The Hospital

The day has changed. As usual, Aleea woke up early. He prepared himself well before he left the house.

But just down the stairs, Nathan suddenly came and stopped his steps.

"What you think of me and Vina is not true, I...."

"I don't care" Aleea said, cutting Nathan's words and continuing.

"Listen to me!" nathan said as he held Aleea by the hand.

"What else should I hear from you, Nathan? no matter what your relationship with Vina looks like, I don't care, do whatever you want and don't care about me!" aelea said as she pulled her hand violently.

"I just don't want you to think that I have a special relationship with Vina, because I have absolutely no such relationship with her!" nathan is still trying to explain.

"There's no need to explain anything to me Nathan, don't we care about each other now? we do whatever we want without making a fuss, isn't that what you want?" aleea replied with a sharp look in Nathan's eyes.

For a moment Nathan was silent, in his heart he confirmed what Aleea had just told him.

Nathan didn't even understand why he suddenly intended to explain it to Aleea.

"You've managed to get me away from you, Nathan, you've managed to get me to learn to be selfish, so there's no need to explain these unimportant things to me!" aelea said then continued her steps.

But before Nathan could say anything, Aleea again stopped her steps and brought her eyes to Nathan standing behind her.

"One more thing, you have to remember, we're strangers living under one roof, so don't talk to me if it's not a very important issue, because it bothers me a lot!" aelea said then continued her steps.

"I wouldn't have done this either if you hadn't misunderstood what Aleea happened last night!" said Nathan who immediately took his steps back to follow Aleea.

Aleea just kept quiet and continued to move on without caring for Nathan who was still following him until he walked out of the main door of the house.

"I'm not Aleea's cheating man, you should know that!" nathan half yelled.

Aleea simply kept silent, continuing his steps until he exited the gate of the house and got into the taxi that was waiting for him.

"Calm Aleea, just ignore it" Aleea said in her heart, trying not to heed Nathan's words to keep her in a good mood before she reached the shophouse that is now her workplace.

While Nathan just stayed in his place, looking at Aleea who left the house without looking at him one bit.

"What I just did, I shouldn't have explained it to him," Nathan said with a rude sigh, annoyed that Aleea ignored him.

"But I did it because I didn't want him to look down on me just because of a misunderstanding last night" Nathan said, bringing himself inside.

Nathan walked into his room with a sense of annoyance that filled his chest. Somehow he felt so annoyed when Aleea ignored him.

"The longer he's been getting annoying, if it wasn't for me needing it, I would have divorced him by now!" nathan said annoyed as he dropped himself on the bed.

Nathan's eyes then glanced at the clock on the wall in his room, lazily Nathan got out of bed and prepared to go to the office.

Just as he was leaving home and on his way to work, Nathan's phone rang, a call came in from Vina.

"Hello Vina, what's wrong?" nathan asked after he received Vina's call.

"Nathan, today I can't go to the office, I just had an accident and I'm in the hospital" Vina said.

"Accident? why can?"

"I don't know either, suddenly the taxi driver couldn't control his car and hit a roadblock" Vina replied.

"But today there was an important meeting Vina and only you prepared the material!" said Nathan.

"I know, but I don't think it's possible to go to Nathan's office, what else to meet!" reply Vina.

"Where are you now? I'll be there soon!"

Vina then gives Nathan her hospital address and without waiting for long Nathan drives his car to the hospital where Vina is being treated.

Arriving at the hospital, Nathan immediately contacts Evan first, asking Evan to handle his work until Nathan arrives at the office.

Nathan then searches Vina's room and eventually finds Vina in a public outpatient room with several patients near Vina's bed.

"Finally you came Nathan, thank you for worrying about me" Vina said with a smile as she looked at Nathan walking towards her.

"How are you doing? what did the doctor say?" nathan asked without further ado.

"I'm fine, fortunately there are no deep wounds, it's just that I haven't been able to move much what else is walking," explained Vina.

"I'm so uncomfortable here, Nathan, can you take me to another room?" continued Vina whining spoiled.

"I'll talk to the doctor to let you go home" Nathan said.

"That's not what I mean, Nathan, I....."

"Wait a minute, I'll see the doctor" Nathan said, cutting Vina's speech and walking away.

Vinapun just sighed annoyed to see Nathan who wanted to take him home because actually Vina wanted to be moved to the VIP room, not home.

Soon Nathan returns with a nurse in a wheelchair.

"The doctor has allowed you to go home to Vina, now I will take you home" Nathan told Vina.

"Are you sure the doctor has allowed it? wouldn't I move a lot if I stayed home?" vina asked doubting Nathan's words.

"Don't worry, I'll ask the sisters to take care of you for 24 hours at home, so there will be some sisters who take turns looking after you for a few days until you are completely healed" Nathan explained.

Vina just sighed, she already had no other reason to remain in the hospital.

The sister helped Vina to get out of bed and sit in a wheelchair.

"Thank you" Nathan said, with a nod of his head and a smile from the nurse.

"Why should I go home, Nathan? wouldn't it be better to stay here for a few days?" asked Vina grumbling.

"You're in charge of a lot of things in Vina's office, as long as you can still speak fluently and think well, you have to keep working even if you have to do it from home," nathan replied which made Vina so surprised.

"And I think working from home is better than working from the hospital, right?" nathan continued, pushing Vina's wheelchair through the hospital hallway.

"So you're doing all this to keep me working?" ask Vina.

"Of course" Nathan replied without hesitation.

Vina just shook her head slowly, not believing what she had just heard. He thought that Nathan had come because he was worried about him.

While walking through the hospital hallway, Nathan suddenly stops his steps when he sees someone he knows.

"Mama!" nathan said he saw his mother talking to someone wearing a doctor's robe.

"Oh my God, Aunt Hanna, get me out of here, Nathan!" vina panicked.

But instead of taking Vina away, Nathan actually released his grip on Vina's wheelchair and took his step toward the mother.

"Gosh, what's Nathan doing? Aunt Hanna will definitely go berserk in the morning at me!" grumbled Vina while trying to turn her own wheelchair, but she felt difficulty because her hands were still weak and sick due to the effects of the accident that had just happened to her.

On the other hand, Hanna who was chatting with doctor Rizal was so shocked when she saw Nathan walking towards her.

"Nathan, what are you doing here?" hanna asked Nathan.

"Nathan was the one who should have asked, why is my mom here so early? is mama sick?" nathan asked back.

"No, mama's not sick, but why is Vina here? are you with Vina?" hanna replied as she asked, intending to divert the conversation.

"Nathan will explain later, but why is Mama here? is mom with papa?" reply Nathan.

"No, mama's not with papa, don't you know that papa's been out of town since yesterday!" answer Hanna.

"Aaahh yes, introduce, this is doctor Rizal, a friend of my mother since college," continued Hanna Rizal doctor to Nathan.

Doctor Rizal smiles who is only met with a thin smile by Nathan.

"Mama hasn't answered Nathan's question, why is mom here so early?" nathan asked his mother again.

"Doctor Rizal just came back from America, mama's just here to say hello, because Rizal's doctor's schedule is very busy, so she came when Rizal's doctor had time like the present," explained Hanna.

"Without? in the hospital?" nathan asked doubting his mother's words.

"In addition to being a doctor here, I also become a lecturer and occasionally visit the lab outside the city, so you could say I am quite busy and rarely have time to just chat with old friends, so you know, I hope you don't misunderstand Nathan" Dr. Rizal explained.

"No, Nathan didn't misunderstand me, it's just that this is the first time Nathan has seen you meet his old friend in the hospital" Nathan replies.

"That's because I just returned from America Nathan, if there is time maybe we can have dinner with Mr. Aryan and also Rania," said Rizal's doctor.

Nathan just nodded his head slowly without saying anything, in his heart he still doubted everything he heard back then.

"Alright, I'm sorry because there are patients who have been waiting, it's good to see you Nathan" said Rizal doctor and took his steps away.

"Mama has to go, too" said Hanna and walked away.

While passing through Vina, Hanna just walked straight without even turning to Vina, making Vina a little surprised but relieved to not get a scolding from Hanna like before.

"Nathan!" call Vina to Nathan.

Nathan immediately took his step toward Vina and pushed back Vina's wheelchair to get out of the hospital.

"What are you guys talking about? is Aunt Hanna talking about me?" ask Nathan Vina.

"No" Nathan replied briefly.

"I'm happy that Aunt Hanna ignored me, but it's not usual for Aunt Hanna to behave like that" Vina said.

"Is Aunt Hanna sick?" vina asked.

"Be quiet, Vina, don't ask too many questions" Nathan said without answering Vina's question.

"Alright," Vina replied by singing her lips.

Nathan then helps Vina get in the car and drives her car away from the hospital.

After some time on the way, Nathan arrived in front of Vina's house. Nathan opens the door to Vina's house before she lifts Vina's body and lays Vina on the bed.

Not to forget Nathan also brought in a wheelchair that he brought from the hospital and put it near Vina's bed.

"Are you going now?" asked Vina who was trying to get up from her lying position.

"Sheat your clothes!" nathan ignored Vina's question.

"For what?" ask Vina doesn't understand.

Nathan just shut up, took the laptop and some files in Vina's briefcase and put them in bed.

Nathan opens some of the files and turns on Vina's laptop without answering a single question.

"What are you really doing, Nathan?" ask Vina annoyed.

Nathan looked at his watch and took a comb and gave it to Vina.

"Meeting will start an hour from now, so be prepared!" said Nathan.

"Are you crazy? I just had Nathan's accident, I....."

"Don't I tell you, as long as you can still speak fluently and your brain can still think well, you should still carry out your duties Vina!" nathan cut Vina's words.

"But it's not Nathan today either, I also have to rest!" vina refused.

"Meeting will not take more than 3 hours Vina, after which you can rest as long as you want and return to work tomorrow morning without getting out of bed!" reply Nathan.

"But....."

"Suster who looks after you will come soon, don't let me down Vina, I've already spent a lot of money on you, if not you, I wouldn't have done anything this far!" nathan said, then walked out of Vina's room without letting Vina finish her words.

"Aaaarrghhhhhh sucks!" vina yelled annoyed.

On the other hand, Nathan immediately drove his car towards the office. Arriving at the office, he immediately entered his room.

Nathan turns on the computer in front of him, checking some of the data in front of him, but he can't really focus on his work.

In her head, she still met her mother in the hospital.

Without realizing Nathan was silent, staring blankly at the computer screen in front of him, thinking about what exactly the mother was doing in the hospital with doctor Rizal who was the college friend of the mother.

On the other hand, Evan knocked on the door several times before he entered Nathan's room. However, Evan was only silent when he saw Nathan who looked dreamy by staring blankly at the computer in front of him.
