"I'm glad your memory is restored."

Steve finally broke the silence that lasted more than five minutes. The longest five minutes of his life. Steve is also grateful, Lexi kicked Austin and Beth out. They both need to talk without interruption.

He was standing in the corner of the room, right by the window. Lexi sat on the edge of the bed. The bed is proof of their wildness. Why do they have to go back to their room?Very dangerous location according to Steve.

Uh! Finally he remembered why they had returned to the room. Austin refused to be expelled. The man insisted on staying there. Finally Lexi pulled Steve's hand up to the second floor and locked themselves in here, in the room.

Steve was misbehaving, Lexi did not respond to his words. All the girl did was look at her face intensely. Unable to bear the gaze Lexi cast, she immediately turned her face away. Staring at the beach, just a few seconds back, Lexi was still looking at her, crossing her legs.

"Ehhmm," Steve rubbed his nape. Knowing that his actions only showed his nervousness, he intended to hide both hands in his pants pocket, unfortunately, he was wearing pajamas that did not have pockets.

"Say something." Jeez, he felt blown away when he heard his own nervousness.

"As I said earlier, I won't apologize."

"I don't expect any apologies from you."

Reflex, Steve breathed a sigh of relief hearing Lexi open her voice.

"Then, what did you expect?"

Lexi's back on her feet. He was also surprised by everything. Event after event seemed to be playing before his eyes. How he got into an accident, he remembered everything. His eyes glanced towards the glasses as well as the phone placed on the table. Then he looked at Steve with a long breath. The man turned out to be just as crazy as him. Crazy about loving. Now, what should they do?

Exactly what should he do? Lexi is aware that Steve will never be replaced by anyone. Even when he lost his memory, his heart still admired Steve, still adoring the man. But the world has reality. She was someone's wife.

"I have to go back."

Steve remained silent. Steve had prepared this from the beginning. From the beginning he had predicted this day would come. But hearing straight from Lexi's mouth that the girl was leaving still hurt.

"Oh, yeah." What else does he have to say. They both understood their situation and situation.

"I'm going home with Austin."

"of course. You all right? I mean, physically. Your head hurts?"

Lexi shook her head, she indeed felt nothing but her heart that was timidly uncontrollable. The shadow of what they were doing in the bed made his body burn with heat.

"I'm doing fine. I'm sorry."

"Sorry for what?"

"I'm sorry for seducing you."

"Without you seducing me, I'm tempted too."

Both are compact. A very dangerous topic. They both lowered their heads in shame.

"Is there anything you still want to say? I'm afraid your brother went up and broke down the door."

Lexi almost smiled. The blow that Austin delivered was not kidding.

"We'd better get down."

"Yes, you're right."

The two soon go down to meet Austin and Beth. Austin stood up as soon as he saw their presence. The man came over, panned Steve from top to bottom and focused on the part of the body below Steve's hip.

Steve clucked, he passed Austin and accidentally nudged the man's shoulder.

"Your head could too. How can you hide a wife from a prince?" Beth greeted him with a very sweet satire, to the point that Steve was tempted to kick his friend's ass.

"Stop this madness, Dude. I've suggested you kidnap her before she bears the status of wife. But now your actions cannot be justified. You're no longer helped. Ck! Pathetic."

"I'm not asking for help" Steve responded lazily.

"Didnuts!"

"You brought your own ship?"

Beth did not answer. The man knew his friend's character very well. Steve would never ask a stale question. There must be a reason behind that simple, trivial-sounding question.

"You're pretty smart then. Get lost."

What he said, Beth knows Steve!

"God! You're the one who's making trouble in your life and you're making an impact on me."

"I don't want to take guests."

"We'll be home tomorrow morning. Where's the room I need to occupy. I need a break." Austin sat on the couch, next to Beth.

"Keep away, let Lexi sit down," Steve orders Beth with an annoyed look.

"He can sit, this sofa is wide enough to accommodate the three of us."

"He will be overwhelmed. Don't argue. The couch is mine and I won't let you sit there."

Austin and Beth compactly snorted, looking at him with mocking gazes. Come on, that attitude looks ridiculous. So childish.

"Should I also ask your permission to sit here?" Austin asked without letting go of his scornful gaze.

"You should have done it. I'm not a good host." Steve stood up, looked at his guests one by one and then he exhaled a long breath.

"There are several empty rooms on the second floor. Good night," he left without looking at Lexi.

_____

The next morning, Steve is reluctant to leave the room even though Beth has repeatedly knocked on her door. All night he did not fall asleep, his mind floated, busy thinking what words he would say for this farewell.

"Steve, I know you hear me. You really don't want to take Austin and Lexi away? They'll be gone soon. I'll stay here even if you're sick of it."

Steve got out of bed. For a long time her ears were ringing at Beth's endless chirping.

When he opened the door, Lexi's face was what he found.

"Hi," the girl greeted with a wide smile, her hands also waving.

"Hi" Steve answered stiffly.

"It seems like your sleep isn't good."

"I can't close my eyes" he admitted honestly.

"I can't sleep either."

Steve nodded his head, "Yes, I can see it. There's a dark circle under your eyes."

"I've thought of everything."

Steve shuddered, not saying. He did not dare to ask what the girl was thinking.

"I have to keep coming back."

"I hope you stop taking those drugs. I also want to say that I'm really proud of you, Steven. You're a wonderful man. I'm really lucky to know you. Saying thank you and sorry is not enough for all the sacrifices and suffering you have gone through. I will not apologize to you either. You don't need that. As for the thanks, I guess you don't want just words either."

"You don't want to say anything before I leave?" Lexi asked because Steve was silent, not responding to Lexi's words even though the girl had paused for a few seconds.

Steve shook his head, because if he opens his mouth, the thing he wants to say 'stay here with me.'

"May I hug you."

Before Steve responded, Lexi had already dropped herself into his arms. Steve didn't reply. The man clenched both his hands. Mumbled inwardly, giving orders to her not to welcome the embrace. Because if he did, he wouldn't have the strength to let go of the girl.

"I never regretted everything. My race is still the same. Not decrease. I'm a lucky woman, because your race is the same as I thought. I feel it even late." Lexi broke her embrace, Steve groaned inwardly, wanting to pull the girl back into her arms.

"Nobita once said to Doraemon, 'after I leave, you must return to where you came from.' Doraemon agrees and I agree."

Steve doesn't understand what Lexi's saying. He certainly knows who Nobita and Doraemon are, only he does not really follow the friendship story of the two. His childhood was spent watching dragonball, the ninja hatori, not Doraemon. But for the first time in his life he wanted Doraemon to be real so Steve could borrow the cat's magic pouch.

"Since I agree with what Nobita said, I will do it too. See you soon." Lexi retreated slowly, away from Steve, then turned around, down the stairs. Lexi's really gone, back to where she should be. With Harry, her husband.
