Love Without Memory
Requesting Nathan's permission

The sky was already dark by the time Aleea had just arrived home. Aleea walked inside the house regardless of Nathan sitting on the porch since then.

"Aleea wait!" nathan said as soon as he got out of his seat as Aleea passed him by, without even turning a second.

Aleea who actually heard Nathan's call just kept quiet and continued his steps because he deliberately ignored Nathan.

Nathanpun ran over and grabbed Aleea's hand violently for Aleea to stop her steps.

The shocked Aleea immediately pulled her hand from Nathan and resumed her steps, but Nathan immediately grabbed Aleea's hand back and this time gripped him firmly for Aleea to completely stop her steps.

"Take me off Nathan!" aelea said, trying to pull her hand from Nathan's grip.

"We need to talk to Aleea!" nathan said, still clutching Aleea's hand firmly.

"There's nothing we should talk about but to talk about our divorce" Aleea replied.

"There will be no divorce in this marriage Aleea, so never expect to be able to get away from me!" said Nathan.

Aleea just kept quiet by constantly trying to wriggle from Nathan's increasingly strong grip.

"Listen to me Aleea, we need to talk!" nathan raised his voice right in front of Aleea.

"Are you not communicating well? does this have to be the way we talk?" aelea asked with a sharp look in Nathan's eyes.

Nathan then walked towards the living room by forcefully pulling Aleea down then dropped Aleea on the living room sofa violently.

"Listen to me carefully if you don't want me to do anything bad to you!" nathan stood in front of Aleea.

"Lusa is the wedding anniversary of mama and papa, we should come and try not to show the problem between the two of us!" nathan said to Aleea.

"Why should I do it?" aelea asked by trying to hold back the emotions within her.

"Because the problem will get worse if mom and dad know what happened to our marriage" replied Nathan.

"That's your problem, not mine" Aleea said.

"Did you remember Aleea, there's someone who deliberately follows you all day until you get back home, do you know who she is? and who told him to?" nathan asked who made Aleea immediately raise her head to look at Nathan, as if asking for an answer.

"They were mama's men," continued Nathan who made Aleea so surprised.

"No way, why did you do that?" aelea asked in disbelief.

"Because you suspect your relationship with Evan, you saw you both several times with Evan and it made you suspicious, that's why mama asked someone to follow you to make sure everything you did was with Evan behind my back!" nathan explained.

"Aren't you the one who always asked Evan to replace you? why don't you tell Mama yourself?" ask Aelea.

"I've said it, but you don't trust me, especially after you see you and Evan holding hands in the office" Nathan replied.

"With hands? when were me and Evan....."

"That doesn't matter to Aleea, I've been trying to explain to mama what happened, I've been trying to make mama believe that there's no connection between you and Evan, too," nathan cut Aleea's words.

"Mama did say that if you believed me, but I don't know how it would be if you knew about our current relationship, wouldn't you suspect Evan? maybe you'll think if the problem between the two of us is because Evan is secretly in touch with his best friend's wife!" continued Nathan.

"What do you mean Nathan? don't try to fool me with all your words!"

"If you don't believe you can ask Evan, he's the one who's been looking out for you all day and he's the one who knows first if the mastermind behind it all is mom," said Nathan.

Aleea was silent for a while, Nathan's words made him think, but he didn't want to believe Nathan's words just like that.

"You should know Aleea, Evan is like a brother to me, mom and dad also already consider Evan like part of the Kalandra family, our relationship is very close even closer than our marriage relationship," said Nathan.

"Can't you imagine what would happen if mom and dad really thought Evan was the cause of our marriage problems? isn't that gonna make Evan and my family's relationship break down because of you?" continued Nathan.

"I just need to tell the truth, Evan will also definitely try to tell the truth!" reply Aleea.

"Are you sure mom and dad will believe you? mama's been doubting you ever since you saw you join hands with Evan and do you think mom and dad would trust Evan more than me?" ask Nathan.

Aleea let out a rough sigh and then moved from her seat.

"What do you really want Nathan? if you don't love me anymore just divorce me and we don't have to play a show in front of everyone!"

"I told Aleea, I'm not going to divorce you and now all I want is for you to pretend in front of mama, papa and everyone if our relationship is okay!" reply Nathan.

"I really don't understand your way of thinking Nathan, you're really very selfish!" aelea said with a look at Nathan full of hatred.

Nathan only smiled faintly without saying anything, whereas Aleea immediately took her steps away by deliberately bumping her shoulders at Nathan.

"Think about Aleea, I'm sure you won't make Evan lose his only family to her!" nathan half yelled.

Aleea was silent even though he heard what Nathan said. Aleea walked into her room with a rumble of emotion in her chest that was ready to explode.

He really did not expect that he would meet a very selfish man like Nathan.

Aleea then dropped her bag on the floor of her room and laid her body on the bed. His head was still filled with all the words Nathan had just heard.

Aleea understood that Nathan's mother had misunderstood Evan's relationship, but Aleea did not expect Nathan's mother to go that far.

"What should I do now? Evan no longer has a family other than Nathan's family who already consider him part of the Kalandra family!"

Aleea took a deep breath and exhaled violently. He is unlikely to put Evan in a difficult position after Evan helped him a lot during this time.

But on the other hand, Aleea also did not understand why Nathan did not immediately divorce him if Nathan did not love him.

Late at night, Aleea sat on the edge of her bed looking for Evan's name in her contact storage.

Aleea then contacted Evan.

"Hello Evan, am I interrupting?" aelea asked as Evan had already received his call.

"No Aleea, what's up?" reply Aleea.

"Are you busy tomorrow morning, Evan?" ask Aelea.

"Tomorrow... mmmmm.... No, what's wrong? do you want to meet me?" reply Evan.

"I want to buy jewelry and watches for men, I need you to give me your point of view as a man so that I don't get me wrong, can you?"

"Are you going to buy it for Nathan?" evan asked back.

"Well, shouldn't you be looking for a present with Nathan, Aleea?"

"You don't seem to know her, Evan, even since she used to ask you to take me wherever I wanted to go" Aleea replied.

"But maybe this time he'll drive you Aleea, won't you go to find his mom and dad's present?"

"Well if you can't drive me, I'd rather go alone than go with Nathan, I'm sure he won't take me!" reply Aleea.

"Are you mad at me?" ask Evan.

"No, I understand that if you can't help me this time, you've helped me a lot all along" Aleea replied.

"I'll try to contact Nathan, I'll talk to him about this, if he can't drive you, then I'll drive you" Evan said.

"Okay," replied Aleea.

Call ended.

On the other hand, Nathan just got out of his room and drove his car out of the house.

That night he will meet with Evan to attend a new restaurant opening owned by one of their friends.

After some time on the way, Nathanpun arrived in front of Evan's apartment and immediately contacted Evan to get Evan out.

Not long to wait, Evan came. Nathan immediately drives his car away towards his new friend's restaurant.

"You have a wife but you always go with me, our friends will ask you that to have a nice conversation with you" Evan said.

"I don't care" Nathan replied with a faint smile.

They reached their destination, they were greeted by their friend who was the owner of the restaurant.

They were then invited to sit with their other friends and sure enough, some of them asked the whereabouts of Aleea who incidentally was Nathan's wife.

They wonder because Nathan is always with Evan, even after Nathan has a wife.

But Nathan only replied to all those questions with a joke that made the atmosphere there pleasant without anyone else discussing Nathan's personal problems.

The clock was showing at 11pm when Nathan and Evan left the restaurant. Nathan drives back to Evan's apartment to drive Evan home.

"Aleea called me before we left" Evan said.

Nathan just kept quiet without saying anything, because he didn't care about it at all.

"He asked me to accompany him to buy gifts for your parents, but I turned him down because maybe he could go with you" Evan continued.

"No, I'm not going with him" Nathan said.

"Why? aren't you guys going to your parents' wedding anniversary?" ask Evan.

"I did force her to go to the show with me and pretend there was no problem between the two of us, but I wasn't going to take her anywhere" Nathan replied.

"But he wanted to buy a present for your parents Nathan, shouldn't you....."

"No Evan, I don't want to deal with him other than for important things, especially in front of my parents, besides that I don't care about him at all" Nathan said, cutting off Evan's words.

"All right then, so will you let me accompany her tomorrow?" ask Evan.

"All the decisions are with you Evan, if you find him to be so troublesome, you can resist him" Nathan replied.

"But I never felt he was bothering me" said Evan.

"Then just go with her, I don't care what you two do and you don't have to ask me for permission or tell me if you want to meet her or do anything else with her, because I don't care at all" Nathan said.

"But Nathan....."

"Already Evan, I'm so sick of hearing your story about him, whatever you two do, I don't care at all, so stop saying Aleea's name in front of me, okay?"

"Okay right," Evan replied with a nod of his head slowly.

The day has changed. That morning Evan drove his car towards Nathan's house to pick up Aleea after Evan had told Aleea he would drive Aleea that morning.

After some time on the way, Evanpun arrived at Nathan's house. Evan takes his step inside and finds Nathan who just came down the stairs.

"I wouldn't have done this if you had accompanied Nathan" Evan told Nathan.

"I don't care about Evan, how many times I have to tell you" Nathan replied

"But you're my best friend Nathan, what if someone else or maybe your family saw me with Aleea?" ask Evan.

"Tell me if I tell you, the problem is over" Nathan replied with a faint smile.

Evan just sighed looking at Nathan's attitude. Shortly afterwards, Aleea was seen coming down the stairs with her sling bag.

"Come Evan!" aelea said as she took her steps out without looking at Nathan the slightest bit as she passed Nathan.

"I'll go first!" evan said, patting Nathan on the shoulder.

Nathan was silent without saying anything, but the tail of his eyes followed Evan's steps out of his house with Aleea.

Somehow Nathan suddenly snorted angrily and took his steps back up the stairs to get into his study.

On the other hand, Evan was already driving his car leaving Nathan's house with Aleea sitting next to him.

"You're very cold to Nathan, to Aleea" Evan told Aleea.

"If she could be like that to me, why wouldn't I?" reply Aleea.

"Are you taking revenge on him?" ask Evan.

"No, I'm just doing what I think is right, it's not an easy thing to heal Evan's grief, even though I still cry over my destiny every night, but I won't show my weakness in front of Nathan or he will do anything to me" Aleea replied.

"Do you hate Aleea?" ask Evan.

"Yes, sometimes I hate him so much, but sometimes I still wonder why we should hate each other if we ever loved each other and subconsciously I still hope that all these bad things are just my nightmares," aelea replied with a long sigh.
