"You didn't bring your debt?"
Pax rebukes Steve as the young man crosses in front of him and pretends not to turn his head towards him. Youth is less moral indeed!
Steve turned his head with a proud gesture that was deliberately made to make Pax snort amusedly.
"You talking to me, Pax Willson?"
"He thinks I'm his friend playing marbles," Pax muttered and whispered something into his wife's ear to leave them.
Alena obediently left immediately. It just so happens that Lexi will also change her clothes with a more relaxed one. Dresses with long tails will be a little difficult during the dance later.
"Where are Lexi and Mrs. Willson?" Steve asked as his tail saw the mother and child climbing the stairs.
"Changing clothes. The dance will begin."
"Hm."
"I don't see Mr. and Mrs. Percy's."
"I sent them to another part of the world. If you miss them, their email doesn't change at all."
"I'll call them later."
Steve is no longer chiming. Discussion over. But none of the men left. The two stared at each other with an unreadable mimic.
According to Pax's view, Steve was too quiet for the size of a heartbroken man. Pax was once in the position that Steven feels at the moment. And it feels like asking for mercy. Pax chose to lose his memory rather than endure his pain.
It was as if he was seeing himself. Steve is crazier than him. The man never gave up his ending in the hands of the universe after the agony he endured. Pax is very sure of that. Only, he could not guess what the man's plan was.
Previously, he was ready with the possibility if the bride will disappear or the groom is suddenly injured. However, none of his guesses happened. Even as Harry and Lexi make their vows, Pax is more interested in glancing at Steve. In fact, the man ignored what happened. A really hard man to guess. Pax can no longer stand the prejudices that lie in his brain.
"So what are you planning?" He asked without warning.
Steve swooped down next to his brow, "Plan?"
"Don't do a sudden wise heartbroken man, Buddy."
"I don't understand what you mean, Pax Willson."
"Yes, you clearly understand."
"Not everyone is as petty as you."
"Hmm," Pax nodded. "You're right, but you're not someone who doesn't belong to the insular."
"Didnuts!" Steve snorted with cynical riveting lips. "You liken me to you."
Pax is aiming for the shoulder.
Steve rubbed his chin which began to be overgrown with fine mines. He seems to be thinking hard. Again and again it just works.
"For a moment I thought I wanted to be the Hulk."
"Why Hulk. Why not Iron Man?"
"Does that matter?" Steve hissing cynically.
"I feel like Iron Man suits you better."
"The same fits with you that resembles Thanos."
Pax's laughter almost exploded. Steve really wholeheartedly hated himself. And what are they talking about right now in the middle of this precarious situation.
"What are you planning, young man?"
"If I had a plan, would you think I'd share it with you?"
Pax really could not guess the contents of the young man's mind before him. He was so confident in his instincts that Steve had prepared a plan to let Lexi make a choice. What kind of plan Steve was preparing until he refrained from allowing the woman he loved to pledge the sacred vow. Certainly not a fool-proof plan.
Duuarr!!!
Everyone's surprised. Including Pax and Steven. Attention is all distracted by the sound of an explosion that is not too big.
"This is your plan?" Pax filed a complaint.
"Blow up fireworks? It's too late to play fireworks. After all, enlivening the marriage of the woman I love is not on my list of plans."
"That's not fireworks," Pax stepped quickly to look outside. Steve walked in from behind. Sure enough, there was a commotion out there. Gunfire broke out between the bodyguards and several men with headgear.
"Terrorists?" Both mumble.
"Lexi," the two again screeched and ran towards the floor of the room.
"Oh, Shit!!" Again and again both exclaimed compactly as bullets blindly attacked them. Steve was forced to take refuge because he did not have any weapons.
The invited guests started running around, screams of panic were heard. Some have even been lying lifeless due to bullets fired not necessarily direction. The situation is increasingly not conducive when the reporters who had been covering the sacred event changed course covering this chaos. It seems like the mansion is already surrounded.
Pax and Steve throw glances at each other. It felt like Steve had made a mockery to the man because of his weapon taken by one of Willson's bodyguards while passing through the examination line.
Pax pulled a gun out from behind his suit. In the room were at least five masked men. It took at least five bullets to subvert the terrorists, that's also if the shots were on target.
Pax checked his ammunition, which turned out to be only two bullets left.
There was no choice, he had to make the best use of his bullets. Pax shoots at the table where Steve is taking shelter, making the man spontaneously swearing.
The terrorists' attention was distracted, with the terrorists' rapid pace approaching to check. Steve was ready to push the table when Pax fired his bullet back right into the heart of the terrorists until it fell in an instant.
Not wasting the opportunity, Steve rolled over from his hiding place and took the man's weapon. Nimble Steve shot a shot when the fellow terrorists attacked in close range.
Two out of five terrorists were killed. Steve immediately stood up and Pax came out of hiding.
The three remaining terrorists, attacked them. Steve shot without stopping, he continued forward.
Bukh!
He hit one of the noses. Grab a gun and give it to Pax. They both target the target. Steve shoots in the face and Pax shoots back in the heart.
All five terrorists were killed in a short time.
"I'll check on Lexi,"
Pax nodded. Before Steve could climb the stairs. Someone from upstairs came to block him.
"We're surrounded. They deliberately overwhelmed us, "Pax assumed once dozens of people attacked them again.
Steve confirmed what Pax said. It means they've been noticed since.
"What's your problem with them?" steve asked in the middle of the attack they got.
The door!!
Pax shoots the man who intends to attack Steve from behind.
"The Devils, terrorists under the leadership of Gerald Deville. One who will be the leader must be a direct descendant of Deville. That's the written rule. Even though their leader was gone, the rules continued. They idolized Gerald very much, thinking the man was a hero. Death made his proteges angry and would continue the man's mission. They must have leaders. Their members are still scattered everywhere. Darren and Lexi are the remaining lineages."
Steve begins to understand why Willson is always at odds with the government. They are suspected to be the cause of this chaos, refusing to give Lexi and Darren to terrorists who always pose a threat.
"Darren isn't stupid enough to be fooled," Steve muttered. "That means they need Lexi to marry. Don't tell me if my assumptions are correct, Pax Willson!"
"The reason why I want Lexi's best friend is stronger than Willson, Son. Honey, you've given up."
