The rain fell as they were preparing to leave the penthouse. Rumbling is also unpretentious no less crowded signifies a picnic plan that ends up failing miserably.
Nara looked sadly towards the outside of the room which was almost all glass-walled. The black clouds shrank, and the rain was getting heavier and heavier.
He had prepared everything. He was even wearing the clothes he had chosen. Nara sat down in her dresser. His feelings turned grey again.
Arvin who had just finished taking a shower came into the room. As was his habit after cleaning himself, he was wearing only jeans and bare-chested with a towel draped around his neck.
“Yeah rain. Not to be.” Say it while rubbing your hair with a towel.
“Bete! Aaaaahs.. Though I really want a picnic keep kayak photos on Instagram.” Nara Whine.
Arvin laughed at the anxious whimper from his wife, “Other times yes. Tomorrow it can be. We leave early in the morning. I don't work now, Hmm?”
Arvin stood next to Nara, bent over and pecked at the top of his head. But Nara still had an annoyed expression and pursed her lips. Pouty.
It just rained, not something Arvin could control. Even though he was very eager to leave, but circumstances hindered them. Seeing Nara disappointed like that, made Arvin sad.
He crouched down in front of Nara, looking up as he looked into his wife's eyes that looked full of disappointment.
“What if we camp in the apartment?” Arvin said suddenly.
“Hah?”
“Bikin tent, title mat, keep eating the food you made.” Arvin continued with a smile.
“Ih time make a tent in the room anyway? Where do you want to rent a tent? Gini rain wants to come out too.” Nara knitted her brows in astonishment.
“Ya why? Excitement to know!” Sergey Arvin, “I have a tent. I am a nature lover.” Further.
Arvin ransacked the storage area in his guitar room. One of the special places where Arvin keeps all the equipment to support his hobby. Guitar displays, game consoles, lego groups, golf sticks, to boards for surfing.
Nara used to be amazed by the number of strange things. Can't imagine how many hobbies Arvin had. This guy is weird and incredible. Compared to him who is only a hobby of reading and occasionally painting.
After a long search, Arvin took out a small yellow dome tent. Sofa and table in the living room, Arvin sliding to touch the wall. There is an empty space in the middle, where Arvin began to arrange the tent. Stringing iron-pile thin and long to stand a tent that looks comfortable.
They held a cloth that would be used for the picnic in front of the tent. Piling up pillows, turning off lights, barking up emergency storms, to wear a jacket and lower the AC temperature until the room feels cold to bite.
After finishing the sandwich Nara made this afternoon, they threw themselves between the piles of pillows. Looking up at the high penthouse ceiling, while laughing at their own peculiarities.
Picnic this time may fail, but Nara get more exciting activities. Camping in the room.
“I really want ngajak you camping really. See stars at night, shower at the waterfall, see sunrise at the top.” Said Arvin lying down and still staring at the ceiling.
“From first I wanted to try to go up the mountain and camping. But never deliver. I think it's really exciting.”
Nara could not stop her laughter, this was the most realistic story about mountaineering. It is not always about pleasure after reaching the top, or other philosophical things about finding the willed self.
“If dedek already big, we ajakin camping. At the campground just do the exercises. Must be a lot of outdoor activities, let's be a tough girl. Right, deck?” Arvin turned around and gave a brief peek at Nara's stomach.
Nara is warm when Arvin talks about his plans with the child he later gave birth to. Maybe Nara didn't say it straight away, but her son was lucky to have a father like Arvin. With a free spirit and a pleasant personality. He could imagine that his son would grow up happy.
“What mountain have you ever climbed?”
“Many. If in Indonesia most only Mount Gede Pangrango, Semeru, same Prau aja. After college more hiking to the Blue Mountains, Cradle, Larapita Trail.”
“Your life is really exciting. You can go out and enjoy life. I'm envious. My youth is only made for learning, part time, thinking about the future so as not to live hard and lack. I forgot to enjoy my youth. The streets continue to adventure.”
Arvin first heard Nara tell him about her life. He knew a little about it from his mother. Nara who works hard to achieve her dream to be able to continue her education and get a better job than her parents.
Arvin hugs Nara, making her sleep facing each other and looking into each other's eyes.
“Now is the time for you to enjoy life too. I will take you for a walk, to a fun place and you will get many new experiences. You will not live hard. Even if I am no longer the owner of the company, I promise to work hard so that you can live comfortably without any shortcomings.” Arvin said convincingly.
Now Arvin's unemployed. Not having a job. But he still comes from a wealthy family. His life will not fall because of the loss of the company. There are still many assets and inheritances that Arvin has, relics of his father.
Nara recalls how it was when Reza lost her job. Admittedly, Nara was also very afraid at that time. What if Reza can't get the job back? What if Reza doesn't meet her needs? What if Reza makes his life worse?
Although Nara says she will work to help him, the feeling is unsettled as well. Instead of calming her down, Reza withdrew and became full of doubt. Though all Nara wanted to hear was the belief that she would fight for him. Convincing that he will continue to be beside her, responsible, and fulfilling his life.
Perhaps this is why God did not unite them. Nara does not get the love and confidence she wants from Reza, but from Arvin. Once again Nara is shown again why this man is worthy of her.
“Vin, move house yuk!” Nara suddenly said.
“Hah?”
“We can buy a house on the outskirts of the city. Usually there is still a backyard, so we can camp there. Then later Dedek have a separate room, I want to decorate using a mural that I drew myself. I want to plant hydroponic vegetables in the yard. I also want to have an aquarium at home. I've always dreamed of having a warm and pleasant home with my little family. I think it's exciting, huh?”
“Good idea. Then tomorrow we find home.” Arvin agreed.
Arvin also wants to have a warm little family and a nice home. All the images of a happy family he had coveted long ago, which he never got from his parents.
“But before that, tonight I want nengokin dedek first.” Continue with laughter.
Arvin got up from his sleep, then carried Nara into the tent. Do fun activities in a warm tent until the place is swaying. Only a silhouette of their bodies was seen between the flashlight and the darkness of the room.
They unite their love and their bodies. It gets closer as the air gets colder. Outside the rain was still fluttering and occasional lightning could be heard. But drowning with the sound of fun activity of two people inside the tent.
Merge.
