Murder In The Old Castle

Murder In The Old Castle
XCS. A Name List

Helen looked alert, turned to her left, looked around, in case someone caught her. He was about to enter his room, which was located at the back of the castle. When she felt safe, she opened the door. Inside the not-so-large room, he saw a black-robed figure already waiting to sit on the side of the bed. Helen locked the door immediately.

“There's bad news?” ask Helen.

“Very bad. My mother was killed by that damn doctor. I'll chop his body up. I swear!” furious cloaked figure.

“I will help as much as I can, but in return you have promised about the gold bars in Anggara's room vault,” said Helen.

“You have found the secret code of the safe lock?” ask the cloaked figure.

“Unfortunately not. Anggara just kept the secret code in his own brain. He didn't even tell Rania. The only person who might know the secret code was Mariah. You better not finish him off first,” Helen said.

“I haven't killed him yet. But others are starting to keep me busy. Especially after the arrival of the two policemen. Why didn't you just spit it up with poison back then?”

“Sorry, I was a little careless, because at that time I thought they would leave soon after I told you that Anggara was out of town. They seemed suspicious, even one of them went around somewhere, ”light Helen.

“Hmm. I'm getting sick of it. We need to get rid of all of them, and then we both run away in that cop car. The longer we do not act, the more people will be interested in coming to this castle. Those kids who were camping made me angry! Though I've bullied some of them in the log house in the forest! If they are still reckless, finish them all!” grunts cloaked figure.

“I understand. All this time I've never killed, I'm not used to doing like you,” Helen said.

“Kill the weakest first among them,” whispered the cloaked figure.

“Who?”

“I don't like people who interfere with my business. Cornellio has a friend who's hurt, right? He could be a dangerous enemy if he survives. Kill her! Whatever the way, I want him dead!”

“You mean? Arvan?”

“Yes, I don't know his name. Just kill that guy!”

“But ... but how?”

“Please be smart little Helen. Remember that! Gold is so much. And I won't give it for free to you. Think of a way! There are a thousand and one ways to kill!”

“Ba-fine. I will kill the man,” Helen replied slightly stuttering.

“Now go! I have to do another job. Let no one suspect that we know each other. You sure no one caught you when you entered this room?”

“I don't think so,” replied Helen.

“Good. Now out!”

Helen nodded. He rushed out, then closed the door. Suddenly he was surprised by someone who knew already near the door.

“What are you doing here?” Helen was surprised.

“Ma-sorry. I want to meet Mr Ammar, can you show me his room?” ask a young man who was suddenly there.

“I told you to call me Helen! What do you want to see him, Ben?”

“There's something I want to tell him,” Ben said.

“Come back to the room and don't go out! Ammar is ill and does not want to be disturbed. If you're still out, then I'll lock you in from the outside!” threaten Helen.

“But Helen, this is important!” insist Ben.

Ben nodded weakly. He had no choice but to obey the middle-aged woman's orders.

Maira wrote down the names of anyone who was in the castle on a piece of paper, then handed it to Reno. He tried to remember anyone who had been or is currently still in the castle.

“There are some names I crossed out. That means the person is dead or has gone somewhere,” said Maira.

Reno received the piece of paper, glaring at the list of names that were there. He was surprised when he read the name of one of the list of names Maira had given.

“You are sure of this name?” Reno showed the name to Maira again.

“Yes, I'm sure! The author is here, ” Maira replied.

“Gosh! The original author is dead, Maira. I think the one here is someone else. Maybe a self-styled author!” reno.

“What? So all this time? But I see the same face. I've seen it before.” Maira looks unsure.

“They're twins. And his twin knew the intricacies of his twin brother's life. Worse yet, this twin allegedly killed the original author. He stole all the identity of the author, therefore he easily infiltrated the castle,” Reno replied.

“Yes my God, he's really a psychopath! I really did not expect,” muttered Maira.

“You know where it is now?”

Maira shook her head, then said,” I have rarely met lately. I don't know, obviously he's hanging around here. I'm a little scared right now, can I just come with you?” Maira.

“Hmm. You may. Now we focus on finding that self-styled writer. I'm afraid the others don't know yet, so he easily infiltrated as if nothing had happened. By the way, can you take me to see Ammar first? I have something to discuss with him. I'm sure he doesn't know any new facts yet, because I see this castle isolated from the outside world,” pinta Reno.

“Sure, let me take you to see him,” replied Maira.

They immediately came out of the room, down the hallway to Ammar's room on the first floor. They hope not to meet other people, because at this time the position is dangerous. The hallway looked quiet, with the carpet beginning to dust. Helen's been getting a little seen lately.

“This castle is very spacious huh? For people who have never been here will certainly be lost,” said Reno.

“Yes, this castle is spacious and many secret rooms inside. I'm sure in that reading room there's a secret room or something. Everyone thought I was fantasizing when I said there was a cloaked figure about to kill me. Obviously I had locked the door of the reading room from the outside, but the figure disappeared without a trace,” Maira explained.

“Later I want to explore that room again. I'm also very curious. My instincts say there's something hidden behind its walls, and there's a dark secret deliberately buried for years. I've read the history of this castle before,” Reno said.

“I will accompany you to uncover the veil that covers this castle,” said Maira.

They arrived in front of Ammar's room. Maira knocks on the door slowly, then opens it immediately, as she believes Ammar has not been able to walk given the leg injury is in recovery.

“Ammar?” greet Maira.

Reno and Maira went into the police room, but found no one there. The bed looks neat. The room also looks neat, like it was cleaned. There's breakfast on the table. Mandadak Maira's face was anxious. Is Ammar still not recovered? Where did the cop go?

“He's not in place. It's freaky. He has a leg injury, where did he go?” ask Maira.

“You mean, maybe someone took her away?” ask Reno.

“Not just bring it, Ren. My feelings aren't good. I'm afraid someone has bad intentions for her!”
