Love Without Memory

Evan is still in the basement with Rania, he is trying to think about the answer to Rania's question about the bag in his car.

But before Evan could say anything, a car entered the basement by honking a few times, making Evan and Rania immediately bring their gaze towards the car they knew.

Shortly after, Nathan gets out of his car and immediately approaches Evan, who is with Rania.

"No time to chat, let's go up!" nathan said then walked away followed by Evan and Rania.

"It's still early in the morning, brother, why are you leaving so early?" rania asked Nathan.

"Don't you know the answer? because today there is a big event!" reply Nathan.

"But brother is the boss here, there are many people under brother who will prepare everything" said Rania.

"You think the job of the boss is just to sit back and wait for results? no Rania!" said Nathan.

"Sister is too hard on yourself, try to enjoy life with a relaxed sis!" rania.

"There's no time to relax, you agree with me, right?" nathan replied as he asked with his eyes on Evan.

"This time I agree with Rania, you should have time to relax Nathan, continuous work will stress you out and get older faster hehe.." replied Evan.

"The two of you have conspired!" nathan said with a sigh.

"What if we go on vacation? brother Nathan, Rania, brother Evan and sister Aleea!" tanya Rania gave her advice.

"No" Nathan replied quickly.

"Agree," answered Evan who was no less fast with Nathan.

"But now two people agree, just ask for an answer from Aleea, if Aleea's brother agrees, Nathan's brother loses and must be willing to go on vacation, okay?"

"Sister is busy Rania, sister doesn't have time to play around like that!" nathan reasoned.

"For now until the next few days it is busy, but everything will be finished before the weekend, so we can go on vacation during the weekend!" obviously Evan.

"You can't lie to me Nathan, let's just say it's our break after a few days yesterday we spent a lot of time preparing for this event" Evan said.

"Hmmm..well, only if Aleea agrees to it, I won't leave if Aleea also disagrees and I'm sure Aleea won't agree" Nathan said with a smile.

"So sure!" rania sneered.

The elevator door opened, Rania took her steps out first.

"Sister Evan didn't come down here?" rania asked Evan who was still in the elevator.

"There's something I have to take in my room, you just go!" evan answered reasoned.

Evan actually has to go down on the same floor as Rania, but Evan deliberately follows Nathan because there is something Evan has to say to Nathan.

"About the holidays that Rania was talking about, if you don't agree, don't force Aleea to agree with you, Nathan, what else is there to do violence to her!" evan told Nathan.

"Without me forcing her she would definitely not agree, it must be very uncomfortable to have to pretend in front of Rania" Nathan replied.

"But I can't promise not to force her to agree with me" Nathan continued.

TRIIING

The elevator door opens, Nathan walks out but is soon prevented and is pulled back in by Evan.

"What's Evan?" nathan asked surprised by what Evan had done to him.

Evan then pushes a button that will take them to the rooftop.

"Why are we going to the rooftop?" ask Nathan.

"I can't do it in front of other people" Evan replied.

"Do what?" nathan didn't understand.

Evan remained silent until the elevator stopped and opened on the top floor of the building. Evan then got out of the elevator and walked towards the rooftop.

With hesitation, Nathan follows Evan's steps even though he has no idea what Evan really wants to do with him there.

"Did you remember your first meeting with Aleea, Nathan?" ask Nathan.

"Remember, why are you suddenly talking about it? we don't have time to discuss this Evan!" reply Nathan.

"You ran him over and made him lose his memory" Evan said.

"He who ran towards the highway while the crossing light was still on red, so it wasn't my fault!" reply Nathan.

"Aleea wouldn't have gotten hit by you if you had focused on driving your car back then Nathan, you must have thought about what your parents said about the wedding that made you unable to focus and ended up bumping into Aleea, didn't you?"

Nathan let out a rough sigh by taking his eyes off Evan.

"Aleea's just an ordinary girl you forced into your life Nathan, saving her back then was your responsibility because you hit her and waited for her until she realized it was your choice, the choice you made to fulfill your selfishness!" said Evan.

"What's wrong with you, Evan? why are you suddenly talking about this? did he say anything to you?" ask Nathan.

"You just need to remember Nathan, you brought Aleea into your life, you started all these lies and pretended to love him was a decision you made alone without anyone's coercion, so shouldn't you be responsible for your decision!"

"I brought him into my life just because to use him Evan, you know that!" reply Nathan.

"I know, if you're still using him for your own sake, take good care of him Nathan, he'll leave if you keep hurting him!" said Evan.

"She won't be able to leave, she'll stay with me until I don't need her anymore, with the contract you've made, I can do anything to her until I'm bored," nathan said with a faint smile and turned around and was about to leave.

But Evan quickly pulls Nathan's shoulder and pushes him against the wall. Emotionally, Evan clutches Nathan's shirt collar.

Even Nathan was just silent, he did not expect that Evan would do that to him.

"I've always obeyed all your commands with no regrets at all, but this time you've made me live with the guilt that bothered me so much Nathan!" evan was full of emotion.

Nathan smiled faintly at Evan's words. Surprised by what Evan is doing, Nathan tries to stay calm.

"It looks like he's already managed to tease you, does he tease you with his body? is he....."

"Aleea isn't that lowly girl Nathan!" said Evan who is getting emotional by getting tighter gripping on the collar of Nathan's shirt.

"You're just telling me if you need it to get this company, I'm helping you without asking as much questions as you normally would, but that doesn't mean you can do everything you want with him Nathan!" evan told Nathan.

"She's just an unlucky girl who met you, isn't lying about her life enough for you? why did you have to physically hurt Nathan too?" evan asked.

Nathan was silent, there was not a word he said at the time. Evan sighed violently and then released his grip on Nathan's shirt collar by slightly pushing Nathan's body against the wall.

"I wouldn't be like this if you hadn't hurt Nathan, I helped you perfect your lie not to see him bruise and bruise every day, what happened to her made me feel guilty and it bothered me a lot!" said Evan.

"I could really go crazy if I lingered with this guilt!" continued Evan while ruffling his hair violently.

Nathan was silent, watching and listening to everything Evan told him.

As long as they were friends, Nathan had never seen Evan look as upset as he was then.

"I don't care whether you love him or not, whether you care about him or not, but I just ask one Nathan, don't hurt him, don't hurt him, seeing him hurt and sad because you really make me tormented with this guilt, I beg you to understand Nathan" said Evan.

Evan pleaded with Nathan's eyes and walked away from Nathan. Nathan was still standing in his place, silent without saying anything.

"Are you really in love with Evan?" nathan asked in his heart.

Nathan let out a long sigh, dropping himself by crouching against the wall, staring far away with his empty eyes.

Nathan's cell phone rang, a call from his co-worker.

"I'll be there soon" Nathan said, then moved on and left the rooftop by tidying up the collar of his shirt that had looked chaotic.

Time passed, the clock had shown at 12 noon when Evan was still busy checking one by one the preparation of the event which was several hours away.

Suddenly Rania came wearing quite revealing clothes.

"Rania, why are you wearing clothes like this?" evan asked in surprise.

"How sis? does Rania look like a grown-up now?" rania replied asking while twisting her body in front of Evan.

"No, I really don't like this kind of outfit, '" Evan replied, taking off his suit and putting it on Rania.

"Why brother? Rania has to wear this outfit to perform at the show later!"

"No, you need to change your clothes right now!" evan said as he held onto both of Rania's shoulders and took her walking towards the wardrobe room.

"Replace her clothes with clothes that match her age, she's not even 20 yet!" evan told the wardrobe in charge.

"Good sir."

"But kaakk....."

"Nothing but Rania, don't try to wear such clothes again in front of me!" evan cuts off Rania's words.

Rania only snorted in annoyance and then walked after the woman who was about to change her clothes.

As for Evan, take his steps out to finish his other work.

Time passed, the event that Evan and his team had prepared finally went smoothly according to the plan.

No serious problems occurred, all of them could be easily solved by Evan and his team because of their hard work and compactness.

Mama and papa Nathan even directly thanked Evan because Evan could handle the event very well and gave results that far exceeded the expectations of mama and papa Nathan.

On the other hand, Nathan only smiled faintly when he saw his mama and papa who were praising Evan.

It is undeniable, Evan has always done his job very well and thoroughly.

The night is getting late, Evan and his team get together after the event is completely finished.

"Thank you for all of your hard work, our success this time is due to our hard work and cohesiveness!" said Evan who was greeted by applause all who were there.

After saying a few things to his entire team, Evan and the others left the venue.

"Eventually all this busyness is finished" said Vina who was in an elevator with Evan.

"Thank you for your hard work Vina, I know today's event has taken up a lot of your time for the past few days" said Evan.

"I always try to give my best for my work" Vina replied.

The elevator stops, the elevator door opens and Nathan gets into the elevator.

"We succeeded Nathan, this time the event was a great success!" vina said to Nathan excitedly.

"I've seen it, thank you for your hard work!" reply Nathan.

"Is it just thanks? isn't there anything else you want to give me?" ask Vina spoiledly.

Evan then pressed the elevator button and soon the elevator door opened. Evanpun came out of the elevator even though there were actually still a few more floors that he had to pass to get to the basement.

Seeing Evan's attitude, Nathan just keeps quiet and tries to look okay. What had happened between the two of them in the rooftop made them suddenly feel awkward for each other.

At exactly 11 p.m., Nathan had just left the office and drove his car home.

Ever since the rooftop incident, Nathan has always thought about what Evan told him. There is absolutely no feeling of anger in him after what Evan did to him, instead he feels guilty because it has made Evan tormented with the guilt that Evan felt so far.

Arriving home, Nathan immediately took his steps in and climbed the stairs.

Nathan walked up to Aleea's room and knocked on her door a few times until aunty suddenly came up to him.

"Sorry sir, non Aleea hasn't come home yet" she told Nathan.

"Not home yet?" nathan asked repeating his aunt's words while looking at her watch.

"Why has Aleea been coming home all night lately?" nathan asked in his heart.

Soon there were footsteps climbing the stairs and Aleea who was walking with a lethargic look on her face.

"Where have you been Aleea?" nathan asked Aleea.

"I'm so tired Nathan, don't take me noisily now, slap me and let me rest!" reply Aleea.

"I don't care what you're doing out there, but you have to remember that everyone knows you as my wife, so take care of your attitude and don't do anything that can tarnish my good name and family!" said Nathan.

"I see," Aleea replied as she opened the door of her room then entered and closed it just like that.

He was very tired and had no energy to argue with Nathan.
