Aelea's Doubts

After Nathan met his aunt, he returned to Aleea in the living room.

"I've asked my aunt to prepare a room for you, you can rest after this" Nathan told Aleea.

"Nathan, may I ask you something?" asked Aleea suddenly.

"What do you want, baby? just say it," Nathan replied.

"I'd be so bored if I just stayed home, could I work?"

"Darling, this would-be husband of yours is the CEO of a large company that is well known to many, so how could I let you work for someone else" Nathan replied disapprovingly of Aleea's remarks.

"Then I will create a small business that I run from home, you can provide capital for me and I will return it after my business runs," Aleea said.

Nathan shook his head then clasped Aleea's hand.

"Dead counting the days we're gonna marry Aleea, I'm gonna be your husband and you're gonna be my wife, I'm gonna make sure everything you want and need is met, she said, so you don't have to spend your time running a business or anything like that" Nathan said.

"So can I just stay home after we get married?" ask Aelea.

"This has been our deal, baby, you've agreed to it, too" Nathan replied.

"really? but I don't seem to be the kind of woman who likes to stay at home, just imagining it makes me very bored!" aelea.

"As my wife you should be able to take good care of yourself Aleea, a lot of eyes will be on you, so you should be careful not to make mistakes that could affect me and my work, you understand what I mean!"

"I'm sorry Nathan, I really lost all my memories in the past, I don't know how I used to be in a relationship with you, nor do I know what deals I've made with you," aelea replied by lowering her head.

"I understand your situation, baby, don't make it too much as a burden, I will try to understand you and you must be able to understand me, too" Nathan said with Aleea's head to lean on his shoulder.

For a while they just fell silent without talking to each other. Aleea was still thinking about what Nathan had told her, about her being able to stay at home without doing anything.

For some reason Aleea seemed to balk at that, Aleea felt that what Nathan said was not something Aleea would agree to if they were going to make a deal by then.

But Aleea could not argue with what Nathan said, because indeed he did not remember anything about his past even about himself.

Either now her personality had changed or there was something else Aleea did not know, but there must have been a bit of hesitation in Aleea's heart after she knew how she was going to live her life which she found so boring.

Unlike Aleea, Nathan instead thought hard to make Aleea believe all her words.

However, Nathan must keep Aleea close to him and won't let Aleea get close to anything related to his past, as Nathan doesn't want Aleea's memory to return at any moment.

"You'll be mine as long as I need you Aleea, I'll never let you go as long as I want" Nathan said inwardly as Aleea's soft-haired bride.

Nathan then escorted Aleea to one of the rooms, they both entered the room and without hesitation Aleea laid her body on the bed in the room.

"Sleep well and don't think about anything that's weighing on you" Nathan said as he pulled a blanket over Aleea.

Nathan then exited the room, walking towards his study to continue his work.

A long night has passed. Aleea had been up since morning to help auntie cook in the kitchen.

Aleea then helped auntie to prepare food at the dinner table and shortly afterwards Nathan went down the stairs and walked towards the dining table.

"What are you doing Aleea? did you help auntie in the kitchen?" nathan asked with a nod of his head from Aleea.

"You don't have to do that, baby, just sit back and wait for your aunt to get everything ready for you" Nathan said.

"Why can't I do anything, Nathan? why do you keep me from doing anything I want, even just helping my aunt, why?" aelea asked in annoyance.

"Darling, I....."

"You're just asking me to stay home doing nothing, just imagining it's really boring me, I don't know how I could make a deal like that with you, either my present personality is different from the one I used to be or there is something else I don't know" Aleea said, cutting out Nathan's words.

Hearing what Aleea said, Nathan immediately brought his steps closer to Aleea and brought Aleea to sit on a chair.

"Don't think too far Aleea, there's nothing I'm hiding from you, I just don't want you to get tired of helping auntie, I just don't want you to, seeing you who was critical in the hospital because of the accident made me very devastated at that time, so I don't want anything bad to happen to you again" Natan said.

"I'm sorry if what I'm doing makes you feel uncomfortable, I just want to take care of you Aleea" Nathan continued, clasping Aleea's hand.

"I don't know anything about my life, not even about myself Nathan, I just trust you, I just know everything about you, but hearing the deal you're talking about makes me doubtful, because I feel like I wouldn't be me if I made a deal like that with you" Aleea said.

"Then what should I do to make you believe me Aleea? I don't want accidents to happen either, nor do I know if maybe they're changing your thinking, making some things in you different from what you used to be!"

Aleea pulled her hand from Nathan's grasp and moved from her seat.

"I want to go home" Aleea said, walking away and Nathan quickly chased after Aleea and held her back.

"Don't leave me angry like this, you don't know how broken I was when I almost lost you, you drove me so crazy Aleea, you made me almost end my life because of that accident!" said Nathan.

Aleea who was immediately speechless to hear what Nathan said, he did not expect that the accident that happened to him turned out to affect Nathan greatly.

"I'm sorry if my attitude has gone too far to take care of you, I just want you to stay by my side Aleea, that's all" Nathan said, staring into Aleea's eyes.
