It didn't take long for Steve to get upstairs. He broke down the door, his forehead shriveling slightly implying disappointment when he found no one there other than a spacious room. He was just about to leave the room when his ears caught an indistinct murmur.
Steve stepped slowly, crossing the room. His reflexes breathed a sigh of relief as soon as his eyes caught Lexi's toes. Steve smoothed his way closer to the girl. His heart instantly dented seeing the state of Lexi who was so deeply shaken and depressed.
The girl raved, uttering obscure words that actually made her condition look even more miserable.
"S-Ste... Steven...."
Steve smiled as the girl muttered his name. He squatted in front of Lexi. I wanted to pull the girl into her arms. But he held back.
"Yes, I'm here. Don't be afraid."
Slowly the girl's head lifted, instantly Lexi's cry broke as their beads clashed.
"I'm here" Steve said that. Lexi instantly threw herself into the man's arms, blurting out her cries hysterically. Steve reached out his hand, returning the girl's embrace, gently rubbing the back.
"How dare you touch her?!"
Steve and Lexi were surprised, they compactly turned their heads. Arthur flashed a murderous look at Steve the man replied ten times sharper.
"Stop that guy!" Arthur gave the order and dozens of men entered. Steve straightened his firearm, popping its contents blindly while one hand held Lexi, hiding the girl's face into his chest. He could feel if Lexi's body trembled in fear.
Damnit damnit! Bullet's out. Inevitably he was forced to release Lexi. The man pulled out his dagger and threw it at the closest target. Right on target, the dagger stuck in the chest making the terget down along with his weapon. Steve immediately grabbed the man's rifle and went back to attack. Beth and Austin were already there, helping her. However, things got even more chaotic when suddenly Riston appeared.
Steve's focus is distracted. His heart was beating erratically. His embrace fell, a sickening disgust smashing into his memory as the man grinned towards him and looked at him meaningfully.
Arthur realizes the trauma the man has experienced. Immediately uttered the words that made Steve feel humiliated for a moment.
"Don't you want to reminisce about Steve with Riston. You and him had such a sweet story in prison, didn't you?"
"How does Riston feel? Is Steve so smart and expert?"
Riston nodded, "Until now I can even still feel her mouth in mine."
Hearing that, Steve felt his body go limp in that very second, he shivered and became nauseous instantly. Steve spewed out his stomach. An overwhelming sense of dizziness attacked him. His sight began to blur. Austin and Beth couldn't hear anymore.
"Steve's! Be aware!"
Things get worse as Arthur's men get more and more endless. Thankfully, Darren and Harry arrived. Attacking Arthur and his men through the air. No one realizes that Olivia slipped in the middle of the mess, took Lexi's mind and led her away from there.
Steve finally calmed down, limp and almost fainted. Arthur scooped up his collar, forcing the man to stand up and look at him.
"A disgusting man like you doesn't deserve Lexi. Don't be a big head, Steven Percy. You're nothing more than a despicable man who's very dirty and disgusting. Riston wants you again. Looks like you're really good at playing your mouth." Arthur grinned with satisfaction at Steve's face that was turning pale and sweaty.
Bugh!
Austin hits Arthur on the back with the tip of his gun and then takes over Steve who is already limp on the floor.
While Austin is busy with Steve, Arthur seizes the opportunity to escape. Their time was less than two hours before the country was flattened to the ground. He also has to find Lexi. The girl should go with him. Whatever the way.
Austin pulled Steve, then threw a fist into the man's face.
Steve finally came to his senses, "Good punch," his comment lightly as he felt the blood in his mouth. He turned to the place where he left Lexi.
"Where's Lexi?"
"I don't know."
Suddenly a familiar voice sounded. The two men were compact in looking for the origin of the sound. Sounds that sound like an alarm.
"BOOM!!" The two simultaneously exclaimed and each jumped for cover.
Duuaarr!!!
Explosion sounded. Steve and Austin were thrown in different directions and were hit by the ruins of the building. Arthur wants to play fast.
Steve gets up, runs to the window and sees Arthur trying to escape, waiting for a heli to pick him up.
Steve was about to jump outside when a bullet passed through his head. He turned around, finding some terrorists back in to attack.
"I saved your head, Dude." Austin exclaims.
"Thanks" he said, pointing his gun and shooting at all the assailants.
The door! The door!
Steve and Austin are quite overwhelmed by the seemingly endless terrorists.
"I'm out of ammo" Austin, who was sheltering behind a table, exclaimed, pointing out their weakness. The terrorists grinned triumphantly.
Steve checked his weapon, he also only had two bullets left. He threw the gun at Austin.
When the terrorists attacked him, Steve got down, taking cover from the blind shot. He rolled back to pick up the lying dagger and threw it at the enemy. The man fell down, with a quick movement, Steve climbed on top of the man's body then pointed the man's weapon towards his partner.
Three he managed to crash, and the bullet ran out again. Steve grabbed the head of the man he was sitting on, and turned his head to make a sound. The tech! The man died with a broken neck.
The enemy continues to emerge. Austin blurted out mockery and profanity. He stood up, beating one of them. Kick him to fall down and then shoot the others who want to attack him from behind. The man died with a bullet through his face.
The man Austin kicked, crawling to get a gun. Austin stepped on his hand and kicked the gun away. Then, mercilessly, he dragged the man with Steve's knife. The man screamed in pain and died with his neck almost severed.
"I'm going after Arthur" he told Austin, glancing at the performance of his former sister-in-law.
"You're so mean" Steve lightly commented.
"I had to," Austin aimed indifferently at the shoulder.
"Damn!!" Steve cursed when he saw Arthur managed to climb into a helicopter. The man flashed a triumphant smile while dropping a small boom the size of a billiard ball.
"Shield!!" He shouted to Austin for orders. Both were trapped in the building.
