Murder In The Old Castle

Murder In The Old Castle
126. Poor Dog

The people crowding around the riverbank waited questioningly, curious about what was inside the bloodstained sack. Wandi's camera also focused on the sack that had opened the police slowly. Reno hopes anxious, so that the sack is not something she fears.

To make it look clearer, Reno approached to check the contents of the sack himself. The pieces of flesh still dripping blood were in the sack. For a moment, Reno seemed to stop breathing. He was worried that what he saw was pieces of human flesh. However, he breathed a sigh of relief because the one inside the sack was a piece of dog meat. Looks like it was a dog that roamed the streets a lot.

“This dog meat ...”

The police officer who opened the sack muttered, staring at Reno. The detective just nodded slowly. Meanwhile, the crowd was sighing in relief, but some were grumbling in disappointment. They were hoping to get a good show that morning. One by one they left the place, returning to their usual activities.

Among those disappointed was Gilda Anwar. He also hopes to get some good news. Unfortunately, what became of his hope was not granted when he found out what was in the sack. However, he continued to broadcast to the public about the discovery. He approached Reno who was calling the office.

“Sorry, Sir. As we all have seen, that mysterious sack contained cut-up dog meat. Do you suspect there is a correlation between this sack and the two previous murder events?” ask Gilda.

“As you can see, whoever put the sack is sure to have his soul disturbed. I don't want to suspect anything, and I'll just talk based on facts,” Reno replied.

“As we have said, that the citizens of this city are increasingly agitated by the many terrors associated with murder cases. Is there any significant progress on those two cases?” ask Gilda again.

“Not yet. We haven't concluded anything yet. Both of these murder cases are being investigated, so I hope the public does not panic or fear. If you are afraid, the villain will win. He will exploit your fears to go further,” Reno said.

“What steps will the police take next, Sir?”

“Sorry, I will not comment anything, because the killer is still on the loose. So whatever it is going to do we cannot say,” replied Reno

He thought, this time he had to soften a little against Gilda Anwar, because this news will be broadcast on influential national TV such as Channel-9. He did not want the police to get a bad reputation due to bad news.

“One more question, Sir. Is there any recent development about the girl who ..”

“Sorry. I don't answer uncertain news. So I suggest you don't dramatize the news. Sorry, I have to get back to the office!”

Reno cuts off Gilda's question. He knew Gilda would be looking for questions about the missing girl from last night. Reno felt no need to publish the news to the media, even though the news was true. He chose silence, leaving the crowd.

While a hundred meters away from the crowd of people on the riverbank, a white sedan parked on the sidewalk alongside other cars. In it, a human figure all black flaps singed, while in the back seat looks Nayya who is still in a state of bonded and mouth clothed. They watched the people who started to disperse from the crowd.

“You see, Nay! Those fools have been eaten by my deceit. They think the dog's carcass is you. Take it easy, no one really misses you. You think your friends would care that much for you? Lookie! They even threw Jenny's body into the lake. Is it worth calling a friend? Maybe they don't care about you right now!” grin the black figure.

“Not only those people are stupid, but also the police. I'm sure the ones who panic over your loss are the police, for taking their good name. Yourparents? Of course they will panic. But a month later they'll shut down the past, even throw away your personal belongings, hug your sister, and try to forget your name. Sounds unfair, right?”

Instantly, Nayya remembered her parents at home. He began to shed tears. He knew what the figure was saying was not true. His father and mother loved him very much. Of course they would be very lost if he really died.

Nayya did not expect that the figure she knew would do this to her. He wanted to fight, but in vain. The ties in the hands are so strong. The more he struggled, the more his hands hurt. He just nodded with everything that happened to him.

The white car drove into a road that was not so crowded, disappeared at the turn of the road. The atmosphere of a bright morning, making residents immediately forget the incident on the riverbank. The city is beating as usual.

Tok .. tok .. tok!

Rasty's room door was knocked a little hard. The girl squirmed lazily, then glanced towards the digital clock on her desk. He considered it too early, even though the sun had risen from earlier. He got up, yawned, then opened the door lazily.

“What the hell is Mah! Early morning too!” rasty grumbled when he saw Mama standing in front of the door with a hostile look.

“What time did you come home last night?” search the mama.

“As usual, Mah!” answer Rasty quickly.

“As usual? Don't lie to you! Mom waited until 12pm, but you haven't come home yet. Are you drunk? Was the murder of two of your friends not a valuable lesson?” cecar mama Rasty's.

“I'm not drunk, Mah. Yes, I did come home more than 12 because I was waiting for a taxi. Many times I hailed a taxi but no one came. The city is getting quieter, and this has nothing to do with the murders of Jenny and Alma!” cilah Rasty's.

“You should focus more on your college, Rast! We've been struggling to pay for your college, but you're even delicious. Go home every morning. Not good with the neighbors either. What do you want to be!” nagel Mom.

Rasty grunting. His mind feels dead-end. He felt cramped hearing mama's scolding early in the morning. He wanted to argue, but he decided to be quiet. Mama kept nagging long and short.

“Later tonight, you can't go out! You heard no news this morning. The city is becoming unsafe. Even dogs are mutilated. All parents forbid their daughter to come out. So don't wander again tonight!” toilet Mama.

“But Ma, I have an appointment with Lena and Miranti tonight! I'm not running around. We want to learn!"

“Lena and Miranti continue huh? It seems like they are the ones who have a bad influence in your life. Gini aja deh, mending while you do not need to meet them first. Let Mama call them. It's for your good, Ras!”

“Gosh! Mah, this is too much. Mama can't do that. It's not fair the name!” rasty protest.

“Sorry Rasty. This is the best! You've been stressed lately. Yesterday a cop came here looking for you, but you're not there. Mama's worried about nothing happening to you. So you can't meet Lena and Miranti!”

“Mah!”

“No offer Rasty! Fast shower and breakfast!”
