H.U.R.T
Flavor Beggar

One day after Lexi decided to return, all Steve did was lock himself in the room, ignoring Beth who was suddenly so very attentive.

It was noon, Steve snorted lazily to see the door re-opened. Beth with a tray in hand entered across the room.

Breakfast this morning, the results of the concoction of his friend he had not touched at all and now lunch arrived and he had not intended to fill his stomach at all.

"You want to kill yourself?"

Ck! Exaggerated questions according to Steve. There is no story of someone dying just for skipping breakfast once.

"Have you ever had a broken heart?"

"I've been through almost my whole life" Beth lightly said.

Steve chokes, he forgets that Beth is indeed unlucky when it comes to women. Error, not less fortunate, too lucky to be exact. Every woman who expresses feelings to the man is always accepted by Beth. Either it's one, two or even five and he'll set the schedule over his women. The drawback is only one, Beth is less skilled at hiding her cover. Because once the original characters are revealed as women collectors, the women simultaneously break off the relationship.

"Eat. There are some emails you need to answer. Focus on your work for a moment, forget about matters of the heart."

"My heart can't be saved" Steve took a deep breath, then stretched his body back while pulling the blanket, covering his entire body.

"You're pathetic. Really beggar taste."

Steve uncovers the blanket, looking at Beth with a murderous gaze, his cursed friend stares back with a calm look.

"You do look like a taste beggar."

Steve took a deep breath back, "You're right" he said languidly. "Give me the food and read my schedule from the most important."

"You don't have a schedule. You can represent it to Leon or Zinia."

"Then, tell me who sent me the email and called me. By the way, I've dared to look at myself in the mirror. I don't seem to disappoint. And one more thing, Beth, help you find the meaning of Nobita's words to Doraemon about everything having to go back to the origin. If you need to, you'll have to watch all the episodes to come to the best conclusion."

Beth scratched her head, her brain a little hard to digest Steve's commands being delivered in a jumbled manner. Nobita Doraemon, my God, he likes Shinchan!

"What if you go back to sleep, Steve. I think it's rest you need."

Steve ignores Beth's protest in the form of attention because the ringing of the phone caught his attention.

Beth took the phone that was on the nightstand, gave it to Steve. He frowned reading the name on the screen.

"What's wrong, Vasquez? I don't want to be stale, so tell me what you need quickly and clearly."

Sounds upset from colleagues and business rivals.

"I just want to offer you a professional model that can add to your coffers, Ivarez..."

"Percy," Steve said right away.

"Percy?" Gavin Vasquez asked confusedly.

"Ck! You don't follow foreign news. And as for my wealth coffers, thank you for your concern, Vasquez, but I have no shortage of models that can benefit my business."

"I'm pushy. You have to accept this model."

"Didnuts!"

"When we meet."

"I'm not interested."

"Okay, three more days. I'm waiting for you in London." He's the one with the interest, he's the one who asked to be found.

"I don't want to deal with women who are more interested in me than in their jobs." A typical haughty man who does realize the advantages. Beth who heard that grumbled in a slow tone.

"It's so arrogant of you. But, I assure you this one model won't look at you," it sounded authentic from across the phone.

"See you later" Steve decides on a call. "Let's go on vacation, Beth." He immediately got out of bed. "Sense beggars need entertainment too. Let's see, what kind of professional model he offers."

"Ck! Men are still men. Would be excited if the topic discussed was women."

"That's a normal sign. Get ready, cut down on your bacot. My ears are ringing and another one, send 1000 champagne to Pax Willson."

"For what else, my friend?"

"To say I'm fine."

"He won't care about you."

"I knew. I said so out of annoyance at your question. Just send her to wonder with my intentions and purpose."

"I'm sorry I came to see you here."

"Trust me, Beth, I didn't expect you to come here, but since you're here, I won't let someone's energy idle. God, it looks like Pax Willson's gonna live another 1,000 years, look, he's calling me." Pax showed a phone screen that pointed to Thanos' name there.

"What's wrong?" Steve deliberately set his tone to sound indifferent.

Beth must refrain from strangling her neck for watching Steve play the drama first hand. Up until an hour ago, Beth had a great admiration for Steve, but now, at this moment, that awe was gradually gone. Before Beth actually carries out her intention to strangle Steve's neck, the man immediately comes out to prepare for their departure.

"Lexi is back in good health not lacking anything."

"Oh yeah?"

"Oh yeah?" Pax. It was definitely not that kind of relaxed reaction he wanted to hear from Steve's mouth.

"You must be very happy. Visit a nursing home or other social center. Grieve as your gratitude."

"Good advice, young man. Iwill. How are you doing?"

"Ouh, you're very considerate. I guess I should do the same. Grateful for the attention you give."

"Yes, alms. By the way, where are you?"

"You coming after me?"

"Maybe."

"Then I won't say it. My vacation could be ruined just from seeing your unsightly face."

"So you're on vacation?" Pax chooses to ignore Steve's words that deliberately provoke his blood sugar to rise.

"What did you expect?" Steve really did not feel awkward let alone sad to the former father-in-law did not become it. It was as if he was talking to his bestie.

"I just hope you live well, Son." Pax in wise mode. From the bottom of his heart, that was what he expected. Whether it's for Steve or Lexi.

"I'll live well. Don't you worry about me. And if in your heart still tucked guilt over me, get rid of that feeling for your own good in order to enjoy your old days in peace. I'm not going to repeat what I'm going to say, so listen carefully. Thank you for shaping me like this. And thank you also for your trust in me regarding your daughter. I forgive you, but it's actually a word of gratitude you deserve better, Pax Willson."

"Are these parting words?" pax's voice changed.

"Is that what you're expecting? I pulled back my words and believe me, my tongue suddenly itched!"

"And my ears are coming out of the mucus, crying, Dude!"

"I think this is the end of our conversation. Bye." Steve disconnected the phone.
