish he came into my dreams. But apparently, Steve was reluctant to approach me even in dreamland. Oh, Mom, I'm sorry," Lexi groaned to see the mother of the young man she loved crying. "I didn't mean to make her sad. It's just that I can't express my feelings to anyone other than in front of you. This miss really torments me, Mom. Tell me what to do when the only cure for longing is to meet." Yes, there is no cure that is most effective to relieve longing other than by meeting. Something that was impossible for Lexi and Daphne to think Steve was dead.
"Lexi, please, forget everything, dear. Live with happiness. Give yourself a chance. You deserve to be happy. Steve's not a good young man for you, honey. Trust me, there will be men who will fight desperately for you."
"If I could read the life scenario first, Mother. Then I'll erase the story that Steve and I don't have to tell."
Steve grinned cynically. The mask that hides his real face. "Humans can only dream, but in the end, the world has reality. The fact that your father is the one responsible for what I'm going through."
