Evan's Regret

After Nathan escorted the Mama out of the house, Nathan immediately took his steps up the stairs, intending to meet Aleea.

After hearing the doctor's explanation of Aleea's current state, Nathan felt guilty for already saying something that made Aleea angry.

Nathanpun intended to apologize to Aleea, but he stopped his steps when he heard Aleea talking and mentioned Evan by name.

For a moment Nathan was silent, standing in front of Aleea's slightly open door.

Nathan then undoes his intention to meet Aleea, choosing to go into his room as he believes Evan will soon come when Evan learns how Aleea is doing.

"What exactly did they do from morning till night and from where did Aleea eat the venison? did Evan take her?" nathan asked in his heart.

Nathan let out a long sigh and took the laptop at the desk and took it out of the room and into his study.

Nathan wanted to concern himself with focusing on doing some office work rather than thinking about what Aleea and Evan really looked like.

"I was just pretending to care about her, so I didn't have to really care much less find out about her relationship with Evan" Nathan told himself.

As Nathan had guessed, Evan soon drove his car out of the apartment after he heard what had happened to Aleea back then.

After some time on the way, Evanpun arrived and immediately brought himself into Nathan's house.

"Evan wants to see Aleea bi, she's in her room right?" evan asked auntie.

"Looks like yes" replied the aunt hesitated.

"Evan excuse me" said Evan then ran up the stairs.

Evan then took his steps towards Aleea's room, knocking on the door several times before he opened it.

"Am I interrupting?" asked Evan who was still standing on the door opening slightly.

"No, come in" Aleea replied as she carried herself away from her lying position.

"I'm sorry Aleea, I shouldn't have asked you to eat that venison" Evan said.

"There's no need to apologize Evan, if yesterday I hadn't tried to eat it maybe my whole life I would never have known what venison tastes like" Aleea replied.

"But it makes you sick like this, I'm really very sorry" Evan said as he unscrewed the bottle.

"I made this drink myself, hopefully it can relieve the nausea that you feel at this time," Evan continued and gave the bottle to Aleea.

"Thank you Evan" Aleea said, drinking the drink.

"It felt warm and very comfortable in my stomach which has since felt nauseous" Aleea said.

"Good then, what about Nathan? where is he now?" evan asked at once.

Aleea simply shook her head by raising both of her shoulders without saying anything.

"Let it be, I'm more comfortable alone than having to be accompanied by Nathan" Aleea replied.

"But after all he's still responsible for you Aleea, as long as you're still tied up in a marriage like it or not he's responsible for whatever happens to you" Evan said.

"No Evan, no, after she says that if she doesn't love me that's when I release myself from this unhealthy relationship and I will take responsibility for myself even though I'm still in this marriage bond," reply Aleea.

"Nathan must have had a reason why he didn't divorce me, there must be something he's hiding that he can't tell me and I just have to wait until he doesn't need me and then divorce me!" Aelea.

"You don't need to think about that Aleea, now rest for your condition to improve soon!" said Evan.

Aleea simply nodded her head and then turned back to lie down.

Evan then walked out of Aleea's room and took his steps to Nathan's room, he knocked on the door several times but there was no answer, Evan took his step towards Nathan's study and knocked him several times before he opened it.

After seeing Nathan in his study, Evanpun came in and took his step to sit in front of Nathan.

"You know what happened to Aleea, don't you?" asked Evan who only answered a nod of the head by Nathan.

"Then why are you here? why don't you accompany her? aren't you worried about her?" ask Evan.

Nathan just kept quiet with his focus on the laptop and the files on his desk as if he ignored Evan's words.

"She's your wife Nathan, as long as you haven't divorced her she's your responsibility, if you still need her you should take good care of her, can't you do that?" evan said at once asking in annoyance.

Nathan then brought his gaze to Evan, he just fell silent for a while without saying anything then smiled thinly and refocused with the laptop before him.

"Punish him if you don't need him and treat him well if you still need him!" said Evan.

"You know I still need him, Evan, I'm even trying to get close to him, but he's always avoiding me and getting away from me" Nathan replied, closing the file in front of him and putting it on top of another pile of files.

"You must remember what you did to him, right? you made him believe that you were a man who loved him very much, but in the blink of an eye you turned into a monster who behaved very badly to him!" said Evan.

"So don't blame her if she's now avoiding you even when you're trying to show her how you feel, because she might not trust you at all!" continued Evan.

"I've never been in contact with any woman in my life and Aleea is the only woman I've allowed into my life, so it's not easy for me to learn how to treat her well," nathan

"But that doesn't mean you should treat her badly!" reply Evan.

"She's so complicated, Evan, you're probably close to her and you're just looking at her kindness without you knowing how her bad attitude is that makes you always stand up for whatever she's doing!" said Nathan.

"How he behaves depends on how you treat him, I think that's a basic thing you should know!" said Evan.

"Now it's up to you, Nathan, but for sure I won't let you hurt him and if you still need him I beg you very much please treat him well!" evan then got up from his seat and walked out of Nathan's study

Nathan just stayed in his place, staring at Evan who had come out of his study.

"What exactly makes you like him so much, Evan? what exactly has she done that could make you fall in love with her?" nathan asked himself.
