Everything gathered in silence in the middle of the mansion that was still in disarray. Many civilians were left lifeless. Willson's bodyguards were also only a few people left.
Some points of the mansion have been given police lines. Local police discussed each other, writing down something on their records that Steve and the others thought was a waste. Obviously they said they were attacked by a group of terrorists, but the police questioned why and what happened repeatedly.
Not only the local police, FBI agents who usually work with Willson also intervened, asking questions that were not much different from what the police had questioned, they said this was very nauseating.
They are grieving, upset and disorganized, many questions will only provoke their anger.
"So you mean, the Devils are still around? It's a little confusing, Mr. Willson's. As I recall, you yourself said that the group was wiped out. Why did the name reappear now?" Mr. Doukins, one of the FBI agents.
"And this," the potbellied man put down a weapon with a logo stating that the weapon belonged to Willson. "This weapon was found next to the former president's body. Can you explain this? And I don't see your youngest son here."
"He's out of town." Steve answered that question. Mr. Doukins turned his head towards him, the two of them sharply sat at each other.
"Who are you?"
"Steven Percy."
"Ah, Steven Percy." The man was a beard. "Mrs. Geonandes said before the attack, you warned him not to be negligent as if you knew it was going to happen."
"You mean, Harry accused me of this assault?"
Mr. Doukins shook his head, "He just said what he remembered before the commotion. Your words are a little ambiguous. And everything that's cryptic is worth asking."
"If you're saying I'm the brains behind all this, why do you think I'm still sitting here."
The man pulled something out from behind his suit. A book that made Steve change his face. "Here are the names that are currently disappearing, including Brian Milles, Vincent Trey, Dean Jacob and Fread Brown. And Willson's name is written on it, too."
Steve snorted, "The book doesn't mean anything."
"CCTV caught your presence at the police station when Vincent Trey disappeared from the detention house as well as Isla Ginevra."
"Are you accusing me?!"
"Proof direction to you!"
"Are you blind or aren't you following the latest news, Doukins? Vincent Trey, Dean Jacob clearly admit their mistakes live, Brian and Fread are included in their dirty act."
"They're under pressure."
"And I'm not the one who did that."
"You were made a scapegoat in a case 13 years ago. Enough as a reason why it is important for you to eliminate them one by one. Revenge."
Steve stood up, scooping the man's collar. Pushing him against the wall and pinning the man's neck with his arms until the agent's face turned red due to breathing difficulties.
"Do you have any proof that I killed them? Did you find the body?"
Some of Mr. Doukins' associates came forward and pulled Steve away from the potbellied man. The two of them threw sharp gazes at each other.
"Take me off!" Gusar pushed the two men who were holding his hand. "What the fuck? A girl is being kidnapped by a group of terrorists and you are actually interrogating me about the bastards who deserve punishment. 13 years ago the government and law enforcement made a big mistake by scapegoating me, do you want to do the same? Not ashamed of your misfortune that you can't completely tease it?!"
"Listen, Doukins, I don't care if you want to arrest me, accuse me or anything, but I want Lexi found immediately!"
Athur really cannot be looked at one eye. The Mircrochip he planted on Lexi's body couldn't trace the girl's whereabouts at all. This made him even more upset.
"You can't give us orders. If you feel scapegoated, you shouldn't fake your death. Remember, faking a death is the same as a crime."
"Oh my God, they really want to corner me! Can you explain something to them?" Steve asked for help to Pax who from just now just silently watched.
"Mrs. Doukins," Pax stood up from his chair. "This problem..." The sentence was hanging because the agent raised his hand.
"You also disappointed us quite a bit, Mr. Willson's. You're hiding the fact that your daughter is a lineage of terrorists that's making things even more chaotic. Your son is the prime suspect in the death of the former president. What was the purpose of your son eliminating him?"
"Ciiih!" Steve grunts. He took the man's gun and shot the body. Then he threw the weapon.
"It's this easy, should I teach you, agent shit!"
"Are you swearing? Tell us a bunch of fools?"
"The fact is so." Steve gave a mocking smile.
"Austin Willson's fingerprints were found there."
"Your fingerprints were also found on the weapon" Steven alleged, pointing to the agent's weapon lying on the floor. "You killed him?"
"You insulted me?!" Fierce Mr. Doukin.
"Your gun is there" said Steve. "You want to accuse me just because my fingerprints are there, too, Doukins? You obviously know it wasn't me who killed the body" he later added.
It felt like Steve was screaming for Arthur to be arrested immediately. But this will not be interesting, the man must also already have a myriad of plans. He himself will kill the man.
"For the time being, your movements will be watched by Mr. Willson's. You guys can't go anywhere. Your son is also on the search. He's the one who should explain, not you, Mr. Percy's."
"And for you, on Vincent Trey's account, also for your indecision to trick the local police, you're under arrest." Mr. Doukins gestures to his partner to handcuff Steve's hand.
