Waiting for Nathan

The clock has shown at 6 pm but Nathan has not yet arrived at his house, while Aleea is still waiting for Nathan's arrival on the porch of his house.

With the twilight slowly turning dark, Aleea then walked into her room. Aleea checked his phone and there were no incoming messages or calls from Nathan at all.

"Will he be late again today?" inner Aleea asked inwardly.

The clock had shown at 8 pm, but Aleea who sat on the balcony since then had not seen any signs of Nathan's return.

Aleea then contacted Nathan but his call went unanswered. Aleea also sent a message to Nathan and for more than an hour there was no reply from Nathan.

"Is he really mad at me? shouldn't I be the one who's mad at her?" aelea asked herself.

Aleea let out a long sigh and took herself to sit on the living room couch to wait for Nathan's return.

"It's not the time to look for who's wrong, but at least she should explain to me about her relationship with Vina" Aleea said in her heart.

Many times Aleea saw the clock on his phone, but until more than 11 pm, Nathan had not yet returned home.

Without Aleea knowing, Nathan was out of town with Vina for work they had actually finished since 8 p.m.

"I don't want to go home tonight" Nathan told Vina while they were inside the hotel.

"What if we stay at a hotel?" ask Vina to give her advice.

Nathan just nodded his head then drove his car towards the hotel and booked 2 rooms for himself and Vina.

"I'm not sleepy yet Nathan, should we go to the bar first?" vina said at once asking.

Again Nathan just nodded his head and went to the bar in the same building as the hotel where they were staying.

Nathan accidentally spends his night with Vina as he still feels annoyed at Aleea.

Nathan feels Aleea makes his life more complicated because he always blames things that Nathan considers trivial and always asks a lot of things that Nathan thinks are not important to discuss.

"How can I survive this marriage, just a few days married to him has made my life more complicated," Nathan said, staring at the small glass in his hand.

"What are you thinking about Nathan? just tell me" Vina asked Nathan.

Nathan just shook his head without saying anything. After a long time at the bar, Nathan took Vina away from the bar after Vina appeared drunk.

Nathan escorts Vina to the room that Nathan had ordered for Vina. But when Nathan just laid Vina in bed, Vina pulled Nathan's hand, holding Nathan back from leaving him.

"Can't you stay with me Nathan? don't you also need someone who can accompany you?" vina asked with her two eyes that were smelly from drunkenness.

"I'm going to sleep in my room, you're going to sleep because we have to go home tomorrow morning" Nathan replied, releasing his hand from Vina.

But when Nathan was about to get out of Vina's room, Vina immediately ran over and hugged Nathan from behind.

"I don't care if you already have Nathan's wife, I don't care if I have to be second in your life, as long as you stay with me like this" Vina said.

Nathan just smiled then lifted Vina's body and laid Vina on the bed.

"Sleep" Nathan said as he pulled out a blanket to cover Vina's body.

Nathan then walks out of Vina's room and into her own room. Although her marriage to Aleea was not the marriage she wanted and she did not love Aleea at all.

But that does not mean Nathan can do things outside the limits with other women, especially on Vina who always teases him.

For Nathan, togetherness with Vina other than because the work is just for fun, no more than that.

Time passed, the clock was already showing at 6am when Nathan and Vina left the hotel.

"Aaahhh my head is so dizzy" said Vina as she was in the car with Nathan.

"You had too much to drink last night" Nathan replied.

"It seems so," said Vina.

"I'll take you home, you can rest all day to recover" Nathan said.

"What about meeting with clients from China?" ask Vina.

"I'm going with Evan, it doesn't seem like your circumstances are good enough to keep me company with clients" Nathan replied.

"I just need a little break Nathan, I will prepare myself well for the meeting later in the afternoon" said Vina.

"We'll see if you're ready enough to meet with a client later in the day" Nathan replied.

After some time on the way, Nathan arrived at Vina's house. After driving Vina, Nathan drove his car home.

Just as Nathan opened the door of his house, Aleea was already standing behind the door with the look of her face trying to resist the emotion of wanting to explode.

How not, all night Aleea waited for Nathan in the living room but Nathan did not also go home and did not even give him any news at all.

"This is how you appreciate me as your wife, Nathan?" aelea asked by walking after Nathan.

"I'm so tired of Aleea, please don't bother me" Nathan said, continuing to take his steps towards his room.

"Do you think I'm not tired? all night I waited for you to come home Nathan, I....."

Aleea stopped her words as Nathan halted his steps and turned his back to look at Aleea.

"Nobody asked you to wait for me Aleea, if you're tired of resting, don't look for an excuse to make a scene with me" Nathan said, staring into Aleea's eyes.

"I've been very busy with my work, I've been here and there to finish my work, can't you just shut up and don't bother me, Aleea?" continued Nathan.

"Is my presence here bothering you, Nathan? should I not be here?" aelea asked with Nathan's sharp gaze back at her.

Nathan only let out a long sigh then continued his steps to enter his room by slamming the door of his room.

Aleea simply stayed where she stood with her two teary eyes.

"I can't cry, I don't know what I was like in the past, but I won't be a weak woman now" Aleea said, taking a deep breath and exhaling slowly.

Aleea then walked away from Nathan's room and chose to keep himself busy by taking care of his plants in his yard.

Time passed, the clock was already showing at 1pm as Nathan walked down the stairs in his neat clothes.

"Do you want to go again? with Vina again?" aelea asked Nathan.

"I went to meet Aleea's client, not to have fun with Vina," Nathan replies.

"Go and come home as soon as you finish your work, there's a lot of things we need to talk about" Aleea said.

Nathan just shut up and walked away.
