"What did the doctor say?"

"There's nothing to worry about, Dad. Your son is fine." Austin answered her father's question.

"You okay?" Pax embraced Isabell who was standing next to the middle-aged man. "I heard you drowned too."

"I'm fine, Uncle. Austin massaged my legs well. I don't know if Austin has the skills of a masseuse."

"Oh yeah?" Pax nosedived his eyebrows, looking at his youngest son with a look of disdain. "When I need a massage, he's always looking for a million reasons."

"You're a man and your body starts to wrinkle, Dad. My skills work for certain humans." Holy hooch! The child has no morals!

"Specific humans? Do you mean a sweet young girl like Isabell?"

"You know me so well" Austin flung a fist into his father's arm and forcibly removed his father's hand from Isabell's shoulder.

The door opened again, Alena and Lexi entered the room. Steve stood up to greet his wife. Guided his beloved wife to sit on the sofa.

"Have you met our baby?" Steve rubbed his wife's stomach still flat. Yeah, well, since they're in the hospital, Steve asked Lexi to get her checked out.

"Yes, it's still a black dot. Looks adorable."

Steve chuckled, how could a point look adorable.

"Look," Lexi gave him a photo of the ultrasound that the doctor had given him.

"Where's our baby?"

"In my stomach."

"So, what's this photo?"

"Photo of our baby?"

"I don't see any babies."

"This black dot is our baby. Funny, no?"

"Where's the funny thing?" Steve asked innocently who immediately got an annoyed delicacy from his wife.

"And what is this writing?" Steve who has not realized the reaction of his wife again questioned the writing of the code in the photo of the USG results.

"That's information about our baby. You're such a bitch! Never mind, you went home alone to Savannah. I'll be here with my family!"

Well, that's right. Lexi's acting again. Steve cleared his throat, he raised his head and found several pairs of eyes were staring at them.

"I just couldn't see the cuteness in our baby pictures" she said in a frustrated tone.

Pax grimaced, knowing exactly what Steve was feeling, but he vowed never to defend his son-in-law. He better shut up and watch this drama.

"He doesn't love me anymore. She doesn't love our baby" Lexi won't lose. He also complained his complaint.

"You're the one who doesn't love me, Lexi."

"You're accusing me?!"

"You doubt me. I'm not accusing you."

"You're arguing with me?"

"No, how dare I." Steve pulled Lexi's hand for her to hold. "I know that our baby must be very cute, just like you. It's just, I can't see the cuteness in this photo, honey. My fantasy is not there. But for God's sake, I believe that a baby born from your womb is the cutest and adorable baby in the world. Trust me."

"Oh, Steven." Lexi was destroyed instantly. She brought her husband's hand to her mouth. He kissed her repeatedly. Much as. "But I want our baby to look like you."

"Our baby will look just like me and funny like you."

"Geez! I can't wait to see it. When will my baby be born?"

"Eight months left. We'll meet our baby. You're coming home with me, honey?"

"I can't see you suffer. You should be happy with me. We'll stay at Daddy's until I give birth. How's it?"

"That's not staying, dear Lexi. That's called moving."

"What if we had better ignore them. Suddenly I wanted to kick them both to Antarctica," Austin's circus was really amused to see the couple. He thought his father and mother were the most ridiculous. It turns out Steve and Lexi are the most ridiculous. Every minute of arguing and in the next minute making out as if the kasmaran were just the two of them.

"What's wrong with your head? Did the pain get there? Is your head hurt? Did the doctor check it? It's possible that your head hit the fall earlier and maybe the doctor forgot to examine it. I'll call the doctor."

All gasped confusedly at Isabell's reaction to Darren's deception seriously.

"So I was just kidding. But right now, my head really hurts to digest your words."

"So your head hurts or not?"

"My head will heal if you stop babbling and Lexi and her husband stop making out in front of me."

"It looks like we're being evicted, Steven," Lexi hugged her husband, sniffing at him like a Chihuahua.

"Stop, Lexi. If you're like this, it's not just Darren who kicked us out. Your father's ready to kick me, Lexi. Before that happens, we better get going. Save your husband."

"Alright, I'm bored here, too. I need a soft room."

"The scene is not to be imitated, Isabell," Alena finally made a sound by holding back the growl. I don't know who to blame. Stevenkah or Lexi's daughter turned 360 degrees.

"If you want to be like them, you have to get married" Austin nudged Isabell's shoulder. The girl's face immediately met red.

___

"Good morning,"

Darren flashed a glance across the room. There was no one there but the two of them.

"Good morning" he said to Isabell.

"Mom and Dad came home last night while you were asleep. Austin just got out. Maybe to buy food. How's your condition?"

"Good."

"No complaints?"

"No."

"Dizziness?"

"No."

"Furly-blind?"

"No."

"A belly wrapped around?"

"No."

"Nausea?"

"No. I'm not catching a cold, Isabell. Are you switching professions to become a nurse?"

"I just want to make sure you're okay."

"I'm doing fine. Sit down, I have something to ask you."

Isabell obeyed Darren's orders.

"Have you had breakfast?"

"Yet. Austin might buy me breakfast. What do you want to ask?"

"Why are you shaking when you hear gunshots? You clearly realize there's danger. You cover both your ears, what's going on?"

Yesterday Isabell was busy calming himself down. Guess no one was aware of the shock he was experiencing. How can Darren realize that when he's busy protecting everyone.

"I'm..." Isabell was confused as to what to answer. Because he himself was not sure of the reason. If it was because of the punishment he endured as a child in the darkroom, he would not have told anyone. That's too depressing. He just doesn't want to remember it.

"Have you ever been in danger like this before?"

Isabell shook his head strongly, he was sure of it. He has never experienced anything like this.

"I'm never in danger."

"You sure?"

Isabell nodded his head. "I'm always in the palace, never going anywhere."

"Never get hurt" Darren pinta deeply and meaningfully.
