Vina Decree

Days change. Unlike usual, that morning Vina was so lazy to go to the office. Arriving at the office, he just sat at work by paying attention to an envelope that he had been holding.

"Have I done the right thing?" inner Vina in heart.

After a while sitting in her place, Vina then moved as she saw Nathan walking into her room.

Vina immediately followed Nathan, knocking on the door before finally entering Nathan's room.

Without saying anything Vina put the envelope she had been holding on Nathan's desk since.

"What's this?" nathan asked, took the envelope and opened it.

Nathan took the contents of the envelope and read it even though Vina had not answered his question.

At once Nathan was so surprised and immediately brought his gaze to Vina.

"What the fuck is this Vina? you're kidding me, aren't you?" ask Nathan.

"No, you just need to sign it" Vina replied.

"Why did you suddenly decide to resign Vina? what was? is something wrong?" ask Nathan.

"It's not all of a sudden Nathan, I've been thinking about it all right, I've....."

"No, I won't sign it" Nathan said, cutting off Vina's speech.

"Why don't you sign Nathan? I'll finish my responsibilities before I leave this office, so you don't have to worry!"

Nathan let out a long sigh and moved from his seat and brought his steps closer to Vina.

"Tell me what do you want Vina? a raise? a vacation? or is there something else I can do to keep you here?" nathan asked by holding onto Vina's shoulders.

"No Nathan, that's not what I want" Vina replied as she removed Nathan's hands from her shoulders.

Vina just kept quiet without saying anything. Ever since Nathan got married, Vina had indeed felt so upset by Aleea's sudden appearance that it was considered to interfere with his efforts to get close to Nathan.

"I know we are very close Vina, the closeness between you and me is different from other employees, but that doesn't mean you can....."

"I know Nathan, I know it was my fault" Vina said, cutting Nathan's words.

"So it's true that you resigned because of that?" ask Nathan.

"No, there's something else I'm considering, I hope you can respect my decision" Vina replied and walked out of Nathan's room.

While Nathan just sighed annoyed with Vina's attitude that suddenly changed.

The whole day Nathan and Vina looked like they were in a cold war. They still do their job well, but with limited communication.

Vina's sudden decision to resign certainly made Nathan surprised and could not take it for granted.

Until Nathan arrives at his house, he only thinks about how to keep Vina working with him.

Aleea knocked on Nathan's office door and opened it a little because she didn't want to bother Nathan.

"Evening is ready" Aleea said from a slightly open door.

Nathan just nodded his head then left his study and walked towards the dining table with Aleea.

"This is a new menu that I learned in cooking class, you should try it" Aleea said as she poured her dishes onto Nathan's plate.

While enjoying his dinner, Aleea told Nathan a lot of things, but Nathan did not listen to him at all because he was still thinking of ways to change Vina's decision to leave the office.
