Nathan's indifference

When Evan touched Aleea's face, he realized that Aleea had a fever.

"You're Aleean fever!" evan said as he placed his palm on Aleea's forehead and cheeks.

Aleea groaned as Evan touched the bruise on her cheek.

"Why Aelea? are there any other injuries?" ask Evan to worry.

"Nothing, I....."

"Wait a minute, your cheek...Why bruise Aleea?" evan asked cutting Aleea off as he noticed a faint bruise visible on Aleea's cheek.

"No... It's not a bruise, I. I just used the wrong makeup," Aleea replied lying while slightly distancing her face from Evan.

"Honestly, Aleea, what happened? a cut on your forehead and a bruise on your cheek, not from yesterday's accident, right?" ask Evan.

"This injury on my forehead is because I slipped in the bathroom and this bruise, this is just because I used the wrong makeup so it looks like a bruise" Aleea replied.

"Aaaahhh yes, I came here to return your phone, yesterday the police gave it to me and I forgot to give it to you" Aleea continued trying to distract Evan.

"Thank you, were you injured in the accident yesterday?" evan asked at once.

"Only a small wound," Aleea replied as she showed some small wounds on her hands.

"I'm here to apologize to you, too, Evan, sorry that you had to lie here because of me and I'm so grateful that you helped me back then" Aleea continued.

"You shouldn't be apologizing to Aleea, it's not your fault!" said Evan.

"If Nathan could think like that too" Aleea said inwardly, bowing his head sadly.

"What's Aleea? did Nathan do anything to you?" evan asked who saw Aleea looking sad.

"No," Aleea replied with a quick shake of her head.

Aleea smiled for Evan to believe that he was okay.

"I know you're not okay Aleea" Evan said in his heart and pressed a button near his bed.

Shortly thereafter the sisters arrived.

"Please check on her condition, she has a fever and her forehead is injured" Evan told the nurse.

"I'm fine, Evan, I....."

"The more you say that, the more I'm sure you're not okay Aleea" Evan said, cutting Aleea's words.

The nurse then led Aleea out of Evan's room. After the sisters checked Aleea's condition and treated her injuries, Alee went back to Evan's room.

But Aleea hesitated to go back in, he did not want Evan to worry about him. As a result, Aleea chose to sit in front of Evan's room because he suddenly felt his body so limp.

Evan, who had been waiting for Aleea to return, tried to contact Aleea, but his phone ran out of power.

Evan got out of his bed, with an infusion pole with him, Evan came out of his room and was so surprised to see Aleea lying unconscious in the chair in front of his room.

"Aleea, wake up Aleea, wake up!" evan said as he patted Aleea's cheek gently.

It was then that Evan realized that the faint bruises on Aleea's cheeks were not due to make up but were indeed purplish bruises like slap marks.

Shortly after, a nurse walked through Evan's room and saw what happened to Aleea.

The nurse called another nurse and took Aleea to check on her condition.

"How's he doing doc? what happened to her?" evan asked the doctor who had just checked on Aleea.

"The patient's blood pressure is quite high, probably due to stress and a lot of pressure, we have done our best to normalize his blood pressure again and the patient will realize if his blood pressure has returned to normal," obviously doctor.

"Thank you doc" said Evan, who was nodding his head by the doctor.

Evan then sat down beside Aleea's bed, silent for a while staring at Aleea who was still closed in front of him.

"What did Nathan do to you Aleea? did Nathan hurt you too? why are you hiding it from me? is it because you love her?" inner Evan asked inwardly.

After a long while of waiting, Aleea began to slowly open her eyes.

"Evan.." call Aleea slowly.

Evan just smiled without saying anything. He wanted to ask Aleea a lot of things, but he felt it was not the right time to ask a lot of questions.

"Why am I here?" aelea asked as she tried to get up from her position.

"You passed out in front of my room, the doctor checked you out and the doctor told you not to stress too much, not to think too much about anything that made you depressed Aleea," Evan explained.

"I'm sorry to trouble you, Evan, I'd better go now" Aleea said as she tried to remove the infusion tube in her hand.

"No, you have to stay here, at least until the infusion runs out, which is what the doctor said," Evan said, holding Aleea's hand.

"I'm sorry Evan" Aleea said with her head lowered.

He suddenly felt so sad, not only because of his problem with Nathan, but also because he felt guilty for Evan.

A momentary emotion that made him unable to control his speech, subconsciously made him put out such evil words about Evan.

"Stop apologizing to Aleea, the accident wasn't your fault" Evan said.

"It's not about the accident, but there's something else that makes me apologize to you" Aleea said.

"What else do you mean?" evan asked not to understand.

"I'm really sorry, the momentary emotion made me unable to think clearly at the time" Aleea said, explaining what made her feel guilty about Evan.

Aleea's two eyes even glazed over as he explained it to Evan, but Aleea did not say if Nathan slapped him for it.

In contrast to Aleea who was sad because she felt guilty, Evan actually laughed when he heard the story of Aleea who said about the disgusting relationship between Nathan and Evan.

"Hahaha.... So all this time you've been thinking like that Aleea? hahaha....."

"Why are you laughing Evan? you can be mad at me, you can curse and yell at me for my stupid words!"

"Why am I mad at you Aleea? I can't possibly be angry just because of such a ludicrous thing" Evan replied.

"So... aren't you mad at me?" ask Aelea.

"Of course not" Evan replied while wiping away the tears that had just shed from both corners of Aleea's eyes.

"I'm sorry Evan, I really don't mean to say that, I just.

"I understand, there's no need to think too much about it because I'm not angry at you at all" Evan said.

"Your friendship makes me envious, I even feel that Nathan loves you more than I do" Aleea said with a smile.

"You're still Aleea's winner, because you have it all, '" replied Evan, who also smiled.

"Aaahh yeah, how are you? you haven't answered me yet" asked Aleea.

"As you can see, I'm fine, but Nathan is overdoing it and asked me to stay here for a few days" Evan replied.

"About the accident, I'm going to try to find out who was riding the bike, I'm going to prove to Nathan if I'm not guilty of the accident" Aleea said.

"Do you not know Aleea? the biker...he is dead!"

"What's? died?" asked Aleea who was so surprised to hear what Evan said.

"Yes, he died in a single accident last night, actually the police had managed to get his identity but he ran away and was still in the police search, but last night he was found dead in an accident," Evan explained.

As Aleea gnashed his forehead, he did not know how to explain to Nathan if he was innocent, because the only person who testified to the accident was dead.

"What are you thinking about Aleea?" ask Evan.

"I don't know how else to explain to Nathan, I think if the biker is arrested, he'll explain to Nathan if he's the one who's actually guilty of the accident" Aleea replied.

"Did Nathan blame you for all this?" asked Evan who was only replied to a nod of the head by Aleea.

"That's why I wasn't here when you just regained consciousness, Nathan forced me to leave before I could see how you were doing" Aleea said.

"I'm going to try to talk to Nathan, you don't have to do anything and just keep acting like you normally do to Nathan" Evan said.

"Thank you Evan, you're very kind to me, but I'm making you like this, I'm sorry" Aleea said, bowing her head.

"Why should I apologize? instead of spending time with you like yesterday is a very pleasant thing for me, who would have thought I would be a girlfriend who is the wife of my own best friend hehe." said Evan with a laugh.

Aleea smiled as she remembered it, just for the sake of getting free food, Aleea assented the waiters who thought that she and Evan were lovers.

"Spending time with you has always been a lot of fun for me, but I'm not sure if there are any more fun things we'll do after this" Aleea said.

"Of course there are and there will be many other fun things we can do" Evan replied.

Aleea simply smiled faintly without saying anything.

"Now rest, I also have to prepare myself to do a CT scan later" said Evan.

"CT scans? did something bad happen to you? what's...."

"No Aleea, the doctor was sure that I was okay, but Nathan forced me to keep doing a CT scan to make sure everything" Evan said, cutting off Aleea's alarming remarks.

"Hopefully everything is fine Evan, Nathan will surely hate me even more if something bad happens to you" Aleea said.

"That's not going to happen Aleea, everything will be fine" Evan replied.

"Have a rest and promise to come to my room before you leave the hospital, okay?" continued Evan who was met with a nod of the head and a smile by Aleea.

Evan then walked out of Aleea's room, while Aleea lay back on her bed.

Elsewhere, Nathan was meeting and finished at 11:30.

"You can go back to the office by yourself, right? I have to go somewhere else" Nathan asked Vina, who was with him.

"Can't I come with you?" ask Vina.

"Can't Vina, I'll book a taxi for you" Nathan replied.

"Alright," replied Vina.

After booking a taxi for Vina, Nathan drove his car towards the hospital. Arriving at the hospital, he immediately walked towards the doctor's room in charge of Evan's condition there.

After meeting the doctor, the doctor explained if Evan was fine and had undergone a CT scan which results will come out in a few days.

Nathan then walks towards Evan's room after he hears the doctor's explanation.

"Why are you so diligent here, Nathan? so early in the morning you came and now you're coming again!" evan asked when he saw Nathan coming into his room.

"I'm here to see the doctor, the doctor said the CT scan results will be out in a few days, so you have to stay here until the results come out" Nathan replied.

"Jeez Nathan, I'm so tired of being here all day, what's up to days just to wait for the CT scan!" evan protests.

"That's all you can do, if you don't want to do that, then don't act stupid again just to save others!" said Nathan.

"I don't intend to save Nathan, I just did what I had to do, I can't stand to watch the bike almost hit Aleea!" said Evan.

"Don't talk about it anymore!" nathan said as he dropped himself on the chair near Evan's bed.

"What did you do to him, Nathan? did you slap him?" evan asked, which made Nathan immediately bring his eyes to Evan.

"Did he see you? did he tell you?" evan asked back.

"So right you slapped him?" evan asked in surprise as he did not expect Nathan to do such a far-reaching thing to Aleea.

"I'm tired of pretending to love her, isn't I still good enough to give her a lot of spending money? so I no longer need to pretend in front of him!" said Nathan.

"You're really outrageous Nathan, he did come to see me, he came just to apologize and thank me, he even hid a bruise on his cheek so I wouldn't know about it, that means he's still thinking about you, Nathan, he's..."

"I don't care about Evan, don't ever talk to me about him again" Nathan interrupted Evan.

"What about the wound on his forehead? did you hurt her too?" ask Evan.

"No, I don't know if he's hurt" Nathan replied.

"He's in this hospital right now, he's being treated here because he passed out in front of my room, meet him and apologize to him" Evan said.

"That's something I wouldn't have done, nor would I care if he was treated here" Nathan replied.

"You really frustrated Nathan, you married him but you don't care about him at all, when you know he wasn't the cause of the accident!" evan was upset.

"I don't love her, Evan, what I care about her for!" reply Nathan.

"You....."

Evan stopped his words as he looked at Aleea who was standing in the gap of the door that was open at that moment.

"Aleea!"

Looking at Evan who mentioned Aleea by looking at the door, Nathan turned his back and saw Aleea standing with an infusion pole beside him.
