How's How?

"Finally there!" Lexi exclaimed in excitement. "Dad, Mom, let's go in!" He pulls Percy's husband and wife's second hand. Yeah, Lexi went on vacation with her foster parents. The place they chose, precisely what Lexi chose was the Virginia coast. Lexi decided to stay in her country. Still want to stand under the same sky as his ghost lover. Oh, my God, that's ridiculous. God damn you, Steve!

"Dad, don't you really like fishing. Here you can fish. I will not interfere with your time because we will also be busy sunbathing, surfing and boat riding. But, for now, let's take a break. I'm so tired. Room is on the second floor. Mom and Dad, choose a room that makes you feel comfortable. Enjoy this moment and let's just say you're on your honeymoon. I won't bother."

Percy's husband and wife laughed at Lexi's statement that deliberately teased them. "How's the wound on your eel?" Ask Mrs. Percy's. His fingers touched the bump that had started to deflate, only his bruise still looked blue. "Mom's still confused, why did you cross the street before the red light came on. I can't imagine if anything bad happened to you."

"I don't know. But that's the way things are, they always come suddenly. Don't you, Dad?" Lexi nudged Mr. Percy's. Just like Mrs. Percy, the man also looked worried. For both of them, Lexi they already thought of as their real daughter. Lexi's their solace.

"You're always being wise. But remember, you should always be careful. Many will be hurt if you get hurt. I noticed, along the way you look moody too. Do you have a problem?"

Lexi shook her head, ashamed to admit that she had just broken her heart. He has not shared his story with his parents. There was another Steven, still he kept his whereabouts from them.

"No, Dad. I don't have a problem. I'm just sad that I have to leave your son. We left it for an unspecified time. I'm afraid she's lonely and..."

"He's the one who left us, son. Relieve, please and forget him."

Lexi flinched hearing an unexpected answer from Mr. Percy's. The statement slapped him hard.

"Dad..."

"Until when are you shackled by feelings that will never be reciprocated. At your age, you should have married a man who loved you and had cute children. Mr and Mrs. Willson would have wanted something similar to what we wanted. We want to see you happy. As we live, we also want to see our grandchildren born and growing. Steve will not live. Let go of all your feelings towards her. Forget him, son."

Lexi's face looked grim and sad. "Dad, how can you say that? Have you forgotten Steve? Is Steve not alive in your heart anymore? You don't miss him anymore?" Unknowingly her tears were shed. "I want to do as you say, Dad. But here..." Lexi held her chest. "He's still alive. Forever will always live. Every time I miss him. I also don't know what magic he's given me. When he was around, he always stayed away from me and even rejected me repeatedly. All I have to do is hate him. But what happened was that I was getting excited. That's the heart, that's love. Always crazy and uncontrolled. And after he's gone for good, he has taken with him almost my whole heart. If you ask me to forget it, I really want to do it. But what I found, I couldn't afford, Dad," he smiled bitterly. "The wise man says that he does not know what and when exactly he is in love with someone, but he knows when to stop loving that person. Unfortunately, I'm not a wise man, Dad. I'm just a weak girl enslaved by such a great sense towards your son" she said in a poignant tone. "If I knew how to break free, believe me, Dad, I'd go that way."

"I'm going to the room to rest. We'll meet at dinner." He walked up the stairs.

"What did you say?!" Snapped Daphne as soon as Lexi was out of sight. "You made him sad!" She hit her husband's arm in annoyance. "If you realize that he is moody and sad, all you have to do is comfort him. Not adding to the burden of sadness. Discussing our deceased son will only make his mood worse."

"I just want the best for him. Until when he overshadowed Steven and took care of all our needs. It was time for Lexi to think about her happiness. I feel bad for Mr. and Mrs.Willson. They'd want Lexi to get married. Have you not seen that many proposals have come to him from great men. If Steven were alive, I would be so proud and flattered that Lexi's heart and vision would only be linked to Steven. But look at the truth, Daphne! Steve is gone. We're old, our lives won't be long. So did Mr. and Mrs. Willson's. If Lexi continues to be alone, I dare not imagine what her life would be like. Who will protect and protect him. He cares so much for those around him that he forgets how to enjoy his own life."

What her husband said was true. But Givano shouldn't have said that frontally. Lexi has a soft but fragile and sensitive heart.

"We can only wish him all the best. God's plan must be more beautiful than our expectations." Daphne rubbed her husband's arm before leaving. "I hope at dinner, you don't talk about it anymore. Lexi will also act like there was never this discussion. So I hope we enjoy this holiday in safety and peace."

"I'm sorry. I ruined this holiday in the early minutes." Givano looked sorry. Her good intentions offended Lexi.

Daphne just sighed. He soon moved up, up the stairs. What else could he do? Everything is already over.

Unbeknownst to them, there was Steve who heard their conversation. The man heard everything. Including what Lexi said. This shouldn't come as a surprise to him given how much Lexi adores him. But, in fact, he was still shocked, even shaken. Somehow Lexi's reaction when she learns that what she considers dead is alive and in good health, nothing less. Unfortunately, that man was the same man that had made his heart hurt again.

"Who's there?"

Steve was shocked to hear his father's voice. He soon moved on before his father saw his whereabouts.
