Withdrawing Resignation Letter

Evan is still in Nathan's room, he does not understand what Nathan is really planning because Nathan did not tell him at all.

"Don't worry about Aleea too much, I won't do anything that will hurt her" Nathan said, perceiving Evan's concerns.

"Well, whatever your plan is, I hope you won't make new trouble with what you're planning!" reply Evan.

Nathan just nodded his head without saying anything.

"What about Vina? did he really change his mind?" ask Evan.

"So, he didn't say anything to me, he didn't mention his resignation at all" Nathan replied.

"It looks like you were right, the resignation letter was just a bluff that he did to get you to do what he wanted" Evan said.

"I've guessed it, maybe I was caught off guard yesterday, but now I'll be tougher on him!" said Nathan.

"Good then, hopefully he can still work professionally!" reply Evan then moved from his seat.

"Don't put off a meeting like that all of a sudden or our client will think you're unprofessional!" evan said before he left Nathan's room.

Nathan nodded his head and refocused himself on his work.

Shortly after Nathan's door opened again, Vina entered Nathan's room and sat down in front of Nathan.

"There's something I want to talk about" said Vina.

"If it's about personal matters, you better wait until the office hours are over!" nathan replied with both eyes still focused on his computer.

"I want to apologize, as an employee who works under you," said Vina.

Nathan was silent, he felt reluctant to respond to Vina's words.

"I'm sorry for thinking so narrowly yesterday" said Vina, who changed her words more politely, but it did not attract Nathan's attention at all.

"I hope I can retract my resignation letter, sir!" vina.

"Have you changed your mind?" ask Nathan.

"Yes, i..... I've been thinking about it well since yesterday and I realized what I did yesterday was wrong so I'm sorry and hope Mr. Nathan won't sign my resignation letter," clearly Vina.

"You work really well while you're here Vina, you work harder than your other friends, that's why I gave my trust in you and gave some things that I didn't give to others!" said Nathan.

"But I just realized that it seems to make you forget about your position here, so maybe I should treat you like everyone else even if you work harder than them" Nathan continued.

"But isn't that unfair, sir?" asked Vina who was objecting, because all this time she had always been a very close employee with Nathan.

"That's my decision, if you can't accept it, you can still resign from this company and I'll sign your resignation right now!" nathan said as he pulled out Vina's resignation letter from the drawer.

"If so, don't blame me if I won't work as hard as I used to!" vina.

"It's up to you, if you don't show your good qualities, I'm not going to entrust you with a big company project either and it's not a problem for me because Evan is going to do it with his team!" reply Nathan.

Vina just kept quiet, she felt Nathan had really changed. He felt that his existence there was no longer important to Nathan.

"I'm very grateful if you still want to be a part of this company, but if you're tired and want to leave, I won't hold you Vina" Nathan said.

"But if you decide to stay here, then do your job well or I can get you out of here without hesitation!" continued Nathan.

Vina sighed in annoyance then looked at Nathan with a vexed look.

"Well, I'll stay here and do my job well!" vina.

Nathan just nodded his head slowly and returned Vina's resignation letter.

Vianpun received it, got up from his seat and walked out of Nathan's room.

Instead of returning to her desk, Vina took her step toward the toilet, into one of the toilet cubicles while squeezing her resignation letter with emotion.

"I don't know what makes you like this Nathan, but I chose to stay here not for no reason, maybe now I'm humbling myself in front of you, but for the next time I'll never do this again!" vina said in her heart.

Elsewhere, Aleea had just arrived at the shophouse.

"How's Aelea? is Nathan gonna help us?" tanya Tika was curious.

Aleea simply nodded her head uninspiredly as accepting Nathan was not really her wish.

"Why do you look uninspired Aleea? do you mind if Nathan helps us?" ask Tika.

"If not for being forced, I wouldn't have let him get involved with whatever I did," Aleea replied with a sigh.

"Why?" ask Tika.

"Because all this time he never cared about me, he only cared if....."

Aleea stopped her speech, she had just realized that she was not supposed to say that to Tika.

"I'm sorry, I seem to be so upset that I can't control what I say" Aleea said.

"No problem, you can tell me anything, Aleea, but I won't force you, tell me whenever you want to tell a story and don't have to tell it if you don't want to tell it" Tika replied.

Aleea took a deep breath and exhaled it slowly. He brought his gaze to Tika with a smile and leaned his head on Tika.

"You're a very good friend of Tika's, sorry if I was being selfish with you" Aleea said.

"I've never felt like you're being selfish with Aleea, if you object to Nathan's presence at the bazaar, you can turn him down, whatever your decision is, I'll agree to it" Tika said.

"No Tika, I won't harm our business just because of my personal problems" Aleea replied.

"Whatever your problem is, I hope you can solve it well Aleea, with a cool head and with a mature attitude, lest there be any regrets later on!" said Tika.

Aleea simply nodded her head without saying anything. Tika is very kind to her, but Aleea does not want Tika to know the big thing that she and Nathan are hiding from many people.

"There's no solution in my problems with Nathan, the only way to solve our problems is a divorce that I don't know when will happen" Aleea said in her heart with a long sigh.

Time passed, Aleea had just booked a taxi before she got out of the shophouse with Tika.

But instead of a taxi coming, Evan came to pick up Aleea.

"What are the reasons this time?" aelea asked with a mocking smile as Evan approached her.

"Aaahh I forgot I haven't made an excuse today, hehe.." Evan replied with a chuckle.

"Because there's Evan, now I'm going home!" said Tika.

"Okay, take care!" said Aleea who was met with a smile by Tika.

Soon a taxi Aleea had ordered arrived.

"Sorry Evan, but the taxi I ordered has come" Aleea told Evan.

"Yes," Aleea replied as she nodded her head.

"Wait here!" evan then walked over to the taxi.

Aleea had no idea what Evan was actually doing, but Aleea saw Evan take out a few hundred thousand bills from his wallet and give the money to the taxi driver.

Aleeepun just frowned, especially when suddenly the taxi was gone.

"Evan, what are you doing? why did the cab go?" asked Aleea who immediately approached Evan.

"I've paid him more than I should, so he's gone" Evan replied.

"Why did you do that, Evan?" asked Aleea who was a little upset.

"Because I want to take you home, there's something I want to talk to you about, Aleea!" answer Evan.

"You made me feel guilty for that taxi driver Evan" Aleea said grimly.

"I've given him more Aleea, so there's no need to feel guilty!" reply Evan.

"It seems you've been friends with Nathan for too long, so you've been thinking about everything from a money standpoint!" aelea.

"Are you mad at me?" ask Evan.

"No, but don't repeat it again" Aleea replied.

"All right, I'm sorry" Evan said.

Aleea and Evan then get in the car. Evanpun drove his car away from the shophouse, driving Aleea home.

"What do you want to talk to me about, Evan?" ask Aelea.

"I saw you in the office earlier" Evan replied.

"I went there to see Nathan" Aleea said.

"What's Aleea? you don't usually come to the office to see Nathan, is there a problem?" ask Evan.

"Nothing, there are only a few things I have to settle with him," Aleea replied.

"Didn't you want to tell me Aleea?" ask Evan.

"Everything is fine Evan, as long as I can handle my own problems, I will work on them before I ask you for help, so don't worry" Aleea said.

"But....."

"Evan, not everything that happened should I tell you!" aelea cut Evan's words.

Evan simply nodded his head, without saying anything because Aleea was reluctant to tell him.

"I'm so grateful that you've helped me so much Evan, you're so kind and I owe you so much, but I also want to try to solve my own problems and not always depend on you, too," aelea.

"I understand, but whenever you need help, don't ever hesitate to come to me" Evan said.

Aleea nodded her head with a smile.

"You're not angry, are you?" aelea asked, worried if her words offended Evan.

"No, I get it" Evan replied.

After some time on the way, they arrived.

"Do you want to see Nathan? aelea asked before she got out of Evan's car.

"No, I have to go home, I have work to do" Evan replied.

"Well, thank you for driving me home and be careful on the road!" said Aleea who was only answered with a nod of the head and a smile by Evan.

Aleea then entered the house after Evan's car left his yard.

Meksipun actually saw Nathan sitting in the living room, but Aleea continued his steps that deliberately ignored Nathan.

Seeing that, Nathan immediately got up and ran after Aleea.

"Why do you always come home with Evan?" nathan asked Aleea.

"He picked me up" Aleea replied briefly.

"Can't you go home alone? or let me pick you up!"

"I can go home by myself, but he forced me to drive me home" Aleea replied.

"He'll stop picking you up if you let me pick you up!" said Nathan.

Aleea halted her steps, bringing her gaze to Nathan who had stopped her steps.

"What exactly do you want Nathan? you used to be very warm to me, making me believe that we loved each other, but after we got married your attitude became cold and increasingly rude to me then now what? why are you suddenly acting like this?"

"You're still my wife Aleea, wouldn't it be a problem if you always went home for the night with Evan?" nathan's reply was looking for an excuse.

"It wouldn't be a problem if you didn't tell mama, after all you never cared about me, but now you suddenly care about me?"

"I'm not like this because I care about you Aleea, I just do what I have to do to keep the matter between us a secret!" said Nathan.

"You've always been your own man, Nathan, so selfish and childish!" aelea continued in her footsteps with a small run leaving Nathan.

"Sometimes a selfish attitude is necessary, for what I spend a lot of time and energy just for nothing!" nathan said, then continued his steps and went into his room.

Nathan put his laptop on the table, sat quietly on the edge of his bed, thinking about what Aleea had just told him.

"I'm not entirely selfish, I'm just working on what should be mine and one of my efforts is with all the plans I've been thinking about well and what I'm doing is not wrong!" said Nathan.

Nathan then dropped himself on the bed, staring at the ceiling of his room with a blank look.

Suddenly his head recounted the dream he had while he was in Paris.

"Aaarrgghh that fucking dream!" nathan said annoyed and covered his face with his pillow.

But instead of forgetting the dream, Nathan thought of something else.

"Did Aleea not know about the glass wall in the bathroom?" nathan asked himself.

For a while Nathan was silent, his heartbeat suddenly skipped a beat, leaving Nathan to quickly get out of bed.

"Aaarrgghh I must be crazy!" nathan said as soon as he walked into his bathroom.

Nathan stood in front of the sink, washed his face with running water and stared at the reflection of his face on the mirror before him.

But the image of Aleea that he saw in Paris suddenly flashed in his head, as if the image was again visible in the mirror before him.

Subconsciously Nathan went silent again, enjoying a few seconds of his wild imagination that he could not control.
