Murder In The Old Castle

Murder In The Old Castle
X. Reading Rooms

Karina instantly closed the old diary she read. There is a fear of slipping in the heart. The words of Cornellio Sham disturbed his heart. How could the man possibly sense that anyone would be killed tonight?

“You scared me,” murmured Karina.

“I told you, don't believe anything I say. Some people think I'm crazy. If not crazy, how could I possibly fantasize so perfectly about the embodiment of spirits or ghosts? I've never met them before, but they just came in my dreams,” Cornellio said.

“I'm impressed with your writing, Cornellio. Really am. I don't like horror, the metaphysical world or anything like that. Kinda cowardly. But that doesn't mean I'm anti-horror,” Karina said. He began to be interested in the theme of the chat carried by Cornellio.

“I write to satisfy my inner desire, Karina. Not to satisfy anyone. So when my novel became a best-seller, I considered it a bonus,” Cornellio explained.

“That's great for motivation.” Karina smiled.

The chatter came to a halt as Tiara Laksmi's footsteps hurriedly entered the reading room. His face looks worried. The young woman chose to sit alone in the other corner of the reading room, regardless of Cornellio and Karina who had been there.

“Tiara, are you okay?” ask Cornellio. He turned his head toward the worried young woman.

“Oh, sorry. I didn't know you guys were there. Sorry!” tiara Laksmi.

“You look restless. Something going on?” search Cornellio.

“I'm fine. Just a little uncomfortable. The situation here is stressing me a little.”

“Don't think too much, Tiara! Once we subdue the killer, we'll relax soon, vacation to Bali or wherever. Enjoy dinner at an elegant restaurant or dance with the girls at a party. You think I'm not worried? I miss surfing in Lombok. I feel like I've been thrown into another world in a place far away from this civilization. Relax!” entertain Cornellio's.

Karina resumed reading the old diary, while Cornellio switched the chat to Tiara.

“You think all this will be done soon?” ask Tiara.

“Maybe. I suggest you stay in the room tonight!” cornellio's Suggestions.

“Why? Isn't Hans having a party tonight with Maira? You didn't join them?”

“I will join. I haven't heard cool music for a long time. Wonderful idea. It's just, I also felt a bad feeling tonight,” Cornellio said.

Tiara frowned, trying to understand what Cornellio said. While he was thinking, Cornellio suddenly burst out loud, like a madman.

“Don't trust me! I'm just kidding! I have no intention of scaring you!” Cornellio.

“Don't believe anything he says, Tiara! He is a horror novel writer who mostly fantasizes. Maybe he fantasizes that this castle is also inhabited by a female ghost in a white dress or the ghost of an old priest!” karina Seloroh. He wanted to go outside the reading room.

“Where are you going?” ask Cornellio.

“I need a mood-booster. All the rooms here are kind of creepy. Take a short walk to hunt for oxygen in the tea garden. Anyone want to come?” tawar Karina's.

“I don't think that's a good idea. We don't know the area around here. Fear of getting lost. The tea garden here is like a confusing maze,” Cornellio refused.

“Missed? You're the son of TK? There's only one access road around here. I'm sure I won't get lost!”

“I think it's better for me to calm down here than to meet him ...,” complained Tiara.

“Happy Karina!”

Cornellio waved his hand.

Karina threw a sweet smile, then passed from the reading room. Cornellio refocused on continuing the conversation with Tiara. This time he chose to sit in front of Tiara, staring at the girl fixedly.

“Somebody bothering you?” Cornellio asked a question.

“Not bother just sometimes make me sick!” lamented Tiara.

“Hans? The vampire face?”

“Who else?”

“Tno worries. He is so.” Cornellio's laughter broke. Tiara was getting riled up to see Cornellio's laughter. He needed moral support from the man. But who would have thought, he felt like he was laughing.

“I'll be back to the room only!” Tiara intends to end the conversation with Cornellio.

Anxiety enveloped his heart. In a hurry he left Cornellio who looked at him in wonder.

“Adios, Mr.Cornellio!” Tiara's hand-drawn closed the conversation.

“Don't forget to stay in the room, Tiara!” shout Cornellio. Unfortunately Tiara has passed.

The reading room is back. Cornellio went down the silent hallways of the shelves. I don't know how many thousands of books Anggara Laksono collection. One by one he explored each shelf. Almost every genre of novel he encountered, arranged according to the alphabet of the author's name. Unexpectedly, Anggara Laksono so neatly arranged his book collection.

Plaaac!

Suddenly Cornellio heard the sound of a book falling off a shelf in the next hallway. The sound was so clear, especially supported by the atmosphere of a quiet reading room.

“Tiara? Said you wanted to go back to your room?” Cornellio smiled, coming towards the direction of the voice.

Blank.

There's no one there. The hallway was silent. Some books were seen falling on the floor. Even so, Cornellio was undaunted. He never believed in ghosts in his entire life. The fall of the books on the floor made him wonder.

Is there anyone else in the reading room?

The sun inched to the edge of the horizon as Karina managed to sneak out towards the verdant tea garden. He breathed deeply, feeling his true freedom. A little run along a small path surrounded by tea trees. Karina enjoys her solitude. Release the feeling of boredom.

Not only Karina, all residents of the castle began to be haunted by feelings of boredom and anxiety. Trying to find fun, while Michael tries hard to solve the murder mystery involving the writers. Inside the castle, Hans was ready with his little party. The partying churn exploded uncontrollably.

Karina was unaware that the day was getting darker. That's right what Cornellio said. Now he was confused to find his way home. Around it are only thick tea plants.

There was a branching of the path ahead, further agitating him. The excitement that had been royal, began to shift into anxiety. With a huff he went down the path, but no highway was found. He hopes to meet someone who can help him.

A familiar figure was suddenly seen at the end of the road. Karina smiled. Half-running he approached the figure. The relief began to spread.

“Luckily you are here, I almost got lost earlier ....” Karina said.

Wuuuuu!

Unfortunately, this was not the answer Karina received. The figure suddenly struck a sharp object, directly hitting his wrist. Blood poured out instantly!

“You! What are you doing?” peekit Karina's.

“I'm sorry Karina! You you must die today!” said the figure while smiling cynically.

With infinite anxiety, Karina turned towards running leaving the figure.

Unfortunately, that figure also did not remain silent. His steps are fast catching up with Karina.

“Tolooong!” karina Lolong.

Karina's voice evaporated in the wind. Who heard his screams in the middle of such a vast tea garden?

In panic. Karina tries to save herself from the figure who continues to pursue her. Tired is no longer felt. In a breathless state, he stopped. He turned his head back, the figure was already invisible.

Disappear?

His whole life he never felt this scared. His chest pounded. He felt death waiting before his eyes. He had to fight against his fears, or die in vain!

Karina breathed a sigh of relief. He had to get off the farm immediately.

Bruuk!

Unfortunately he had not had time to move, the figure that was chasing earlier suddenly pounced from the side. Karina slammed to the side, thrashing as the figure gripped firmly. His feet kicked, but the effort was in vain. He felt a sharp object tear through his stomach! Puncture after stab landed on the chest and stomach of the poor woman ....

“Aaaahhhhh.....!!” the shrill sound of Karina immediately disappeared erased the sound of the roar of the wind yeng blew fiercely.

Silent.
