Trust me

Finally that day arrived. The day that Lexi will make a promise to live on with Harry, her man of choice. Willson's house looks very busy. The magnificent mansion is even more amazing after being decorated like a king's palace in fairy tales and the good news, Lexi is indeed a princess in real life. The princess who was pampered and loved wholeheartedly by her family and now the title of princess in the real sense will be embedded in her after Harry and himself said a sacred promise.

The weather is so beautiful and supportive, as if the universe really blesses this marriage.

The mansion gate opened wide, inviting guests in to witness this happy day. Supervision is strictly carried out. Each guest must pass three lines of inspection.

Lexi was being dressed in her room, as was her mother, Alena.

Since two hours ago Alena did not stop shedding tears, making the woman who dressed her a little hassle. But who would dare protest? They've been paid dearly.

"Mom, stop crying," Lexi persuaded for the umpteenth time. They sat side by side with hands clasping each other.

"The tears won't stop" Alena looked up, preventing the crystal from decaying into her face.

"I'm only married, not to go forever."

Alena nodded confirming her daughter's remark. He should be happy, right? Harry's a good guy. Everybody acknowledges it. Alena herself wondered what this cry meant? Why does it feel so hard to let Lexi go. His heart throbbed as if Lexi would be snatched from him for all eternity.

Yes, it is true that a mother will feel sad when driving her daughter to the wedding altar. But the sadness is usually mixed with haru also relieved to have found the desired partner. Alena doesn't feel that way. He believed in Harry, but the fear was so real he felt.

"You're gonna call Mommy every day?"

"of course. I'll call Mommy at least three times a day. Cease crying. It's my happy day."

"You're really happy?"

"Mom, happy is what we create. Isn't that what you and Daddy always say. I'm trying to create my happiness with Harry."

"Mom and Daddy will feel like a failure if you're not happy."

"And I won't make you feel that way. You and Daddy are the greatest parents. I don't know what I would be without you and Daddy. Maybe I've never said this before, Mom, but I really feel grateful to be in the middle of this family, to be a part of Willson. Of the many gifts God has given me, you are one of the most beautiful gifts, Mom. I remember how our first meeting was. You were catching fish when the mother of the other children was cooking and gossiping. I also remember when you made provisions for the first time for me. When I remember that now, my heart is still pounding warmly, I can still feel it." Lexi paused her speech to bring her mother's hand to her heart which was roaring incoherently. His voice choked, restraining the emotions raging in light of those times.

"I'm afraid to imagine that Daddy would be interested in another woman. I'm afraid Daddy will ignore me. But the opposite happened, I fell in love with you the first time I saw you at that camp, Mom. To this day, my love for you has not diminished in the least. Nothing can destroy my love for this family. I am lucky to be part of this family. You love me more than your two sons. You pay more attention to me and you spend more nights with me just reading fairy tales my mother never did. So, please, Mom please stop crying. I don't like to see you cry."

The two embraced each other. Lexi did not hold back her cries anymore. He also blew it all.

"Mommy loves you so much, baby. Please promise me you'll be happy."

Lexi nodded her head, "I'll be happy, Mom."

"Oh, Mom, you're the greatest mom."

"You're my amazing daughter." Alena parses their arms and gives a burst of kisses all over Lexi's face.

"What's going on here?"

Pax's voice caught their attention. The two women looked towards the door. Pax stood in the doorway, looking very charming in a tuxedo suit.

"Your husband still looks awesome at his ripe age, Mom."

"That's what makes Mom crazy."

"Ouh, I envy your passionate desire every day."

"My wife and daughter are gossiping about me." Pax stared at Lexi in a wedding dress. Lexi looks so beautiful, awesome.

"remarkable. You're so amazing" Pax reached out his daughter's cheek to land a kiss on Lexi's forehead. The kiss lasted long enough. Neither Pax nor Lexi closed their eyes.

Slowly Pax released his kiss, looking up to ward off the tears that had piled up.

"You're the most beautiful bride I've ever seen after your Mommy, my dear." His voice was stuck in his throat. He wants Lexi to get married so that someone will take care of her. But as soon as this day came, it was still difficult for him to believe that he would lead his daughter and hand her over to another man.

"Dad..." Lexi instantly dropped herself into her father's arms. The crying broke again.

"You may never know how happy Daddy is with your presence in this world. Daddy was the first to hug you. Carrying your red little body with both hands. Daddy is so grateful for your presence and proud that you are living right and amazing. You're my soul mate, so hurt if you're hurt. But it seems Daddy is the one who actually gives a deep wound in your heart. Can you forgive your bad Daddy, honey?"

"Dad..." Lexi shook her head. "You're not wrong. I know how you put my happiness above everything else. How bad I would be to blame you. There's nothing wrong. Don't ever apologize, Dad." Lexi clasped her father's hands and then gave kisses on both palms of her father.

"It is this hand that always rubs my back when I cannot sleep. I brush my hair when I am awake. Giving me a magic massage when I'm sick. You didn't sleep just because I had a not-so-severe flu. Besides taking care of me, you also have to take care of Luna's mother, protecting me from her anger. You sacrificed a lot for me and how can you apologize to me, Dad?"

"Tell me if this isn't an escape because the disappointment you're feeling is too deep. We can cancel, honey."

"No, Dad. I love Harry, and Harry loves me. Harry and I will live happily like you and Mommy."

"Lexi darling..."

"Believe me. I mean it with my choice."
