Love Without Memory
Nathan and Evan's friendship

Nathan is still with his mother, trying to convince her that there is no connection between Aleea and Evan.

"Nathan, please don't think too far about Aleea and Evan, they are two people that Nathan really believes in and Nathan hopes you can trust them too" Nathan told his mother.

"Wouldn't we not trust others too much, Nathan? we don't even know what's on their minds!" reply Hanna.

"Mama's right, but that doesn't apply to Aleea and Evan, Aleea is the woman Nathan loves while Evan is Nathan's best friend, you remember not how Evan almost lost his life for Nathan's sake?"

Hanna was silent for a while, her memories reviewing past events that were not supposed to happen.

Hanna understands how close Nathan and Evan have been since they were in school. He also knows that Evan helped Nathan a lot in solving his problems at school.

**Nathan and Evan's past Flashbacks**

"Today you're gonna have to stay at Nathan's house, those guys are gonna be after you to get revenge on Papa!" aryan said to Nathan who was still sitting in High School.

"But today Nathan's basketball team has to compete, Nathan has to keep going to school!" nathan's Protest.

"No, Nathan, if you need me and papa will send you overseas as soon as possible!" sahut Hanna's.

"Mama and papa are so overrated, Nathan is going to play basketball with a lot of people around Nathan, nobody is going to hurt Nathan!" said Nathan.

"No, you can't get out of this room before mom and dad get your move overseas!" hanna said, exiting Nathan's room by closing the door and locking it from the outside.

Nathan clenched his hands together with anger in him. He felt that both his parents had been very excessive in guarding him just because of the threat of his parents' corporate rivals.

Without thinking, Nathan immediately contacted Evan and told Evan what was going on with him.

"I can't stay here Evan, we've been training to be in this championship!" nathan told Evan.

"But what if what your parents were worried about really happened? isn't there a big problem in your papa's company?" ask Evan.

"I don't care, it's their problem, not mine, now all we have to think about is how I can keep up with that basketball game!" reply Nathan.

Evan was silent for a while, thinking of ways to help his best friend.

"Can you get out of your room?" ask Evan.

"I could have gotten out of the room, but I couldn't get out of the house because there were so many people standing guard in front of the house" Nathan replied.

"Then get out of your room, I'll be there in my hoodie jersey, after that we exchange clothes and you get out of the house in my clothes" Evan said.

"Then you're gonna come out wearing my clothes after I get out?" ask Nathan.

"Yaapp, that's right!" reply Evan.

"Good idea, I'll get ready now, get out before we're too late!" said Nathan.

After his call ended, Nathan picked up his bag containing his clothes to play basketball and walked out of his room through the window.

Despite being on the second floor, Nathan was able to descend the balcony slowly and carefully until he finally dropped himself in the yard next to his house without anyone knowing.

On the other hand, Evan who had just arrived was immediately notified by the security guard if Nathan was not allowed to attend the basketball game that day.

"Evan has to meet him, sir, just to make sure Nathan can still see his friend, right?"

"Alright, but not for too long" the security guard replied.

After being allowed to enter, Evan quietly walked to the courtyard beside Nathan's house where Nathan was waiting for him.

Evanpun immediately took off his clothes and gave them to Nathan.

"Do I look like you?" nathan asked after he wore a hoodie jersey with Evan's name on the back.

Evan simply nodded his head with a smile while covering Nathan's head with his hoodie hood.

"Submit your head and run slowly, there is a taxi waiting right in front of the gate" said Evan.

"Thank you Evan, you are always reliable, after I leave you must also leave quickly, I am waiting for you at the match place!" said Nathan who only answered a nod of the head by Evan.

Nathan then walks away, he runs past the guards at his home security station and immediately enters the taxi without suspicion of anyone there.

After confirming that Nathan had made it out, he left, Evanpun immediately wore a hoodie jersey that read Nathan's name on the back and then covered his head with a hood and ran quickly through the security guard post which of course was immediately detained by the guards there.

But when Evan took off his hoodie and straightened his head, everyone was shocked when they thought the person they were holding was Nathan.

"Hehe... sorry, excuse me!" evan said with a chuckle and immediately ran away.

The security guard and the guards immediately informed Nathan's parents about it.

Nathan's parents immediately asked the guards at home to look for Nathan's whereabouts they thought were at the basketball game.

But when just the guards' car came out of the gate of the house, a car was seen speeding and hit a man with a hoddie jersey that read Nathan's name on the back.

Seeing that, the guards immediately called the security guard at the security guard post to check on Evan who had been splattered with blood.

After Evan is handled by the security guard, the guards immediately chase the car that hit Evan.

Long story short, the car that hit Evan thought that if the one who ran out of the house using a hoodie jersey was Nathan, they accidentally hit him on the orders of someone who was a rival of Nathan's parent company.

Evan was critically ill in the hospital for more than a month, while his corporate rival Nathan's parents were thrown into prison with his men involved in the incident.

"If it wasn't for Nathan asking for help, it would have been Nathan who should have been lying critically in the hospital instead of Evan" Nathan said, regretting what had happened.

"Evan was so stupid, he just thought about how to help Nathan without thinking about the bad possibilities that could happen to him" Nathan continued by covering his face with both hands.

"Please promise to keep your friendship Nathan, it's not easy to get a friend as sincere as Evan" Aryan said, patting Nathan's shoulder gently.

In the end, Evan made it through his critical period and returned to live his days with fun with Nathan.

The two of them actually become inseparable close friends even until they graduate from High School until they go to college and enter the workforce.

**flashback off**

Aleea who had just returned from the backyard immediately walked over to Nathan who was sitting alone with Hanna.

Looking at Aleea walking towards him, Nathan immediately moved from his seat, pulled Aleea's hand and landed a brief kiss on Aleea's forehead which of course left Aleea so shocked.

"Nathan and Aleea went home first ma," Nathan told his mother and walked away with Aleea's hand.

"What are you talking about with Mama, Nathan?" aelea asked as they were already in the car.

"Just discuss the office, why?" reply Nathan.

"I'm just.. I'm a little surprised, because you're suddenly....."

"I'm sorry if what I did was too much" Nathan said, cutting Aleea off.

"Nothing is too much Nathan, nor should you apologize for doing so, isn't that a natural thing to do again by a husband and wife?" reply Aleea.

"Do you regret it?" aelea asked with a changed look on her face.

"No, I'm just... I'm not used to doing that because we're not the kind of couple that likes to do that, you know what I mean, right?"

"But what you're doing isn't Nathan's fault, it's just that I feel really good" Aleea said.

"The Aleea I know isn't like that, she'll feel uncomfortable with such things!" nathan said reasoned that he had deliberately done it in front of his mother to convince her that he really loved Aleea.

"What if I've changed? what if I feel happy about it? do you want to do it every day?" ask Aelea.

Nathan shook his head slowly with a smile that of course made Aleea to sing his lips because he felt rejection from Nathan.

"Stay be yourself Aleea, we will only feel uncomfortable if we force something we don't like," nathan said with his eyes focused on the road before him even though he knew Aleea was upset at the time.

"I wouldn't force you Nathan, but would you be uncomfortable if I did it?" ask Aelea.

"Mmmm, maybe that's the way it is, because we're not used to doing that a long time ago" Nathan replied.

Aleea only let out a long sigh and then took his eyes off Nathan. In his heart he only thought that the man next to him was indeed very cold, much colder than before they were married.

"Did memory loss make me lose my true self? why did I decide to marry a man like Nathan? is that how much I love him?" inner Aleea asked inwardly.

After some time on the way, they arrived home. Nathan walked in front of Aleea without even turning his head towards Aleea who was walking behind Nathan.

"He's a really cold guy" Aleea said in her heart.

The days have changed. There comes a time when Nathan has to go outside the island to monitor the development of new projects there.

"Don't forget to tell me every day, at least I know you're okay there" Aleea told Nathan.

"I see, if there's anything you can call Evan because I must be very busy there and maybe I'll rarely check my phone" Nathan replied.

"You're my husband, why should I call Evan?" aelea Protest.

"Evan can come whenever you need her, Aleea, I've also asked her to help me take care of you while I'm off the island" Nathan replied.

Aleea simply sighed without saying anything, his face bowed in lethargy as Nathan had to leave for a few days.

"I'll be home soon after I finish my work, I'll go first!" nathan said, holding Aleea's shoulder and walking away.

"Didn't you want to hug me before you left?" aelea asked half-calling.

Nathan stopped his steps, sighed in annoyance then turned his body and smiled.

"It's a hassle" Nathan said inwardly as he took his steps toward Aleea.

"Take care of yourself, just call Evan if you need anything because I'll be very busy while I'm there" Nathan said, hugging Aleea.

"You also have to take good care of yourself, take care of your heart too, don't let anyone tease you!" aelea's reply tightened up to embrace Nathan.

"Don't worry, I won't be tempted by anyone!" nathan said, releasing Aleea from his arms.

Suddenly Aleea tiptoed and landed a brief kiss on Nathan's cheek which of course made Nathan freeze at that moment.

"So your heart is for me!" aelea whispered in Nathan's ear that made Nathan sober up.

Nathan just smiled awkwardly, patted Aleea's head gently and walked away.

"What did he just do? he must be crazy!" nathan rubbed his cheek while he was in the car.

Somehow Nathan felt his chest suddenly thump, he felt nervous for no reason as he knew it.

Elsewhere, Vina had just printed out her work and brought it to Evan's room. Vina knocked on the door a few times before she came in and gave Evan her work.

Evan then takes a map and gives it to Vina.

"It doesn't need to be completed today, but tomorrow afternoon the report should already be here!" said Nathan.

"But tomorrow I'm on leave sir, so I'll be working on it today as well" Vina replied.

"The holidays? how long?" ask Nathan.

"Just one day" replied Vina.

"Then do it right now!" said Evan.

"Okay sir, excuse me!"

Evan nodded his head without saying anything.

"What's wrong with her? why did his attitude suddenly change? is it because Nathan reprimanded him?" inner Evan asked inwardly.

"But once he was on leave, Nathan went off the island today, it could have been for 2 or 3 days Nathan was there and suddenly Vina took a leave of absence, there's no way they're planning this, is it?"

Evan shook his head, trying not to think negatively even though most of him believed what he was thinking at the time.

"You're so outrageous if you really planned all this to go alone with Vina, Nathan!" evan said in his heart.
