Love Without Memory
Blame Aleea

As Aleea was sitting in front of the ER room, two policemen approached Aleea to ask some questions.

Alee answered only a few questions asked by the police, because indeed he did not know what really happened at that time.

All Aleea knew was that when Evan saved him from a speeding bike, Aleea did not even get to see what the license plate was like and how many.

After finishing his business with Aleea, the policeman left. Not to forget they gave Aleea's bag and a cell phone they found at the scene.

"I need to call Nathan!" aelea said after the 2 policemen left.

As usual, Nathan did not immediately take Aleea's call, leaving Aleea so upset. Aleea then sent a message to Nathan.

"Nathan, I'm in the hospital, Evan had an accident."

After the message was sent, Nathan contacted him shortly afterwards.

"Aleea, where are you now? how's Evan doing?" nathan asked without further ado.

"I'm in hospital X, I don't know how Evan is, the doctor's still checking on him, me....."

Tuuuutttt tuuuutttt

Call disconnected. Aleea just sighed and put her phone back in the bag with Evan's phone.

Elsewhere, Nathan, hearing that Evan had been in an accident, is shocked and leaves his place to go to the hospital Aleea is referring to.

Nathan drove his car at full speed to get to the hospital.

"You can't leave me Evan, you must always be by my side, no one can separate our friendship even death!" nathan said with both eyes focused on the highway before him.

Nathan's memory briefly recounts what happened years ago when Evan was in an accident to help him escape from home.

The guilt full of sadness seemed to regain control of him at that time. Seeing Evan lying helplessly on the hospital bed really made Nathan sad.

After some time on the way, Nathanpun reached the hospital and immediately ran towards the ER room.

Arriving there, he saw Aleea sitting in front of the ER room. Nathanpun immediately approached Aleea and roughly pulled Aleea's hand to his feet.

"What happened to Aleea? why are you okay if you two just had an accident?" nathan asked Aleea

"I almost got hit by a motorbike in front of the restaurant and Evan saved me, but his head hit and he collapsed with blood coming out of his head" Aleea explained with tears returning, worried if something bad happened to Evan.

"Why don't you take good care of yourself Aleea? why would you risk yourself and make someone else risk their life for you?" nathan asked emotionally as he thought Aleea was the cause of the accident.

"I didn't know it was going to happen to Nathan either, nor did I expect Evan to do so" Aleea responded in self-defense.

"If anything bad happens to Evan, you're the one Aleea's to blame, you're the reason Evan's suffering here and if it happens I'll never be....."

Nathan stopped his remarks as the doctor and several nurses walked out of the ER room.

"How's my friend doing, Doc? is she okay?" nathan asked the doctor.

"It's a good thing that the patient got to the hospital in time, so the bleeding in his head could be treated immediately, the patient had bleeding in his head, but that's not something to worry about" the doctor explained.

"Do we have to do a CT SCAN, MRI or other doc?" ask Nathan.

"For the moment it is not necessary, let's see how he responds when he is conscious later, after which we can determine whether further action is needed or not" the doctor replied.

"Well Doc, thank you, please put him in the VIP ward of the dock, I will be his guardian and take full responsibility" Nathan said.

"Well, I'll ask the nurse to move her to the VIP treatment room" the doctor replied and walked away with the sisters.

After Evan is transferred to the VIP ward, Nathanpun enters to see Evan's condition, as well as Aleea who wants to see Evan's state.

But before Aleea stepped in, Nathan had already held Aleea in front of the door.

"Go, you're not needed here!" nathan said to Aleea.

"I just wanted to see Evan, Nathan," Aleea replied.

"No need, didn't you hear what the doctor said? he's fine!"

"But...."

"Go Aleea, your existence only makes me even more angry at you!" nathan said in a high tone.

"Well, I'm leaving, but have you contacted his family? what's....."

"Be quiet Aleea, you don't know anything about Evan, so it's best to leave now before I lose my temper!" nathan said cutting Aleea's words with a sharp look.

Alee was silent with both eyes glazed, while Nathan immediately entered Evan's room and closed Evan's door.

"I don't want this to happen to Nathan either, I don't know if this bad thing is going to happen, why are you so mad at me? I'm not the guilty Nathan, not me" Aleea said in her heart with a puddle of water in her two eyes that slowly drips.

Aleea then carried her steps away while wiping away her tears. Not only did Evan's circumstances make him sad, but Nathan's attitude treated him very harshly.

"I'm sorry Evan" Aleea said softly, trying to catch her breath so she could stop the tears that continued to shed from both corners of her eyes.

Aleea then got out of the hospital, ordering a taxi that drove her home.

Along the way, Aleea was still thinking about Nathan's attitude towards her. Somehow he felt Nathan's attitude was too excessive on him.

"Why are you so mad at me, Nathan? do you think I should just be lying in the hospital?" inner Aleea asked inwardly.

After some time on the way, Alee reached his home. With sorrowful steps, Aleea walked into the house and dropped herself on her bed.

"Hopefully you're okay, Evan, I'm sorry to get you involved in something so bad, if only I could turn the clock around, I'd rather not feel my happiness with you if you end up lying in the hospital because of me" Aleea said, staring at the ceiling of her room.

Aleea then pulled out the phone from her bag and realized that there was an Evan phone in her bag.

"I have to get this phone back to him, I'll see him tomorrow myself" Aleea said, then kept Evan's phone in his bag.

Elsewhere, Nathan had been sitting beside Evan's bed for a long time, until Nathan finally saw Evan who began to slowly blink.

"Evan, are you conscious?" nathan asked who saw Evan open his eyes slowly.

The doctor immediately checked Evan's condition and made sure there was nothing to worry about from Evan's condition.

"Where's Aleea, Nathan? is she okay?" evan asked Nathan after the doctor came out of his room.

"Why did you ask her when you just regained consciousness? don't you know how worried I was when I heard you had an accident?" nathan's reply was upset.

"You're worried about me?" evan asked with a smile.

"Of course, I. I'm afraid that the events of the past are repeated again" Nathan replied, turning his eyes away.

"I'm fine Nathan, so what about Aleea? she's okay, isn't she?"

"He's fine and I've kicked him out of here" Nathan replied.

"dismissed it? whatchu mean?" ask Evan.

"He who made you like this Evan, seeing him here would only make me more angry with him, so I forced him to leave" Nathan replied.

"It's not Aleea's fault at all, Nathan!" said Evan.

"Stop thinking about Aleea, Evan!" reply Nathan.

"What's wrong with you? why are you acting like this? people will think if we have a relationship that is not right if they know how you are doing right now!"

"I don't care, I just don't want the past to repeat itself, I don't want to feel that pain and guilt anymore, Evan!" said Nathan.

"Oh my God, Nathan, it's long gone and we made it through those bad times, now call Aleea and...."

"No Evan, stop thinking about Aleea and stop doing stupid things just to save others, never sacrifice your life just for the sake of others and start learning to think about yourself, Evan!" nathan cut Evan's words.

"Calm Nathan, take control of your fears about the bad past, I know what I have to do and I make sure it doesn't happen again!" said Evan.

"How are you going to make sure of it while you're still acting stupid like this?" reply Nathan.

Evan let out a long sigh and just silently looked at Nathan. Evan understood why Nathan was so worried about him, but that was no reason to blame Aleea for what happened.

"So Aleea my life gets more complicated, I have to pretend to love her, and accept all the things I don't like about her, she said, I had a problem with Vina until I finally did something stupid just to hold Vina in the office which made me miss the great opportunity that papa promised me" Nathan said.

"No Nathan, you took Aleea's life for your own sake, the rest of you alone made it all messy" Evan replied.

"Whether it is, from now on you no longer need to deal with Aleea, I don't care about him either" Nathan said.

"Are you going to divorce her?" ask Evan.

"No, I'll let him stay in my ward, but I'll stop pretending, I won't spend my time just pretending to love him" Nathan replied.

"Then what about him? didn't you think about it at all?" ask Evan.

"No, you don't have to think about it anymore either, whatever he's going to do, I don't care anymore" Nathan replied.

"What if he met someone in his past? what if he....."

"I don't care about Evan, even if his memory comes back I don't care, he wouldn't be able to get away from me if I hadn't let him go, you know that," nathan cut Evan's words.

"So from now on, enjoy your life like you didn't know Aleea yet, I won't ask you again about anything related to Aleea" Nathan continued.

"No Nathan, I can't do that" said Evan, to Nathan's surprise.

"Whatchu mean? what can't you do?" ask Nathan.

"I can't pretend I don't know him, I can't stop dealing with him, what happened to him and what he's living right now is because of the lies you've created and I've been pretty much involved with that lie Nathan" Evan explained.

"Do you like it? are you in love with her?" ask Nathan.

"It's not about like or love, I just feel guilty about her, I'm participating in the lies you've created in her life so how can I ignore her Nathan? it's just you and me that he trusts right now!"

"I don't care, I just need her to stay with me until I get what should be mine, once papa trusts me and gives her promise to me, I'll divorce her soon!" reply Nathan.

"What exactly makes you suddenly act like this to Nathan? didn't you tell me that you would treat her well even if you didn't love her?"

"He's done you harm, Evan, and it's a mistake I can't forgive, and I'm sick of pretending to love him anyway" Nathan replied.

"It wasn't Aleea...."

"Stop defending Evan, you almost made my heart stop beating when I heard you had an accident, you'd never know how scared I would be if I had to face the same thing as before!" nathan cut Evan's words.

"So I beg you, stop acting stupid and endangering your life just for the sake of others, you will ruin my life if you allow yourself to experience the bad things I fear!" continued Nathan.

"But don't cook me to stay away from Aleea, at least I can atone for my guilt towards her by being nice to her" Evan said.

"If you promise not to risk your life again!" said Nathan.

Evan just smiled by nodding his head slowly without saying anything.

I don't know what will happen to Aleea after this, but Evan promises himself to stay there when Aleea needs him.

Evan also still has the same hope, making Nathan devastated by the presence of Aleea nearby.

Although his current expectations feel increasingly distant, but Evan is convinced, there will always be a way in every hope.

Time passed, and for hours Nathan accompanied Evan to the hospital.

"Go home Nathan, I'm tired of seeing you here!" evan told Nathan.

"Why am I going home, I'm just getting more emotional when I see Aleea at home" Nathan replied.

"If you don't go, I'll call the doctor to get you out of here, I'll let the doctor know if your whereabouts bother me so much!" evan threatened.

"This is your reply to me who has given the best room in this hospital?" ask Nathan.

"I'm learning to think about myself, isn't that what you said to me!" evan answered with a faint smile.

"Well I'll go, call me if you need anything!" nathan then walked out of Evan's room.
