A Tasteless Relationship

Time passed, the clock had already shown 1 noon when Nathan had just finished meeting his client with Vina.

Nathan then invited Vina to lunch at a restaurant not far from where they were meeting.

"I've been looking into some of the hotels that are here, we....."

"We're going home after lunch, so there's no need to book a hotel" Nathan said, cutting off Vina's remarks.

"Going home? are you serious?" ask Vina in disbelief.

"Of course, we're here just for work and our work is done, so we have to go home soon" Nathan replied.

"It's not usually like you like this Nathan, at least we stay here and come back tomorrow morning" said Vina.

"I've been feeling guilty for forgetting to tell Aleea that I had to go out of town today, so I have to go home as soon as I finish my work here" Nathan replied.

"But......"

"It doesn't matter if you want to stay here, I'll go home by myself" said Nathan, cutting Vina's words and sipping his drink and calling waiters to pay for his food.

Vina just snorted annoyedly at Nathan's changed attitude. Nathan always took the time to just walk around with him if they did work out of town.

But that day, Nathan had to return home immediately and of course it made Vina very upset.

Vina is increasingly upset because Nathan who moved from his seat and left just like that, Vinapun immediately walked quickly to follow Nathan.

"You're such a bitch!" vina said annoyed as she sat in the car.

Nathan smiled without saying anything and drove his car away from the restaurant.

After nearly 2 hours on the way, Nathan arrived at Vina's residence. He soon continued his journey home, but before that Nathan decided to buy a necklace that he would give Aleea.

Nathan hopes the necklace will improve Aleea's mood because he knows Aleea is upset with him when he suddenly leaves with Vina.

As time passed, Nathan arrived at his home when the sun was about to set. Nathan immediately took his steps into Aleea's room, knocking on her door several times until Aleea finally opened her bedroom door.

Aleea just kept quiet without saying anything and continued to read the book on her bed, not caring about Nathan standing at the door of her room.

"Are you still mad at me?" nathan asked with his step into Aleea's room.

Aleea simply shook her head with her gaze focused on reading the book in her hands.

Nathan then took the necklace he had just bought and showed it right in front of Aleea's face.

Although a little surprised, Aleea remained silent. Nathan then put the necklace on Aleea's neck.

"Did you give me this necklace so I wouldn't get mad?" ask Aelea.

"This is my apology Aleea" replied Nathan.

"You don't have to spend your money just to apologize to me" Aleea said.

"Didn't you like the necklace?" ask Nathan.

"It's not about the necklace, it's about your attitude!" reply Aleea.

Nathan let out a long sigh then sat down before Aleea. Nathan took the book out of Aleea's hands and grabbed Aleea's hands and held onto it.

"I'm sorry Aleea, I promise something like this won't happen again" Nathan said, staring into Aleea's eyes.

"I'm so tired of Aleea, we'll talk again later tonight" Nathan said, moving out of his seat and out of Aleea's room.

After Nathan came out, Aleea immediately closed the door of his room and locked it tightly. He was so upset to see Nathan's attitude.

"I'm sure there's something I don't know about my relationship with Nathan, seeing his attitude like this it's impossible if I decide to marry him" Aleea said.

Aleea let out a long sigh then dropped herself on the bed.

"Can I not love him?" aelea asked herself.

Time passed, the clock was already showing at 7pm when Nathan knocked on Aleea's room door.

Aleea then opened her bedroom door and found Nathan standing in front of her bedroom door.

"Auntie has prepared dinner" Nathan said.

Aleea then walked out of her room to the dining table with Nathan.

Aleea and Nathan enjoyed their dinner with silence, no conversation or just a short chat between the two of them.

Nathan, who had no experience with women, did not know what to do at the time.

He thought Aleea would forgive him with just the expensive necklace he gave Aleea. But it turns out that Nathan was wrong, Aleea still silently ignored him.

After finishing her dinner, Aleea moved from her seat to go to her room, but Nathan immediately restrained Aleea's hand.

"Aleea, stop acting like this to me, what do I have to do to make you forgive me?" nathan asked at once.

"Can I be honest with you?" reply Aleea asked.

"Of course you can" replied Nathan.

Aleea then took herself to sit on the sofa in the living room, followed by Nathan who then sat beside Aleea.

"I still don't remember anything about Nathan's past, but until now I still don't understand our relationship, I don't even know if I used to love him or not" Aleea said.

"I know you love me Aleea, we love each other and....."

"What if I don't really love you?" aelea asked, cutting Nathan's words.

"What do you mean Aleea? why are you suddenly asking like that?"

"Sometimes I feel like our relationship is so bland Nathan, you're good even if you ignore me sometimes and I can't feel anything at all when I'm with you, I'm like..... with strangers I don't know" Aleea explained.

"Aleaea....."

"Would we just end this?" aelea asked that made Nathan so surprised.

"What do you mean Aleea? why do you suddenly want to end our relationship? I know you've lost all your memories, but ending our relationship isn't exactly Aleea's solution!"

"What if it turns out I didn't really love you Nathan all this time? what if all this time I was just using you to help me out of all my problems? isn't that unfair to you, too?" ask Aelea.

"I don't care if you just use me, which I know we love and agree to marry, so no matter what happens we'll continue our relationship in accordance with our agreement," nathan said with great decisiveness and then walked away.

Aleea only let out a long sigh and then got up from her seat and walked into her room.
