Four months later.

"On the testimony of several parties, on the evidence that has been collected. With this, it was declared that Steven Percy was innocent and acquitted of the lawsuits," before knocking on the hammer, the noble Judge stood staring at Steve who was sitting on the suspect's bench. Everyone who was there stood up.

"I, as Judge, represent an apology for the trial's wrongdoings several years ago that tarnished your name and robbed you of your freedom. With this the court and the government will provide compensation which is indemnity." The judge lowered his head slightly in homage, ending his apology. Everyone else did the same. The hammer was knocked several times.

Steve stood up from the suspect's bench. He approached his mother's father, finding a newness and relief on the faces of the two. Daphne immediately threw herself into the arms of her son. Steve clutched the woman tightly, giving her repeated kisses at the top of her mother's head.

Her mother broke their embrace because her husband also wanted to congratulate her.

"Now, the whole world knows that my son is not a criminal. Now, you've got your identity back, Son." His father grabbed him and patted him on the back.

It was not only his parents who were present there witnessing the freedom and cleansing of his name. There's Willson there, Harry, Roxi, and Beth.

"I'm proud of you" Pax reached out with a hand that Steve greeted with a flat expression. Since the trial, her face had indeed been lacking in expression as if this release meant nothing to her. "I'm sorry for all the pain you've suffered so far" Pax said with a sad look.

"You look five times older in just four months." Steve pulled his hand from Pax's grasp and stepped out of the trial.

The man drove his car to the prison. Brian, Fread and Dean were put in the same cell. Dean's injuries have not healed completely, but the punishment must still go. Inside the cell were not only the three of them, but there was Riston and several other inmates.

Yes, finally Riston managed to secure Darren when attacking Arthur at the Devils headquarters.

The bastards were not placed in solitary confinement as Steve had, the food they had was still decent. It's just that they are placed in special detention prisons that cannot go out and socialize with other prisoners.

After being outside the prison, Steve immediately vomited his entrails, and then he lost energy in his legs which made him decay to the floor. His heart was pounding uncontrollably, sweat drenching his forehead. The trauma has not disappeared at all even though the name is clean.

It took a while for Steve to get back on his feet. There are still some places he needs to go. He immediately drove his car.

He went to a home that was devoted to women who were depressed, desperate, mentally disturbed and so on. Olivia and Lily Oswald were there.

Unlike Olivia, Lily Oswald is now one of the nurses there. He's the one who takes care of Olivia more often.

Seeing Steve's presence, Lily immediately approached him with a smile.

"You coming?"

Steve nodded as he turned his eyes towards Olivia who was enjoying her snack.

"How is he doing?"

"There is always change. He could laugh when his family came to visit. He also wanted to talk to his mother even if it was only a word."

Steve nodded his head. Due to a mental breakdown, Olivia is free from all lawsuits. Just like Steve, the Olivia family also get compensation from the government for the injustice they experienced.

"You look better."

Lily noticed Steve's normal-looking appearance. Two months ago, when Steve came to visit the man's appearance was very chaotic. Long hair is not taken care of, as well as a thick sideburn that covers half of the face of his face. His body was dry like a depressed patient.

"I attended the trial" he said succinctly.

Lily nodded her head. The woman did not know how to express how grateful she was to Steve. The man kidnaps her from prison, Lily is almost depressed when Steve takes her to this parlour. Steve visited her repeatedly. The man also saved Lily's two parents from Mr.'s entrapment. Milles was going to burn both of them. Now, his father and mother are also clean from the activities of cult worshipers.

Lily knows Steve wouldn't have done this much to her if he wasn't Lexi's best friend. Recalling Lexi, Lily felt her heart pinch in pain. Lexi is no more.

"I miss him. Oh, Steve, I'm sorry." Lily hurriedly wiped her tears as soon as Steve's expression changed.

"I just regret not being able to say an apology as well as thank you to him on his last day. I'm not a good friend, but Lexi is a good and sincere friend. He must be happy in heaven."

Steve just fell silent, occasionally the man lowered his head hiding his feelings.

"I'm also grateful to you, Steve. Thanks to you, I can live well and make amends for my mistakes with Olivia."

They both looked at Olivia who still looked calm enjoying her snack.

"I'm leaving. For a long time, I may not be able to come."

Lily nodded, if she felt the overwhelming sadness of losing Lexi, Lily could not imagine what kind of pain Steve was feeling right now.

Steve looked at Olivia once more before actually leaving the place. Lily waved her hand as soon as Steve drove off the car.

Lily took a deep breath, she looked up at the sky. "Lexi, how much that man loves you."
